Watched a local non-league game today and saw the funniest incident I’ve ever seen on a football pitch. :D

The away team were awarded a corner kick and their goal-kicker embarrassingly took out the corner flag post at same time as kicking the ball.:lol:

Never seen that happen before.

The ref carried on with game although the post was lying down on field of play. He replaced it at next stoppage of play.

At half time I saw that table toppers Walsall were losing 0-1 to Salford and expressed my surprise. The guy sitting next to me said that he was a Stoke City supporter and that they had lent one of their players to Walsall for 1st half of season. He was proud to say that during that time Walsall did better than good and have been stuttering since he returned to his parent club.

At least it was the away team that got embarrassed although they did win 4-1.
Never seen Stoke City play although I have good memories of them when Stanley Matthews was on their books.

Certainly your form has made this a fair bit more of a formidable challenge than I was anticipating it being as little as four weeks ago so fair play. On the quiet we’re unbeaten in 2025 so should be an interesting one.
You had to say it didn't you

As expected a tight game against Bradford. Two decent teams. The first goal was always going to be important today. We are defensively very solid so if we get in front we more often than not win the game.

A thoroughly deserved win for Morecambe, more desire, more effort. Fleetwood struggled to match them. Very poor penalty decision in the 1st half but that's the way games go sometimes.
I hope the Shrimps show this form for the rest of the season, and if they do they, they will have a great chance of staying in this league. I hope so because I love a trip to this fine old Lancashire club

I don't think there's any conspiracy against us but when people say it evens itself out, it simply hasn't with us. Today's ref was a joke. We know what Accrington are going to try and do, and they dud it in spades. The ref fell for it. Do they not research who they are refereeing before the game? Beyond the sending off, which was a joke, the general decisions were awful, inconsistent and poor. Bookings handed out at random, fouls when there wasn't, wrong throw ins and corners. It was just an awful display, and whatever anyone says, we've had more than any this season and very few in our favour. The ref should look back at that game with embarrassment. He looked embarrassed in the second half.

On to the game. Accrington were dreadful and I mean dreadful. It would have been 4 or 5 had we continued with 11 on the pitch. They were awful. They didn't fare much better with an extra man to be honest.

My favourite moment was their goalscorer retrieving the ball after 90 minutes after he had celebrated in front of the home end for his goal. He got absolute pelters and was frightened to death. So funny when these immature idiots get it back.

Accrington got exactly what they deserved, nothing.

Cannot wait. If it’s anyone that we want to beat it’s them. I sincerely think I speak for most
Mmmm...after your team and manager lied and said they'd been attacked on the pitch at our playoff game- a proven lie. Plus you thought you'd won the playoff after the first game, both team and manager. I'm not sure whether your team or fans is as likeable as you think.

As for Grimsby, they were crying before Xmas when they were not allowed to dive to get Deborah sent off after about 6 attempts. Imagine the entitlement? I'd love it if we were allowed to kick a ball without getting a red...or here's a crazy thought? These cheats actually get punished for diving.
Yeah it’s because we knew all about the agenda against Vale that’s been happening so we tried our luck but unfortunately the referee that day must’ve not got the memo.
Same as the referee who disallowed the perfectly good Carlisle goal against Vale earlier in the season, he must not be in on it either.
I bet all the refs who are in on the obvious Vale agenda were well pissed off with those 2 refs.

Shit refs everywhere , we've had two shockers at home this season Vs chesterfield (although the 2 sendings off were correct) & Port Vale
There's no agenda, just bad decisions. We all get them.

Indeed. Another loss chalked up at Donny. We absolutely hate going there. Always a miserable day…2 wins in 11 now. Yeah we are not getting promoted.
We absolutely hate having you.

It’s the level of decision that’s concerning me. Today he is in a great position. Red card?

Bromley there ball is about 3 foot over the line, there’s also the handball as he clears it from behind the line.

Chislett getting hacked from behind at Stevenage last season in the box which should of been a red and a penalty.

