I can't say I've been impressed with your new manager bounce.

We did get a point the other week so that’s something of a bounce I suppose.

Big Dunc does at least shout and wave his arms about tbf rather then standing there cluelessly with his hands in his pockets, actually looks like a manager.

Thing is, we weren't good enough today, and Wycombe deserved their win, I thought we looked a bit lack luster and tired

I can't cope with opposition objectivity, your forum is the same - what's wrong with you people?

Mind you, I read on your forum that a few thought you might have levelled down the starting XI in order to stick out your best side in the Pizza Cup, if that's actually true then fucking hell, you deserve everything you get. :ffs:

I do think we dragged you into a scrap, which didn't favour you - and whilst it's not like you don't have a bunch of bruisers in your side who can give as good as they get, you'd have been better off trying to keep trying to do us down the wings like you were early doors.

Bradley was especially skinning Joe Jacobson, who's got the pace of an oil tanker.

What have you been feeding Randell Williams by the way, I don't remember him being able to throw like that when he played for us? :eye:

As Yeo says, a good point given the situation with injuries/suspensions before the game, injuries during the game and having to change shape after 15 minutes or so.

We've gone from leaving three players out the squad on Tuesday to being two players short in the squad in the space of 4 days.

We're goal shy, but 1 goal conceded in 6 now and that was offside.

Good early goal. Gibbons with the great assist. He has been looking a top player of late overlapping down the right
So exciting to watch when he is just gung ho down the line isn't he

I don't think Vale can complain about the ref today
Definite homer ref I have to say, that being said in the ground I thought he got the big calls right.

Wasn't impressed with a few of ours throwing themselves to the floor first half. Cut that shit out.

Great point for Fleetwood, another clean sheet, we are a tough team to beat at the moment. Good track record this season against the top teams away from home

I think ultimately they will cobble enough points together but Oxford right now just look a team that are getting sucked into the relegation scrap. Obviously they could correct that by sacking Robinson but it doesn’t seem they’re inclined to do that at the moment for whatever reason.

Frustrating afternoon but not unexpected.

Had the majority of the play but Fleetwood defended well and we couldn’t break them down. They had a couple of good chances too and could have nicked it.

They were value for a point with a backs to the wall away performance. After winning away in the week it’s not a terrible result for us. On to the next one!

Good win in the end, despite a nervy last 20 minutes or so.

Once again, as has been the theme in recent weeks, we looked the better team for much of the game. The difference being that we stuck one away and didn't concede any soft goals.

Exeter looked a pale shadow of the team we played earlier in the season. Do they rely too much on Brown? I don't think our keeper made a save all afternoon. At least during our poor run we've looked better than a lot of the teams we've played. Exeter were second best today and didn't really offer anything.

I actually thought the ref was pretty poor again today. I think he was too keen to dish out cards, but the lad who got sent off was stupid.

I thought we looked much more back to our selves today, we pressed well, defended well and Matty Taylor gave us that outlet we’ve missed.

That win today was typical of a home win we’d put in regularly during the Autumn, especially against sides around and below us in that we played the pitch well enough, we barely gave them a sniff and took the goal, felt similar to the Lincoln and Charlton wins we had.

Pett coming in helped, we had total control of the midfield and they didn’t have anything really up top which was a surprise a little as they’d put 7 past us this season in two games.

Forrester was outstanding and took the goal very well for a centre half, he’s had a tough time since his injury and deserved todays performance.

Hopefully that helps with the confidence, it’s worth noting the 6 who’ve beat us are all top 9 and we’ve been picking up points in the rare games recently against sides outside the top 9.

Feels a pressure release that, couple more wins probably does it.

He is, just hasnt done it enough so far.
Tended to stop then pass sideways or backwards for the large part of his career here. Probably due to the fact we are utter shit currently though.
Last few games he has looked decent, not sure why he was taken off today

Pett should be the first name on the team sheet for me. Always keeps things ticking over, rarely wastes possession and does a lot of good work. We always look better with him in the team.

4 wins from 5.
5 points clear and I’m 5 pints deep in Bristol.
Good lad, Bristol is great on the lash in my biased opinion.
That 2nd half today was as bad as ive seen us, you werent great but didnt need to be.
Wasnt sure if either of your goals were offside as I am bang in the centre, but horrific defending from us, if you can call it that.
There was talk of illness in the camp before the game but the players who played should do better nonetheless

We were utter dog shit in the first half against Accrington yesterday. Arguably should have gone in more than a goal down. Cotterill put Bayliss on at the start of the second half and that changed us for the better. We attacked with more tempo and we unlucky not to level on the hour mark when Pyke hit the bar. If that goes in then I reckon we’d have gone on to win it as you could tell Accrington were a side scraping for their lives down at the bottom end.

Unfortunately it does look to be season over for us. Frustrating that those in the top 6 (minus possible Plymouth) dwarf everybody else’s budget and it was always going to be a tough ask to get into the play offs this year despite us having a top half budget. Last month has been fun atleast.

Time to hit the beach a little bit earlier than we normally do and I’m sure we’ll spend a bit on the summer to try and give the top 6 another push next season. Just need to make sure we keep Leahy & Bayliss and get Udoh back fit again.

Onto Wycombe next weekend!

Apparently Sean O’Brien was the 38th different player we’ve used in 33 League 1 games this season. Difficult to find any sort of form when you use that many players.

I feel like we played Charlton on a bad day Saturday, apart from a few nice touches from their number 21 [Scott Fraser] they just didn't have anything. You could tell Rak-Sakyi had a bit of ability, but never really troubled. Macauley Bonne had a terrible afternoon, so nothing really stuck upfront for them. A really bad day in the office, shame we squandered a few chances - a couple of sitters - to not improve our goal difference.

It's another clean sheet for the unlikely yet imperious back four of Sibley (CAM), Cashin (CB), Forsyth (LB), Smith (CM). That combination have now played 10 games together, conceded 4 and kept 7 clean sheets. If it works, it works, and credit to them, but never in my life would I have anticipated that back four. Sibley at left back is still crazy to me.

Conceded at home for the first time in the league since the end of October, two well taken goals by MK Dons to be fair. We are a different beast this season and I was never worried over the result.

Since losing at Plymouth in the last minute on October 4th we've gone 19 games unbeaten in the league to equal a club record, 13 wins and 6 draws.

No, that’s a pretty standard day at the office.
