Genuinely mate he was shit , not the worst but every 50/50 went against us, just one of those days though, we had more than enough chances & didn't take them, you did, end. The chesterfield ref was far far worse

I think the difference is that we're encountering a lot of game defining decisions against us. I can take the ref giving a few 50/50s against us, as he did against you in that game. But if you count that in your two worst refereeing performances of the season then you've had a very good season referees wise. It's week after week at the moment and is getting ridiculous.

Franchise , as expected were tidy resulting in one of our best performances, teams that open up & play are always welcome, why did notts get rid of Crowley, some player him, the result was about fair, MK good to watch but sooner they go bust the better.
I get the impression that you hate them more than we do. Good to see but why?

Mixed day for Crewe Alex up at Harrogate. Starting XI was baffling, the manager's insistence on cramming Zac Williams into the team every single week is costing them in terms of balance when he plays at LWB and they move Conway to RWB. Play ok first 30, Chris Long misses an easy 1-on-1, what else is new? Then concede a stupid goal from a corner and the fans start to turn, rightly or wrongly.

2nd half we looked a changed team, played with more tempo and energy and got the equaliser, good football, great cross from Holicek for his 5th assist of the season and a nice header from Long for the goal. We pushed for a winner and came close, Bogle missed a sitter and Lowery couldn't find a goal with another decent chance.

But then we ran out of legs, literally and metaphorically. Long pulls up with a worrying looking injury to the point where he could barely run, Tracey limped off and then Bogle clutches his hamstring. That on top of the long term injury to Lankester and Hemmings missing today after tweaking something on Tuesday and our fit and available attacking options could genuinely read: Adrien Thibaut. That's it.

The manager is now talking about potentially having to make a desperate late move in the window, but his options are limited, as he already has 5 loanees in the match day squad, so signing another would mean leaving one out and I don't see who that could be. Or somehow finding the money for a permanent, which given we're probably at our max budget, feels unlikely as well. Hard to say where our season goes from here.

Still a point though. Feels like this is your bad patch at the moment, not helped by injuries, but better to have it now than in March. I did anticipate you might run out of a bit of steam as it seems the first 11 is pretty strong but a bit weaker after that.

He wanted to go, was out of contract in the summer and wouldn't sign a new one so we took the money.
10 pts from 12 since he left and he didn't always play well.
He is eye catching but his career says he's a lower league journeyman who's best and only consistently good spell has been with us.

Shit refs everywhere , we've had two shockers at home this season Vs chesterfield (although the 2 sendings off were correct) & Port Vale

We absolutely hate having you.
Give me an example of a game changing decision v us. If you can show me 2 handballs and a ball a metre over the line, and a red card for your player getting a Vale players sock dirty, I'll agree with you.

These aren't just bad performances, they're huge "errors" that constantly go against us.

Vaguely remember the whole Wimbledon fc thing happening & thought it was wrong, been to the hockey stadium & the franchise bowl & every encounter I've had with their fanbase I've come away thinking they are massive bellends & I hate the fact they just popped up with a league place & a promise of a football frenzy that's never going to happen, the fact that this lot have a league place when the likes of Aldershot, York, Halifax, Hartlepool etc don't, winds the fuck out of me.

That’s just called being shitter than us. Not our fault they fell out of the league and unsure our one league place and the 92 can suddenly become 95, that’s a new one :dk:

Another win (4 in a row) still not playing that well, we keep being told wait until everything kicks into place, we’re 3/4 through the season nearly so not sure if that’s going to happen. Onto Chesterfield

I think you will find that has been well covered in recent weeks.

League Two refs are better than National League refs unsurprisingly.

League Two refs are pretty shit, like most League Two players.

Who's surprised? Nothings changed.
Haven’t seen any step up in quality or consistency between NL and Div 2 officials and decision making. Previously to this season I’ve watched 25 years of Non League and Premier League football and yes the howler’s do even themselves out over a season. Expect a minimum of 6 howler’s against us and 6 for us every season and nothing has changed this year.

It’s due to having humans officiating to the best of their ability other humans, who within their “game plans” include diving, feigning injury, berating anyone officiating, pushing rules to the limit and beyond and generally screaming, shouting and trying anything to get that all important result. It’s how our beautiful game has sadly evolved.

I know the #curse will take its toll on any football fan but any Gills fans want to pass comment on the game.

I am hopeful for their sake that now JJ is back playing albeit nowhere near 100% , and has faced against you lot again, there will be an upturn in form and Kent's finest will arrest the slide.

I said when we played Wimbledon early season, they looked promotion contenders and I will say that again. Their brute CB was outstanding yesterday and all of their defenders put their bodies in front of everything. We should have scored very early on but the miscommunique between Sarcs and Patto cost us dearly. Get a chance against these and you have to take it as you are not going to get many more. Dons fans, you were saying early season that you would be in different divisions next year. You got that right though you are not going to piss this league.

You never earned your place, that will always be the bit that rankles.
The authorities effectively broke the pyramid system for an entirely moderate club. They didn't need to and never should have.

How on earth do you end up in this position from lying on the floor. Sang must have transferred 2000 volts through his boot!

I think we will be thee of there abouts. I recon we might finish 4th though. Hopefully not but it's very tight up top.

The only way you'll get any respect from other fans is to start at the bottom of the pyramid and I see you're heading in the right direction:) ball game club for ball game fans

They've actually merged the officials list for FL1&2/NL so we get NL ref as were officiating fairly regularly in FL fixtures.

Gotcha. So there is crossover but there will still be a gap. Move up the leagues better managers, better players better officiating.

Rovers totally overwhelmed by a Colchester team who secured their first win on Wirral in 15 or so years. Weird starting line-up and strange substitutions from Adkins. Almost the only thing he got right was subbing the toxic Sam Finley who was jeered off the pitch and went straight down the tunnel mouthing off at the home support.

Chants of We Want Adkins out and On Our Way to the National League seemed to have no effect on the clueless Adkins with another rambling post-match interview. Both the Palioi were at the ground, Mark looked very ill apparently, group of fans challenged them after the game saying you're killing our club.

The referee, Scott Oldham, was ok.

Blimey. Sounds like the sort of atmospheres we had at times when we were scraping around the bottom of this league a few years ago. It's never good when players get booed and start mouthing off. Sounds like a very toxic atmosphere that will only end in disaster.
