Strange that the Shrewsbury v Birmingham game isn't being shown as being on Sky. Anyone know why it's been moved?

This was a police advise job. Its only 40 minutes on the train and police would expect a big crowd. Using the tinpot trophy as an example, B'ham took over 3k for that same fixture. I'd imagine police would expect similar numbers and have away fans in the home ends.

40 minutes on the train followed by an hour walk

We’re had volunteers on the pitch all day shovelling off the snow that came down midweek, covers stopping on until mid morning to keep the rain up.

Groundsman pretty confident it’ll be on, won’t be warm mind!

Stockport County.
Its's actually very mild tomorrow. It will be the incessant rain that fucks any fixtures up.

Hate the weather in this country just grim, grim, grim.

Burton away, don't know loads about them but know it will be a hard game, most are at this level, particularly away from home.

Ben Whitfield tends to have a good game against us both before and after his spell with us. I don't know if managers pick their team with that in mind in the modern day world of stats and data but the Burton interim manager should consider it.

Everyone hates our ground. Everyone that didn't smell the old one that is.

I didn't mind my day there, there's a decent away pub 10 mins walk away.

Do agree with the Colchester shout, awful.

As has already been said, police advice as to why it was moved. Same with Wrexham in January until Sky switched it to a Thursday night.

Will be a big ask for Ainsworth's first game tomorrow. Still likely to lose but hopefully see some fight in the team unlike the last few games and at least make it difficult for Birmingham.

On what seems to be the got debate about the walk to our ground from the train station, I'd probably say half an hour for a comfortable walk. I'm a fast walker and can get to the ground from the other side of town in just over 45 minutes, but take a few short cuts.

It's a shame that we had to move, can't believe it was over 17 years ago now, but there was no viable option. As has already been said, the single access into the ground had already limited the capacity, and with health and safety laws evolving that was set to reduce further. Added to that the flooding which made the pitch a mud bath from November. The sale proceeds for the town centre land enabled us to build the new ground with the help of the stadium grants available at the time, and keep money in the bank that pushed us from average league 2 to being in league 1 for 12 of the last 13 seasons. That was until Cotterill and Caldwell allowed for massive overspending in 2022/23. Mistakes were made with the design of the ground, but being the first ground in England with the modern safe standing was something to be proud of, which always gets overlooked by the national media when talking about safe standing.

The Steves away for us tomorrow, prior to the break we'd scored 8 goals in 3 games and managed to win all 3, despite one being on pens.

We usually sell out our allocation there, but with it being 12.30 and on tv, fans can actually pay on the day there tomorrow.

Sonny Perkins has 3 in 3 after being terrible for the first 3 months of the season, can his hot streak continue?

3 weeks now coming up of Saturday/Tuesday games for us in the league and cups for us starting tomorrow.

We was also dealt a blow in the week with the news that Theo Archibald is now out for the rest of this season as he requires another operation on his injured knee, he first one didn't cure the problem sadly.

Absolutely foul weather here. Blowing a gale, wind chill of what feels like -10c and pissing it down.

Would say it's looking very positive so far for our match. Rain isn't anywhere near as bad as it'd given. Still time though.

The pitch should be fine, only issue is the referee is the same one who postponed a game against FGR, 99% of other referees it been played.

The weather is shite but our groundsmen said the drainage is in good shape, and covers were taken off this morning.

Game On!
You may as well rotate with a large number of games coming up . Hopefully Mr Clough plays all our ex players

Could go either way easily today with these conditions.

Good, we could probably do with evening it up a bit. We only play well for 30-40 mins on a good day and the good days dont come along often.

The sacred principles of Gazball are still intact, good to see WW old boy Pierre also on the scoresheet.

Strange team selection for us. Guessing it's either 541 Diamond or a 5 2 2 1 box midfield.
We've been calling for Parky to change it up sometimes so can't complain. Unsure about changing 2/3 of the center backs.
Palmer uptop in his own is a concern

Gareth Ainsworth's Barmy Army! As i said before, not there but I'm guessing the 11 minutes of added time is a sign of things to come
