What horrendous goals to concede, long balls have been causing us difficulty all afternoon, very unlike us in recent weeks.

Yeah, like the away game where we just concede the same goals over and over, except this time it's long balls from the keeper rather than crosses from Barnett.

Think we're banned from shooting, and Harper is banned from getting fouls given.

I like to argue against the view we are a long ball team but as that first goal came from a kick from our Keeper I'll keep quiet today.
I think with the way Smith pulls the defenders here there & everywhere with his running, we're gonna be an even more long-ball side :eye:

5 changes for us, definitely a selection of a squad that have three games this week with Jackson, Bayliss and Collins all on the bench. Darikwa not even in the 18.

Can't work out whether we're sticking with 5-3-2 or switching to a 4-3-3. Either way, we don't have any full backs or wing backs in the squad!

Clucas straight in from the start for his first appearance since signing in January and two Academy lads leading the line in Draper and Makama (who ironically did in the home game against Orient as well).

Line up is okay considering what we’ve got available, other than maybe Boateng not playing.

Oh my lord I forget how deprived Blackpool is, it really is depressing.

Straightforward away win for once. Makes a difference when we've got quality up front now, Smith looks the business.

Don't think we had to play that well to get it done, we just had to be professional. Northampton are worst team I've seen us play over 2 games by a mile.

Massive win, that. Absolutely massive. Stops the horrible rut, and hopefully something to build on heading to Charlton next week.

Very comfortable win. Dont think they had a shot on target. Smith is very good.
Nice to see us control an away game. Don't think we'll have an easier game for the rest of the season

Utterly dreadful. Doesn’t help we’re again missing a few of our better performers but woof that was a tough watch. Defensively all over the place but probably not too surprising, and when James Wilson is the only attacking change you can make you may as well pack up and go home.

Comfortable afternoon for Wrexham, who bullied us.

Nicely observed applause for John Newton from all sides so good on the Wrexham fans for that.

Every time I’ve been is a stag, so I’ve never seen it sober. Maybe why I think it’s alright.
2 streets in from the front is very deprived and run down. Lots of drug problems.

Started really well then first time Blackpool get ball in our final third they cut us open with a brilliant through ball and it’s nicely taken.

That’s how it is when things are going badly for you in this sport a goal completely out of nowhere!

1-1 now Will Evans, deserved Mansfield been the better side in the first 20 but worried about Blackpool pace out wide.

Your 36 is a cry baby, Harper should never have been booked.
As it happens that may have helped us as he had to be subbed then Mitchell came on instead and we looked better from then on.
Not a classic, and Cambridge will rue their chance to lead, but one moment of quality decided it.
Given the workout in the week including a 3 hour game of football can't complain about that ugly win.

Game over when that first goal went in at Orient. Not sure it was a freekick beforehand, but we've defended dreadfully for both the 2 goals conceded. We were very tight at the back in previous seasons, but seem to be making a lot of mistakes, doesn't help with the constant changes.

Everytime I've seen Orient they have a lot of pace, power and accuracy in their attacks, something i wish we would have. We haven't got enough goals in the squad, just hope it doesn't get worse. That said, we've had the ball in the net twice both ruled out.

Orient look a great shout for a playoff place.

2-1 at HT Baccus with a screamer, should be 3-1 Evans had a chance to square it to Vickers with an open net but shot instead, may come to bite us that.

Blackpool done nothing other than that random bit of quality for the goal but you do feel like they can do that again.

Birmingham in complete control of the game but we gifted them a goal with some sloppy play. Our keeper handled outside the box so we should probably be down to 10. Birmingham are a really whiny team, would love to nick a scrappy goal but we’re struggling to do much atm, more likely they get a couple more

2 1 at the half, bit annoying as we could have scored 4, but Lincoln are a wily bunch.
Next goal will be huge.

And again, absolute stone wall penalty not just not given, but given a freekick to Burton!

We’re in the box about to shoot and as Ward swings his leg to kick the ball, a Burton player dives in and blocks his foot from kicking the ball.

A stone wall penalty in any situation. Not this ref, freekick to Burton for Ward kicking the Burton player. Absolutely staggering

3-1 now and Maris just missed a sitter to make it 4, in fact it was harder to miss it than score.

A bit of a turnaround at Shrewsbury, suddenly the time wasting has stopped
