Half next week’s games (incl. ours) have been postponed for international call-ups, but a few games still going ahead.

Glamour games of the day at the top end of the table include Exeter v Lincoln and Stockport v Wrexham.

Only 4 points between 4th and 12th so even one win can throw you right up the table.

Sky pick the glamour ties.
We could go up to 5th if we win, however we will be without Magennis and Niskanen who have been excellent lately. Expecting another tough tie with likely one goal in it.

Had 12 missing yesterday but Roberts can play so back to 11 unavailable

HOWEVER McGeehan is suspended due to picking up his 5th yellow, Tyler Magloire went off with what looked like a dislocated shoulder and Baldwin went off with a calf strain so that makes it 14 unavailable if none of those are back fit. Utterly mental.

We haven't got anything from Stockpoet away since 2005.
Think that will still be accurate this time next week but we can't be any worse then last season surely

I'm just grateful it's on. Stockport is a superb Saturday away day with its proximity to Manchester.

We'll end up having played two or three more than most sides in the division after this, would happily take a point if offered right now. You might say "nothing since 2005" but it's not like players spend their pre-match preparations looking up historical results

Yesterday’s win takes the pressure off the Lincoln game somewhat. They’re a very good team so I expect a tough game, particularly with Niskanen and Magennis being unavailable. Both are pretty much the first names on the team sheet lately.

Should be an opportunity for the likes of Mitchell and Bird to get a start. I predict a 1-1 draw.

Sounds like we'll need a strong official for this one.

Yeah we will have bought off the referee like we always do. Just ask Notts County Zone and Spanishstag.

This was a game we thought we'd lose to international call-ups but Hackett aside, the rest are U21's for their respective countries and none of them managed to secure a Play-Off place in the qualifying stages.

Hamer has had to have an operation on his ankle injury and is out for months rather than weeks, which means we're treading water numbers wise in defence. It was a position I said at the end of August that we were running a bit of a risk with and perhaps one CB light and so it's proved.

On the plus side, we're hoping to have Erhahon fit again and it's always a plus when your best player returns!

Not really sure where I stand with our Bristol Rovers, Exeter and Wrexham run of games. In isolation I'd probably take a draw at all three but because they're consecutive, I can't say if it'd feel a productive run or not.

Exeter are similar to Bristol Rovers will a respectable home record so far this season and don't score or concede many either so I'd expect another tight game.

Charlton v the POSH seems to have been postponed - a late call up somewhere?

I wouldn't at all be surprised if this is 1 where we do remind the players we don't get a result here, so get your arses in to gear.

I feel like PP has Cloughies number, but I think DC always gets the upper hand over us at EP.

I think so, I thought it was strange when it came up on my twitter feed.
This shows how ridiculous the system is. Of Charltons three call ups, only Small was in the squad (came on as sub). Meanwhile our two call ups were pivotal figures in our side but we can't cancel...

I do agree to some extent but Anderson is also a starter, he just had a minor injury ahead of the Exeter game. And whilst Dixon has barely played throughout the season, given our lack of creativity and Tyreece Campbell being injured, he would potentially have played against Peterborough. Earlier in the season, we didn't postpone despite having enough call ups but with this current rut in form, I don't blame us.

there's the nub of it, you shouldn't be allowed to cancel just because you're on a poor run.
Again I don't disagree but think even on a good run of form, I wouldn't be surprise if that last minute call up for Small would have resulted in us calling the game off. I guess the solution is just to have every game off.

Baldwin being injured must be a bonus though surely?

Well, after the derby last weekend we just want a reaction (and not blind panic….) for the Barnsley game…
We still have half our first choice 11 out of action, and we’ve lost our keeper to a call up from Chile, so it’s likely to be a tough watch even if we can squeeze out a result.

Aye, like last year it depends on the reaction to something that horrific. And last year wasn't so good, post derby or at home to Barnsley.

Not getting cut drift seems to be the imminent business on our part.

Does my nut in when league one games are postponed due to “international call ups “ when in reality a few players get on the benches of their countries.
Especially when said 'internationals' are in the u21 squads who doesn't get a look in on the first team for their clubs.

And then there will be complaints about fixture congestion later in the season .

I see both sides of it, if you’re tinpot enough to still be playing this weekend fair enough.

We’ve 3 full internationals and an under 21, good enough for me for it to be off, but i do agree needs to be something done about it.

I’d start the season a week earlier and also if a side has called it off, look to have a rule if where both sides have been knocked out in the first round of the cup you play the round of the 2nd weekend.

Cloughie, sorry, Nigel, backed to the absolute hilt.

Nothing screams backed to the hilt than losing your best player without a replacement. Imagine Challinor trying to adapts to that, successfully.

Me neither.

This the same Challinor that has replaced serial promotion winners Madden, Sarcevic, Ryan Croasdale etc with kids?

Challinor is working with the GDP of a small Eastern European nation Stocky, impressive but not comparable.

He’s just obviously so well known, these internationals begging to play for him. Understandable.
