Yep, we are toothless. Surprised we conceded three from headers though, we've been quite good up to now.
Think we missed Woods today but no excuse and we'll beaten. For once I'm glad I couldn't get a ticket, some of the lads who went on the train got there late as they had to get a replacement from Gobowen and I've also heard the train back was cancelled..
That's a nightmare with a long journey ahead. Hope they all manage to get back safely.

Crawley v Rotherham. Whisper it. The best team won today!

They have some decent players (I'd love to have their corner taker) but as a team they were second best. Give us some credit. We are down to bare bones. We had two keepers on the bench, only one of the defenders would start in our best 11 add illness and knocks all over the place but they stuck at it, and truthfully were the better team and coulda/shoulda won by more.

Charlie Barker was my man of the match. On the left of a back 3 is not a natural position for a right footer but he was great all game. Not bad for someone who was a semi pro in the summer.

Rotherham are not a usual Steve Evans side and he is probably on borrowed time now.

Out of the bottom 4. It's the hope that gets you.

A dreadful game that should’ve finished 0-0 was won by an actual piece of quality. Whereas saying the best team lost would be a stretch it would equally be a stretch to say BR deserved to win which they didn’t.

One of those, we’ve won games (and will do again) when we’re the 2nd best team and today it just didn’t sit and wouldn’t fall.

We’d still be playing now and not score with that finishing.

A positive result in the back of some dodgy results for BR which will be a shot in the arm for sure:

Callum Burton being a bit of a d*ck on twitter. I'm sure the Big Bank will remind him in the return fixture

If they didn't want his development to go how it is, they'd never have loaned him to you again but sent him to the Championship. You've got him until summer, enjoy it!

As for us, probably could have got three points but there's only so excited you can get about being the bald amongst baldies who has the comb!

Shayne Lavery looks like an Irish Shaquiri and I can't unsee it.
A Championship club wouldn’t have offered him regular starts in the summer - they will now.

Good chance Villa will recall him and see him to the Championship.

Rotherham though - wtf? Evans can't hold on much longer if they keep that up, especially if a new manager could get the January window to bring in reinforcements.
I read some quotes the other day and he’s ready to but his way out of trouble in January .

Still don't see it, think he'll be with you until summer. Much easier position from the outside though!

Yeah. I usually drop my wife off near the ground, rang me father who was due in Wrexham for 2pm but told me he got stuck in Gobowen due to flooding on the line. They did say it was quite deep round the station so fairs fair. Can't blame a rail company if flooded. I did hear there was bus replacements for the way back to Shrewsbury, and a couple of ECFC were on it too.

I’m excited at the idea of the midtable cup….

Having either been involved in dodgy relegation or going form promotion from league 2 for as long as i can remember it would be a rather wonderful achievement to win.

A frustrating game that, one we didn't deserve to lose. Great pressure to the end.

I thought Wycombe started the stronger, but from minute 5 - 35 we were in control, with chances to go 2-0 up, a great assist from House and goal from Darikwa.
We managed Wycombes clear threat welll. A mad 5 minutes before the break saw Wycombe come from behind. Impressed with their number 3.

It was all us for first 20 minutes of 2nd half, we had to equalise In that period and should have done. Duffy hitting thecrossbars, other chances come and go.

Wycome seemed to get a bit more of a foot on the game just before their pen. We didn't recover from the missed pen well with Wycombe extending their lead.

A load of subs were made which opened us up at the back, but allowed us to get back into it. We did look very suspect to concede on the break at this point.

I thought Wycombe were good, streetwise, but had 3 stocky pacey forwards who caused issues. Expected a few more in the away end considering league position.

Don't normally moan about refs but this one had zero control. Time wasting very prevalent and we just allowed it, baffling display.
Pretty much how I saw it.

On one hand I thought we deserved a point but Wycombe edged it with a couple of better chances than we mustered. Their strikers were better on the day and caused us more issues than ours did them. They're a decent side.

Was very surprised Skubala threw Duffy in there given his performances this season and off the back of being out injured for two months or so.

We're a couple of players short of being within a solid shout for the PO's come the end of the season in my opinion - a striker, which everyone wants, but if we had Taylor in this squad we'd have a few more points on the board and the problem position of LWB. I reckon we've had 5 or 6 there this season and whilst Jefferies has done ok, and to a point Hackett, I'd like us to find Darikwa type for that side. It's felt like we're 'making do' with that position for about three seasons now.

Two points off the playoffs with two games in hand.

You’re entry into the midtable cup is denied.

It's all about staying calm and humble for us. We've seen other sides go on a decent run, get giddy and end up not winning a league game for months.

Burton were terrible in every facet of Football. If they don't go down, I'll show my arse.

Louie Barry by far the best player in the division. Don't think there's many that touch Lewis Bate either.

I doubt he'd be playing, as Okonkwo is our number 1.
If CB carries on playing as he has in the two games since Okonkwo got injured, Arthur might have a longer wait than predicted...

100%. Thought you had him for the season (on loan) but it might well be a bid coming in from higher-up. He'll be a BIG loss if that happens. Great player, fair do's

If Will Evans didn’t play like he was desperate beyond belief to score he probably puts one or two away, but just one of those games.

By far. I was surprised Villa sent him back to you this season but they clearly like how Stockport treat him. The form he's in I wouldn't be surprised if Villa recall him either to send him back out on loan to the Championship , or maybe cash in given the rumours about clubs circulating- or of course involving him with their first team ready for next season.

Cue Birmingham making a 25m bid. Although maybe not given his parent club!

If someone puts the money that Villa want down in January, then unfortunatley he is gone. I don't know what that valuation is, I presume it may have gone up.

I think there's an element of risk for them to take him away from here just to loan him out to the Championship. If he didn't hit the ground running, which is possible mid season, then his valuation would go down as other Championship clubs would think "hang on is he actually worth the money, can he do it at this level or not" Where staying here, is value is increasing week on week.

I think a Championship club may put the money down to be honest. They should really.

Yeah he's such an obvious buy for someone. You never know though, just enjoy him while he's still at County and everything else will just sort itself out I guess!