Today was worse though as he just lost the plot. We had bookings everything we did wrong, they’d hack at Tolaj, dived for a penalty no yellow.

Luckily today we got that siege mentality and got the result so the incompetence didn’t cost us but it’s really poor at the minute.

Aside from the referee though the ten trojans who battled on deserve being spoken about and huge huge credit to perform so well you’d not have known for large parts we had a man down.

We looked a different animal to Christmas now key players are back, 3 wins and 2 draws in 5 and that’s with one game down a man for 40 minutes and one for over 80 minutes. We look back to our best to so hopefully can build on the run into next week.

If you’d told me at the start of the season Ronan Curtis and Ethan Chislett can’t even get a sniff in the XI and we’d be flying id have thought you were mad.

Wow, if you think that was one of your two worst refs of the season then you've had an amazing run. He literally gave us 2 or 3 free kicks second half (which were free kicks, yet your fans weirdly moaned about them). We're talking about refs who have a material affect on the game. It could have happened again today but Accrington were awful.

Vale fans - give your heads a wobble ffs you act like you’re the only team that ever get bad decisions.
Yeah that was a bad one today but that’s it nothing more.
There is no agenda, the refs in this league are just shit.

The goal at Bromley?
Sang's red at Bradford?
Harper's red against Crewe?
Today's shambles?

Yeah, definitely 'evens itself out'.

Cannot wait. If it’s anyone that we want to beat it’s them. I sincerely think I speak for most

Aww, bless. Mind the gap.

So literally that one decision ( which was borderline) is your evidence that in fact Vale have had a good run of it really? That could have cost us again today. How many times are we having game changing decisions for us? We've had 1 penalty this season when we were 3-1 down FFS. Last season we went absolutely ages without a pen...it was some sort of record. We have men sent off (last week rightly so), but when the same challenge happens to us last week, the player doesn't even get spoken to.

Yes, refs are crap and I can handle that but it's the constant major decisions against us and virtually zero the other way. If it evens itself out we should win every game from hereon in with a penalty and against 10 men.

At least you’re all being rational about it

I won’t point out your goal against us was offside in October

Mate we had 60 odd year old fellas who haven't moved in years trying to belt him with their walking sticks at full time & in the car park.

League Two refs are better than National League refs unsurprisingly.

League Two refs are pretty shit, like most League Two players.

Who's surprised? Nothings changed.

Vale 8 fouls today and 3 yellows and a red Accrington 22 fouls committed and just 2 bookings. Last week the amount of fouls between vale and chesterfield was the same yet chesterfield no bookings and vale 3 bookings and a red. The Bromley game was was a yard behind the line plus hand balled away yet no goal red card or penalty given. Then we hold the world record of going the most games without getting a penalty something like 70 games. Teh Accrington home game the other year the ball again had gone in but the ref didn't give it and decided give a red card and penalty and we missed the penalty. Last week's red card was a red but this he has clearly won the ball it's not even a foul yet sang will get a 4 match ban now for that as he was harshly sent off at Bradford where he got a 3 game ban then. We are now back to having no fucker available play at right wing back and it's down to wank refs. Vale won't get promoted and it won't be down to player or squad ability it will be down to wank refs giving us nothing. If we miss out on the top 3 or even the top 7 by 2 points that will be down to th Bromley game for starters. The refs are cheating both arsenal and port vale, simple as that don't care what anybody else says or replies to this with that is clear as day cheating both clubs.

Someone called into 606 last weekend complaining about the Premier League referees and saying that the refs from the EFL should be given a chance instead... he has no idea.

When Tom Sang quite rightly gets his red card rescinded this week, they should ban no. 45 Ashley Hunter for 6 games if they are interested in stopping cheating. A note to all refs, if the player rolls around 3 or 4 times and leaps like a salmon on his way to a spawning ground he isn`t hurt, he is trying to con you

You have actual faith the FA will actually rescind it?

He is pretty good, isn't he? The American author John Green stumped up for the transfer fee last January and was there watching today.
