I was disappointed not to win, from our point of view we missed some really good opportunities to score (Nombe doing his old mates a favour missing two good chances, then he failed to make the headed clearance which led to your equaliser).

However I accept that you could easily see it the other way, I've never seen an away team have so many corners in the first 10 minutes.

There's no atmosphere from the home crowd simply because some think we have a divine right to get promoted, plus our performances have been pretty much shit now for 3 seasons.

In the old days it was the supporters job to lift the players.
Sadly now it seems to be the other way around, added to that is the fact that SE splits opinion straight down the middle so half the crowd are hoping he fails.

Still enough of our problems, I'm glad you enjoyed your visit, the town is very gradually starting to see some investment down by the river and a new market hall under construction.
By the time you visit next year that decrepit old building next to the stadium should be demolished and a new hotel should be being built.

The stadium itself is now 13 years old but still looks pretty good, its sight lines are superb and if the crowd is up for it you can produce a brilliant atmosphere.
When we left Millmoor for 4 long years at Don Valley, I never for one minute thought we would ever play at such a fabulous stadium.

Of course fans have forgotten all that and poor old Tony Stewart is coming under increasing pressure despite covering a £1.7 million loss last season.

Fans eh!
How much do you reckon Tony Stewart has put in over the years? He's been a great owner for you. Fans do have short memories.

Rotherham's "new" ground is the best of its kind I've been to. Location fantastic which is rare for the modern new builds.

The stadium was projected to cost £20 million with the council putting in £5 million to get the plan off the ground.

TS is the owner of the stadium not Rotherham United so his investment in the club is safe to an extent.

Lord knows how much he has put in to get us to the Championship 3 times since we moved in to the stadium.

All you get from some "fans" is " what's happened to the transfer money from Victor, Rathbone, Barlaser, Crookes, Ajayi etc plus the TV money"

They think it costs a tenner a week to run a squad, a stadium and a training ground.
They all want new investors, I think be careful what you wish for.
Tony Stewart has given us more success than anyone else in our history.

Looking at their financial returns dated June 2024

The clubs profit and loss account is in debt to £7.6m, however this is covered by shares valued at only £2.8m.
So he has covered £4.8m which is up from £3m from previous year.

Also if he holds the stadium in a different company then he is ok.

It's not that much really, when you see clubs like Colchester's figures are greater than £30m.

Put all that money in to be 14th in League One. Not to say that's not great, just shows what you need to do to stand still these days.
It is great location yes but definitely more impressive from the outside than inside, especially with the 10 degree temperature difference!

We didn't install under soil heating because of the potential running costs, let alone heat the stands.
It is Yorkshire people running the club "Ah Much"

It was that kind of day Saturday though. When you weren't in the sun it was baltic. I was stood in Manchester Piccadilly station freezing my nuts off but as soon as I got outside it was mild.
