I think the most annoying thing to come out of today's shite game of football was how good Fleck was when he came on. Stood out a mile. Really annoying that he's been injured all season, just fucking sums everything up this year. We just need it finished now

There is a feeling that things keep falling into place, but Sarcevic went off today and Pattison missing out completely is not good news.

Pattison ill so hopefully back Tuesday or latest next Saturday.

Sarcevic will be a huge miss if he is out with what looked like a hamstring injury

Now that, was FUCKING wank. Worst performance of the season, absolutely toothless. We’re done, planning starts for next season now, 17 OOC, gonna be fun.

A little payback for Chesterfield giving us a hiding at our place (I still have no idea how that happened that day).

They had the majority of the possession but looked completely one-dimensional. It was a very repetitive plan of action from Chesterfield and just hoping it worked - which it did, once - but other than that I didn't really feel any pressure from them at all. They can have all the ball they want, if they're doing nothing with it.

For us, I really can't think of anyone that didn't play well. Lowery in the middle looked comfortably a league above, and would probably be my man of the match, but you could really argue the point for a lot of our players today. Made the most of the time we had the ball, controlled Chesterfield when they had the ball, won headers and did a really professional job.

Back to back wins. If only we hadn't f*cked it all up during January and the start of February.

Cos we were fucking brilliant that day. In our team today, only 3 started that one away at your place back in August (1 being the goalkeeper!!). This team we have now ain’t the same, it’s a long way off that one in all honesty, as you saw today. As you say, ridiculously one dimensional.

I’m thinking that point we got at Swindon is looking increasingly better. They’ve had some run under Holloway and fair play I thought it was a joke of an appointment but turned out very wrong. Could be worse and could be better for us today. Need to be beating Harrogate midweek.

Lovely 3 points at the Bescott. This is a Low(e) by Blur ringing around the place given their season.

They were fantastic at the CG when we played them earlier this season, however we were abject. Ian Holloway has to take huge huge credit for where we are, phenomenal turn around.

One dimensional and lacking any real composure, which I put down to your managers temperament. How your players are supposed to keep a level head with him acting like that on the sidelines, I have no idea.

This is just us until we sack Maynard, stuck in footballing purgatory

Jatta missing chances obviously the biggest single contributor but I don’t know how he can just watch a team he manages put in the exact same performance every week and not once be able to positively impact a game once it’s started.

The fact you think that performance today was anything like recent ones says it all. I'm hoping it's too much sun or too much beer after that comment because it was chalk n cheese compared to the Tranmere and

Maynard selected a side and devised tactics which had us 1 up thanks to an individual error before Jatta misses a 1 on 1 when saved, then another when he goes round the keeper but doesn't shoot and sets up Tsaroulla, then he gets good contact from close range and their keeper pulls off a great stop. Its errors from Platt (X2) and Johnson that swing the game the other way in a mad 3 minutes. Both sides created chances but we created more without doubt. So cant throw the usual possession means nowt bullshit as we created loads for an away side but just didn't take them.

We then are 2-1 down he makes changes as he should and was going to at 1-1 and we get a deserved late equaliser.

And of course it's Maynard's fault again.

You are of course allowed and justified to be frustrated and jump on the internet but those comments are way off.

Same old story at Notts.

Sadly, our manager is a passenger and an uninspiring playoff semi final defeat is looming.

Very likely and won't be the first time. But today's 1 point and not 3 is clearly on the players not the head coach. I know that isn't fashionable after not winning but it's true. Individual mistakes from two of our best performers.

Can't deny Grimsby deserve to be level but that's an incredible miss by the ref - most blatant handball you'll ever see.
Could have been a penalty each, in addition to the one given.

Overall we had more shots, more efforts on target, more corners, and more clear opportunities etc.

Nevertheless a point is a point against a typical Michael Flynn team, very direct and physical.

Tranmere at home on Tuesday. The change of manager may have given them a boost. Tbh, they badly need it as they were awful when we played them at their place. After that a visit to Walsall next Saturday

Strange one today. On balance the draw is a fair result but it's hard not to be frustrated when their goal should not have counted. How the officials fail to see the handball is mind-boggling. Add in Archer scuffing his shot with an open goal, and it's disappointing we haven't come away with 3 points.
Strange game, we missed some sitters, you missed some sitters, one where there could be a case for both sets of fans to be frustrated with a draw.
Usually in these instances a neutral would say a draw is fair.

Really good away win. I was quite happy for Chesterfield to have a lot of the ball because they basically did nothing with it, I was nervous for a few minutes but Lowery's goal settled those nerves (and Bogle missed a great chance after that!). We defended excellently and we were really good going forward too.

Our problems today were defensive. As they have been a lot. You could have got 5 today if you'd put your foot down and tried for it. Looked like scoring whenever you went forward

Handball for our goal? Didn’t see that and there didn’t seem to be any of your players appealing either? Who was supposed to have handled it? Certainly not Rodgers, the scorer!

Be very bittersweet if we won the title. I'd be happy obviously, but imagine the hours I'd have to put in editing my 'Alexander out' posts. Blimey.
Alexander proving a lot of people wrong, myself included.

Yep. I'll hold my hands up if we get promoted. Very happy to be proven wrong. I've wanted two things from him: Play Pointon and play better football than when he arrived. The football has been much better since around Christmas.

I meant composure in terms of your mentality. Heads went down I thought, on the pitch and in the dugout.

You're right about your defence tho. Those 2 CHs have no pace, either.

That's been the mentality for a few weeks. We just need it finished now and have a clear out and reset. This season has been wank and everyone is fed up

Yeah useless from Maynard, should have replaced Bass with Mrs Slocombe and took off that big Gambian lump and put himself up top

You can either judge the game in isolation or you can judge a team incapable of showing ruthlessness and urgency and come to the conclusion that comes from the top. If Jatta is missing chances, bring him off. If you’re watching your team 1-0 and failing to stretch their lead and you see the opposition make 3 changes, don’t just assume you’ll keep dominating, there’s no way he attacks games unless we’re losing and that’s a problem.

Game management doesn’t just start and end with the manager but teams tend to take on his personality. Last year every post match interview was about how well we played but individual defensive mistakes cost us, this season it’s always about how well we played and missed chances - kind of just want a team that wins to be honest.

Yet again Fleetwood go toe to toe with one of the top sides in this division.A great advert for league 2 in a very entertaining game. A defensive mistake led to County's first goal. An even bigger howler saw a penalty to the Cods followed by a cracking goal from Graydon. A draw was a fair outcome, although County will be the more disappointed side.

It was whoever passed it to Rodgers - throw in was taken, he controlled it with his forearm and laid it off to the scorer. Clear as day when you see the highlights.

As I say though, can't really complain about the result on balance of play.

Absolute crap today from us. Shocking officials too.

How have we gone from the performance v Donny last home game to what we witnessed today?

Pretty much our season in a game, so hard to know what to make of us. In the end it’s an okay result, neither great or a disaster.

The lack of ruthlessness to just kill the game is what makes me think we’ve got no chance of doing this. We missed (well, Jatta) chance after chance to make it 2-0 and pretty much end it as a contest. Then we have a five minute brain explosion to go 2-1 down. Then we show the character and fight to regroup and force an equaliser at the end, which is what makes me think we’ve got a chance. Very hard to work out.

Glad you spotted that. They shouldn’t really have been playing in the NL league alone L2. We have 15+ OOC in the summer so hopefully see the back of the majority. Just not good enough to make the step up
