A nice and solid 1-0 win by the sounds of it, to cap off an unsettling week. Downside is that Hackett went off injured, so that's another attacking player down!

I don't think Nsiala has ever had a good game against us, he always seems to either get sent off or have an absolute mare.

EDIT - We've also brought Chris Cohen in as a short term measure to help Tom Shaw out. He had a decent left peg about him!

I forgot how cold Fleetwood is - jesus christ! It wasn't pretty today, but we scored early and did have other chances as game wore on. We were comfortable 1st half and played some tidy football. 2nd half we invited the Fleetwood pressure but defended well, and looked to punish on the counter, with Nsiala being sent off. Great effort, nice to see an away win

Yeah I wont be as down as I would be about going out of the football league, but it doesn’t mean I’m going to be jumping for joy at returning to League 2. I still want to stay up but sadly that’s looking an almost impossible task with this ineffective team of ours.

All we can do is keep trying to scrape enough points to stay up and obviously hope the takeover of the club happens and that it allows us to sign better players in January, at least there is some hope for the future now unlike before.

We are the new Cheltenham! Can't score, don't even look like scoring. Dominated the stats apart from the one where we scored more goals than Wigan.
Derby midweek will be filling their boots!

No way will you go down playing like that. We missed some chances in the first half, but you finished strongly and almost won it near the end.

It's weird how we keep finding crucial late goals, but the team just believe that it's going to come.
If it was a one off then I’d take your view, but this is happening regularly. Play reasonably well for a half or even a full game, fail to score and end up getting beat.

It’s exactly why we’ll go down.

Do you want to stop being so negative?

We're not even in the relegation zone and they were the league leaders who beat us ffs.

Poor game, poor conditions, poor spectacle. Stonewall penalty for us in the first half but the ref seemingly didn't want to give us anything. Chislett got hacked down a number of times and no cards given, we make a foul and the ref can't wait to get his cards out. Amazed no-one was sent off.

Thought we were the better footballing team but you know what you're going to get from an Evans team....they were physical, broke up play to stop any momentum and played percentage football really. Amazed that they've got more points than us playing in that style but there you go. Horrible to play against.

We look desperately short of goals but at least we didn't give away our customary soft goal this week. Uche made a bit of a difference but doesn't look fit. Hopefully with some actual strikers it will start to click and we go on a bit of a run.

As a caveat, we've played 5 games at home and 8 away from home so far, so we might be a little bit higher in the table once that has balanced itself out. 8 tough away games too.

I’m not being negative.

We’re only out of the relegation zone due to points deductions and having played more games.

On points per game we’re relegation standard.

Like you I have hope that with a takeover we can strengthen in January, and we do have a good manager. My only concern is we’re so useless in front of goal we may end up being too far adrift come jan for it to make a difference.

Massive win today. Thought it wasn't going to be our day as Bishop on another day gets a first half hattrick. Carlise had some glorious chances 2nd half and a match winning save by Norris in 90th min was huge. Sparkes what an fantastic signing he's been. Not clue how Exeter couldn't get a tune out of him. Best attacking full back in the league. Another special set piece from him and shaggnasty amazing header. Results elsewhere went our way aswell.

Surely Barton under pressure? We played Burton a few weeks ago and I'm still struggling to understand how we contrived to lose that game. A 4-1 defeat is poor whichever way you look at it, as they have a very strong squad.

Looks like you and Oxford are running away with it. Didn't think you were amazing the other week but still had enough to pick up the points. Seems like that's been the case on a few occasions, which bodes well.

Oh no you’re not. We are far more Cheltenham than you, we proved that conclusively today.

Because we are not the same team that played you a few weeks ago. We have improved. Tightened up our defence. And then, we played shit and still beat you, so you have to say that was job done.
Rovers didn’t look bad today but defended poorly.

I suspect Liam Manning will be very unhappy with that second half performance. It was unacceptable. That game should have been managed far, far better. It reminded me of Port Vale at home. A silly kamikaze performance second half that just didn’t need to be played out the way it did.

It should have been comfortable. A switch to five at the back when the game didn’t need it didn’t help but most importantly and for the first time this season the substitutes escalated the turning point. The least you expect when up against it is to press and cover ground. They failed and it cost us the game.
Cameron Brannagan was a big miss. McEachran just can’t do what he does and we lacked his energy today.

Credit to Blackpool for plugging away though. They really offered nothing until the 70th minute (I think their first shot was near 60th minute). I hadn’t realised Karamoko Dembele played for them! He looked excellent when he came on.

Definitely missed Cam Bran. McEachran ran out of legs but was good in the 1st half.

Overall a fair result I reckon. Our goal was sublime though.

From the East Stand it looked a cracking miss by the Blackpool forward who put it over the bar when basically an open goal.

Got the ball ref! Jesus imagine Evan’s tonight had that been the other way round!

You've got to love Steve Evans. He said post match that they dominated 80 minutes of the match (wrong), we should have been down to 9 men (wrong) , and they missed two one on one's (wrong). He also failed to mention that we had an absolute stonewall penalty not given. Apart from that his match review was accurate!

Good game between ourselves and Barnsley, the fact that we've gone away disappointed not to have won the game after limiting Barnsley to one shot on target I think all game says how far we've come.

After being denied a few penalties this season the ref today has handed us one on a plate, never a handball for me, we got a bit of luck in terms of that today.

Barnsley were good, certainly a cut above anything thats played us this season, move the ball around well which tired us out a bit I thought, but we limited them to one chance and it took an excellent 25 yard finish from Herbie Kane to dig Barnsley out.

For ourselves there is a reason we've scored only 12 goals - again not ruthless enough in the final third. At this rate Archibald and Sotirou as good as they've been for us, ones gonna have to be moved on because their decision making has to improve, a second goal much like last week was there for us today with more compsure.

Would expect Barnsley in the top 6 for sure.

I'm far from an Evans apologist, but I don't think I've ever heard a manager of any club go, "I really think the other team should have had a penalty in that game"

To be fair v port vale we had alot of players out so wasn't at full strength. Today we were missing our captain Marlon Pack and Gavin Whyte. We just seem to be able to get those wins. Just need to try and keep it up. Would be nice to smash someone at some point tho!

Fair point but I just love how he watches a completely different game to everyone else!

Can we stop calling everyone that - this is a good night for us and we don't need you rubbish teams who can't score bringing us down
Congrats on the win, sounded well deserved and we were absolutely awful.

Not sure what happens now but I’m fed up of us being this shit again after last season’s farce.

Looks like we're falling away badly after a similarly good start. Frustratingly, we've got a much better team this season and get compliments most weeks but we just can't seem to hold a good run of form together.

Cambridge were very poor it has to be said, especially the right back (Bennett?). He was made to look shite by Will Ferry in the first half.

When they did get forward, there seemed to be no idea other than lump the ball in the box and hope for the best. Very much like us in the first 10 games of the season. They played like a team with no confidence whatsoever. The keeper looked very shaky as well.

The difference is we started the season well and looked half decent for a while. Then for some reason we have just imploded at exactly the same time as last year, with it has to be said, an improved team. Well done on your win, it was well deserved and should have been more conclusive. So bear with us, we are a pretty pissed off bunch tonight! It would be totally us to go and beat Pompey on Tuesday night, but it just won’t happen.
