If Port Vale could beat Peterborough, Morecambe, Cheltenham and Accrington we would be very much obliged...

Difficult tonight, no Wilson or Harrison as well as Conlon so essentially a young lad on loan up front who’s hit and miss in Mipo! Tough ask this one hopefully not a long injury for both the main strikers

Considering we haven’t played much, our injury list is ridiculous. Playing 4th choice striker is not ideal. We look short on options.

We’ve only got two attacking midfield options on the bench to change it and Mipo is hit and miss. Can’t see us scoring.

We haven't had a game for 2 weeks yet have still managed to pick up more injuries. They must have known before now that Wilson proctor and Harrison would be out so I'm disgusted that vale haven't brought a striker in. As soon as Peterborough score this is game over.

Got to be the right striker though I guess but does feel like writing games off like we did in August. Trust the process and all that. Was a nasty tackle (somehow it wasn’t given as a foul!) on Wilson so guess it’s worse than thought.

Last week vale were saying in the press that they want give it a good go at making the play offs but with that line up out and the amount of injuries we always seem to get there's no chance of that happening.

We did it last year with worse I guess! But yeah this is a different level altogether. Take a point if offered now.

No way have Sky got Michael Brown as an analyst for this. They clearly didn't do much research on that one...

Christ what dark days you’ve just dug up! Only decent thing he did was sign Worrall

They've actually let him loose on the tactics board, enough to make you shudder even now.

Been poor no doubt, that said I think many there are more interested in trying to keep warm.

Attritional half as expected. Benning should really have scored for us but other than that would say Peterborough been the better in attack. Usually we are a better second half team so will see if that holds here.

Yeah Worrall is causing their number 3 a torrid time (surely that’s a FK when he makes a back for him!) seems our best chance of joy but clearly missing Wilson and or Harrison.

Feels a low attendance tonight, over 7k with season tickets sold but imagine many are tuning into the box instead!

Dennis to come on around the hour mark for me. Would also look at Funso, we've been rather sloppy in possession and when he is on the pitch things just seem more in control. Lewis Cass doing really well, great to see it after what was quite a worrying moment at FGR.

He’s always better with Woz, I’d be tempted assuming Woz isn’t fit to do 90 to let Sammy have a go at their full back.

We're showing what we are tonight, a team lacking its best players. I had a feeling this might happen. Been very poor but this team out tonight would struggle in league 2.

Something we really need to do is find some competition for Benning, he's been very exposed tonight and at the moment nobody to challenge his spot in the team.

Just frustrating second half how sloppy we’ve been. These are the worst side to win here by some stretch this season.

Well that was dogshit. Thought we were starting to get a head of steam and then Peterborough scored and from then on the wheels came off a bit from us. Shows really why the goal is and still remains consolidation in this league not looking any higher.

Absolutely. We looked miles off, although with the caveat that we're missing 4 of our best players. Peterborough showed what happens when you manage to get 2 or 3 quality players in. They were dire apart from 2 decent forwards.

It's going to take us 3 to 4 years to unearth players of that quality, whereas Peterborough can buy them instantly.

Shows up the issues we need to address in January, left back as Benning needs competition and we had no options to replace him when he lost it, a keeper as Stevens is not the answer and a forward not made of glass. I get that if Wilson wasn’t injury prone he would be way higher than Vale but Harrison seems to be the same.

We had this issue in August and last December and can’t keep writing off periods due to injury. Two strikers on we beat that Posh side tonight.

Once the goal went in we lost the plot altogether and put in one of those stinkers we do every couple of months. That last 40 minutes was probably as bad as we’ve put in this season.

At the end of the day no team in this division would play well with your captain tom conlon out injured and your 3 strikers Harrison Wilson and proctor all out injured too basically leaves you toothless upfront and lacking a leader and basically the heart of the team missing. I'd have tomorrow off work now and drive Stevens back Oxford fucking terrible keeper wouldn't even get in Oxford city side let alone Oxford utd. I presume whoever gave Jones man of the match did it as a joke as only vale player who played well was worrall and they subbed him off. I just find it poor from the recruitment team that they knew these players were going be out injured but in the 2 weeks since the last game they failed to bring in a striker. If not of them are fit for Morecambe on Saturday then you may aswell put that down as a loss aswell.

Weird how much worse Vale looked tonight then 2 weeks ago at our place, I think other then Harrison the other missing players tonight were out in that game too and they still looked a strong side once they got going.
