True.

What a lot forget is DC got lucky with the loan of Tyler Burey from Milwall
Who was and is a Gem.
Lge two defenders could not live with him, Hence he,s now in Milwalls Starting 11.
Most of Challinors loans were very good,I don’t think he was lucky with Burey,it was good judgement.
Even though he whinged constantly about the transfer window,he’ll sort Stockport out.
We had the best home form in the country while he was here & he was starting to get results away, when he decided to feck off.
The best manager we’ve had for years.

Would Hartlepool have been any better under Lee? Early days but he at least had you comfortable last season.

Nah Lee was dreadful, we just make horrific appointments and Hartley is heading that way too, first signs of dissention from the crowd yesterday on full time.

The way the team set up and his tactics etc no we wouldn’t be any better off at all, things under GL were horrific to watch back end of last season.

However, I do think we would have a better squad of players, the recruitment this summer looks horrendous so far. Overall in recent times we continuously disappoint with our appointments, which you can expect when you pay peanuts and they have to work for this owner, you can only attract a certain bargain bucket standard. Apart from with DC where we got very lucky at the right time.

We won one in the last 12 games last season, everything went to pot after we lost to Rotherham in that trophy thing. We had nothing to play for and Lee was unable to address the slide. Mind you, even before that the football under him was never good, you could see early on it wasn't going work.

That run, the fact we've not won yet, Singh's appointed at least two poor managers, gives little financial support to them, and word about us has gone round in the game is the reason we are where we are. It's not only budget, people don't want to come here under the present owner. Unless he gets rid of himself for a stupid price (he apparently priced himself out of the Hollywood takeover, some other talks held with our major sponsor who might step in), we are going nowhere except back to the Carlos Valderama League.

as you’ve proven with your 7 fans and a goat, attendances mean nothing, never have.
Why are you obsessed with them then you utter Cretin! Mansfield are an absolute nothing club, get off your high horse.

You are a bit weird aren't you, obsessed with us or what?

A seem to remember FGR fans are decent bunch on here and then there's you.

Nah, just find you two Mansfield fans weird, all you ever go on about is attendances, when Mansfield have never been particularly well supported at all.

I know FGR is tinpot and tiny as a club, but you two cretins have serious delusions of grandeur about Mansfield.

Fair doos Hartlepool fans, can't remember too much detail but just recall you slipping towards the bottom January/February time and then putting some results together which made you end up well clear of the shit.

Harratt looks too much of a talent to waste on the bench. Really hope he starts with Cook against Crewe.

Said it before stick him in a two up top and he will do a great job for you. Worst thing can do with that lad is try and shoehorn him into a 4-2-3-1 or something like that as he can’t play as a lone striker and he’s also wasted sticking him in one of those wide spots.

Sam Hoskins continues his ridiculous start to the season getting us out of jail right at the death. The first goal from Crewe was an absolute rocket, sensational strike. That being said, I cant see how it wasnt a foul. I try to think of myself as fairly unbiased but he just barges him in the back and makes no contact with the ball. That being said, its still an absolute rocket.

We huffed and puffed a lot second half without making many clear cut chances. We need to stop floating crosses in from deep or going back to front too quickly, for once it does not actually suit us as much.

Still, undefeated and still very much yet to gel. Happy days so far!

We had a good run through Feb then went to bits after and only won 1 from 11.

Should have said he was lucky because of Joe Parkinson, think it was his contacts.
No one not even DC could have seen the impact Tyler would have on our attack.

When you have someone like him in the starting 11 players want to play.

Spot on about better players, absolutely.
Honestly can’t see what Hartley can do with what he has to work with.
But like it or not they are his players.

This is about the time the bookies shorten the odds on the actual good teams, having given the big/hype teams short odds for the idiots piling into the ante-post market. Had Northampton as champs from the get-go and nothing has yet changed my mind.

You lot have had a good start, good value for your points so far?

Our next run of games looks really tricky

Donny (h)
Barrow (h) - who’d have thunk that would be one of our trickiest in the first 7
Walsall (a)
Wimbledon (a)
Dale (h)
Stockport (h)
Swindon (a)
Salford (h)
Orient (h)

Most of the front runners and a couple who were fancied before the season started. If we’re still up the top in October I think we’ll be pushing for autos.

Think Leonard is the key, need him on the ball

Deserved the wins over Grimsby, Crawley and Colchester without playing overly well. Very fortunate to beat Mansfield. Best performance against Swindon in the only game which has seen us drop points. Bodes well that we’re top without being particularly good. Should have a good tilt at the top 7 after a baffling season last time out.

Although we’ve generally been poor we’re now unbeaten in 4 and yesterday’s win over Dale showed some great attacking play. Not convinced by Lindsey but a few of the new signings - derided by our fans before a ball had been kicked - look well above average. Khan and, especially young Wakeling, are exciting.

Darcy made his first start yesterday in a strange RB role but looks hugely talented on the ball with a fierce shot on him.

The defence still gives me the heeby jeebies every game and unless that gets sorted I think we’ll do well to make the POs.

I’d be interested to know if any Wimbledon fans have seen a victory as easy that. I’d like to say we were dreadful but that would indicate we had a team on the pitch. To turn up against AFC and produce whatever that was is inexcusable. Big big problems.
We barely got out of second gear. Second half was like a training game. I've seen alot of your fans saying we were not that good but we didn't need to be. We imo will finish somewhere in top 9.
