There's about two million people that live in a nine-mile radius of Stockport. This might be hard to comprehend when you're from a small parish hours away from any town large enough to have its own Primark, but the vast, vast majority of them couldn't give a toss about County.

In fact he could live next door to EP and still be statistically much more likely to be a city fan. If you lived round here you'd know they're not even remotely sympathetic towards their local team. Frankly I'd happier with a ref from a hundred miles away.

Still, ready-made excuse I suppose.

You lost me at him potentially being a City fan, that seems very unlikely!

We never do well at EP, I can only remember off the top of my head 3 wins in the last 25 years. Given we got an absolute pasting last year there too doesn't help. I wouldn't say we're rattled, but our squad is once again unsettled. By the sounds of some Stockport fans, they can win 3-1 or lose 3-1, so we need to perform better than in recent weeks. PP doesn't set out to win games away from home as much as our home games, more like containing then get the opposition on a counter attack, then sit on it. Be a tough game to call...
I've been there about 6 times I think and not sure we've ever taken a point, it's a graveyard for us. Still nightmares of Mayebi chucking one in there and that's when we had a great team. Mullin usually does well against them so I fancy him for a goal tomorrow if nothing else.

Be a red hot atmosphere there tomorrow, can't see us winning but obviously snap your hand off for a point right now.

Atmosphere is pretty shit at EP these days. A load of spoiled, slapped arses started coming now.

Mullin was quiet last year at EP but none of yours had a good game that day. I don't expect players like Mullin, McLean and Lee to be as poor as they were that day. Your back three will be also be compeletely different which is a shame because Barry and Olaofe rinsed Tozer, Boyle and Hayden last season.

Lee for one is a different player away from the Racecourse. If he's on the bench tomorrow then there wouldn't be too many complaints from our fanbase.

Been a seriously great player for us but at his ceiling now and not having too much impact on games up here, especially away.

Tozer and Boyle rinsed themselves last season, they didn't cope at all.

It may be in the home ends but you can make a proper racket in that little away end, it was a very good atmosphere last season from us lot.

I was in the Main Stand for that one (stand opposite) and you were loud.

Can rarely hear away fans from the Cheadle End though. Cheadle End is very loud on its day and has its moments but its moments are becoming less and less.

Would you say Mullin has hit his ceiling also mate?

As for our game tomorrow, “The Fosse Way Derby” is still the best named game in football. None of this “El Clasico” malarkey.

Would be over the moon with 3 points, but can’t see past a score draw. Lincoln are a very decent side, decent players etc. And with us missing Niskanen, Magennis & Doyle, it’ll be a tough ask.

2-2.

Yes definitely. I think he could have scored at Championship level a few years ago because he was so good but he is struggling to find space at this level and he's lost a yard as well I think after his injury and operation.

Still think he'll end up on about 15 goals this season eventually which is ok. Having him contracted until 2027 looks a bit fanciful at the moment but he's got legendary status at the club whatever happens.

Glad you're over it.

Nothing existed to get over with in the first place, but I can understand why someone wearing a certain pair of spectacles would think that, some take a defeat particularly hard, I think even a narrow victory can be a tad overwhelming, so I understand the mindset mate.

I’ll probably watch it if I’m in, pick of the bunch tomorrow, admittedly from a small selection.

Team looks weak with Harper and Watts starting. Alli up front on his own.
I'll take a draw now

Just the 8 missing today, but Erhahon returns to the bench. I thought we might throw him back in and go with a more solid Erhahon/McGrandles/Hamilton midfield but we've gone with Moylan in there who isn't really a CM or an 8 or 10 either - one of those players where you can't quite pin down to a position.

The first XI pretty much picks itself anyway, the only decision Skubala would have had to make was Cadamarteri or Makama up front with House. Weak bench overall, only three you'd probably throw on at some point.

Told you. Would probably have been a good game with two full sides

So that's 2 12.30 kick offs this season and 2 nil nil draws. Imagine going all that way for that one.

First half was a complete none event. Let Exeter have the ball, and keep our shape, make it difficult. We had two best chances from a free kick and also a Jefferies shot from 20 yards in that 1st half, but a half that will be forgotten about quickly.

2nd half has shown the value in Erhahon. Another defender injuried but Erhahon came on and he just makes things happen. We had much more of the ball 2nd half and Makama should probably have done better. Moylan the stand out player for us with space in 2nd half.

Surprised with how Exeter played, fully expected to be under the cosh but apart from a few spurts here and there, i felt we managed it well.

Don't think we did enough to win it all, but did have the best chances.

Red card the right decision for Woods, just unfortunate as genuine attempt for the 2nd yellow.

Hope taking off O'Connor at half time was a precaution. Don't think we have a game Tuesday, so hopefully Jackson or O'Connor will be back in next week.

Dreadful game and we were poor second half. Lincoln had some good openings and probably should have scored a couple at least. Moylan and Eharahon are very good.

A very niggly game and I’m not surprised there was a red card. Woods deserved both booking so no complaints.

Very little attacking threat from us and we massively miss Magennis up top as he brings so many others into play.

Oh well, take the point and run. Need to be so much better in the games coming up. Two clean sheets in a row is a positive though.

Agree with ewhat you've said there. Surprised with how little you offered up top. Moylan is really starting to find his groove last few weeks, he's been challenged with being more consistent and think he'll be a big player for us. Great to have Erhahon back after his injury spell.

Would have taken the draw beforehand, but if we had a bit more composure up front, may have left with all 3 points.

I lose track of who is currently out?

Jackson is short term
Walker hopefully back by Christmas
Ring - unsure how long for?
Hamer - longer term through until Jan
Bayliss - long term

Who else we missing?

Really? You must have known we were missing our best attacking players. We don't have a quality backup hence why I'm happy with the 0-0.
House lucky to not get a second yellow too, at least the Woods one didn't cost us.

That's house's game, always good value for a yellow and lives close to the edge. Defo a risk keeping him on as long as we did. Think he's only had 1 red for us.

Just a dead leg, thankfully.

Probably a game you need to win if you're serious about the PO's, the kinda game a Joe Taylor nicks it 1-0 for you or something.

The presenter on the Sky coverage is bloody awful. She really asked if Lincoln’s aim is to get into the play offs after missing out last season! No, I’m sure Lincoln are aiming for 13th FFS

Sowerby back into the side today after illness, good news. 12 minutes gone Sowerby stretchered off after his boot gets caught in the grass and his knee pops.

Mind boggling. Cannot catch a break.
