Gillingham only have themselves to blame. They’ve had so many chances after we’ve given the ball away. We have been so bad for large spells of this game

Lincoln the better team all afternoon. More than deserved their point. You can’t play Marvin Johnson as a centre half and expect to win a game. Fucking baffling selection again.

Oh Bersant. That felt good.

Should have killed the game off, early-mid second half, we didn't and it looked like we were on our way to a 1-1 draw against Fleetwood with their only chance of the game. Fortunately they chose to try defence V attack for the last 8 minutes + 5 injury time and we picked them off.

That's 4 wins out of 5 and 1 defeat in 9. We're coming for yas.

That's one of the weirdest games I've ever seen. Even at 3 down it never felt like we were out of it and it was a really good effort second half. Just a shame the damage was already done.

Plymouth away for us next week looks a big game, even this early.

Was'nt at the game, we managed to get back into it courtesy of our best player Callum Morton and when your near the bottom every point every point counts. To concede in the 3rd minute of extra time is a real kick in the goolies, so now we are in the botttom 4. Next 2 home games Wycombe and Wigan and I'd happily settle for 3 points from somewhere.TractorBoys, what was your take on the match ?

Absolute limbs. A deserved win that should have been more convincing! Can see why Fleetwood get so many draws. We’re definitely on a roll now, look so much better as a team. Hooogee couple of away trips coming up. Buzzing for Plymouth

I thought your front 3 or 4 attacking players played some excellent stuff at times, in the final third too, but never quite got that final ball or shot away. I'd have been pretty pissed off if it had ended 1-1 as I think we did more than enough to win the game.

who needs strikers? 2 goals from a CB, and the very definition of a last minute sickener (from a Crewe perspective) coming from us on 97 minutes.

We're 3-0 down yet arguably should be winning with the chances we've had. Missed about 4 sitters and a penalty. Shocking defensively though.
Behave you could have been 5 down if it wasn’t for your keeper before the penalty

Our first of three owners made it over to the game today for the first time since COVID restrictions were relaxed in UK and US travel. He and Mark Ashton certainly loved the winner. Peter Reid? Not convinced lol.

Oh I agree from about the 10th to 60th minutes we were shite and deserved what we got. What I meant was looking back at the game as a whole and the chances we missed we could easily have still got something despite that 50 minutes of garbage.

Yep agree, should have been out of sight before bolton got their 1st, would have taken a point before the game game but its so frustrating blowing a 2 goal lead, Evans should take the blame for today, every single gills fan could see we needed fresh legs but he didn't change until Bolton scored

Conceding the winner in the 97th minute was a sickener. Much improved performance us, deserved a point, but got none, and its points that we need at the moment. The main positive was when Lowery came on the midfield 3 of Lowery, Gomez and Robertson looked the best combination so far.

Home games vs MK and Doncaster are looking like must wins up next.

Another frustrating game against one of the teams we're competing against this year, we just can't seem to get it together against the "smaller" teams, as if we've devised one plan like we're playing Sunderland or Sheffield Wednesday every week, and it just isn't working home or away against half the division.

Shrewsbury should have been out of sight at half time, screamer to level it but the red changed the game, I seem to be one of the few Cambridge fans that thought it was right. We collapsed after that, but Shrewsbury did everything we didn't going forward and fully deserved the win.

We need to do something different, we keep doing what we are and we'll be in real trouble real quick. Need to work on a few different systems so we can mix it up, but back-to-back midweek games won't help that. Loss at Donny Tuesday will set off a few alarm bells I think.

Sounds like a point was the least we deserved today but January can't come quick enough.

Sounded like a comfortable 3-1 win for us at Burton but we struggle to keep a clean sheet so have to have a nervous spell.

Looks like Stuart Hayton to the left of Reid? Wiganer through and through but left before Cook joined otherwise would have thought he could have gone through that reason.

Honestly thought you would equalise and even win the game towards the end, totally different team when May came on, I can’t forgive Moore for releasing both him and Blair.

It was comfortable for the most part.

Great start, going ahead in the first minute, then came under pressure for about 15 minutes, but got on top, scored a second, and should have had two more before half time. Stayed comfortably in control until a poor clearance enabled Burton to score with ten minutes to go, but we stuck to our pressing and passing game and got a deserved third to see the game out without incident.

Burton are decent, but this was a very good performance from us. It looks as if we're just starting to find our mojo at the right time.

I wasn’t there so only listened to the radio - I can only go on MJ’s words.

It sounded like we were awful first half and only started playing after about 35-40 mins, this is becoming all too regular. Somehow Bonner has got to get us starting games more quickly.

I can’t make my mind up on the red card. On the highlights it looks like he wins the ball but I can’t tell whether his non tackling foot leaves the ground or not (which would determine whether it’s a lunge or not). It certainly isn’t two footed. But maybe the angle is making it look less like a lunge than it actually is. I hope we appeal it based on the fottage as it looks like we could win the appeal and because we are ridiculously short on midfielders for Doncaster on Tuesday.

Anyway the red changed the game as we sounded like we were more than holding our own between Iredale’s screamer and the sending off. Sounded like we folded like a pack of cards afterwards.

Both have been really good for us, Blair is Mr Consistent on the right and May always chips in with a goal or two right when we need it.

Have to say you looked a lot better than 24th, we've played a fair few worse teams than you so far.

It looks better on the footage because his back hides his legs, I still don't think it looks great, but it was worse in real time when you could see it, video doesn't change my mind tbh.

A 2-2 draw away is a great result for us on paper, but 2-0 up and with multiple missed chances before Bolton scored their first it feels like a defeat. As said above we needed to make some changes earlier but I find it hard to criticise the management (as things stand).

We were shocking today apart from the opening 5/10 mins and the last 20 minutes or so. We have zero confidence and when you try to play the way Evatt wants to you need confidence on the ball. You could see how many times we gave the ball away in stupid areas. You should have been 3/4 up by 60th minute. Having said that…. A comeback like that should help the morale in the dressing room.

We need to go back to basics defensively to start keeping clean sheets.

Late equaliser for a 2-2 at Accrington, after leading 1-0 at half time. Didn't see it but sounds like an improved performance and unlucky not to win. Marquis back to his old tricks, missing two sitters.

Finally had an extra, fit defender in Connor Ogilvie which allowed us to play him as a centre-half and switch back to the Cowleys preferred back four. It's not his best position but he's capable enough there.

The target is to accumulate enough points to keep us out of the relegation zone until the January transfer window.

I see Evatt is calling us "bullies" even though we only committed one more foul than his team.

He also claims that the two late goals were down to his tactics as they will always cause the opposition to become exhausted.

May be true against us as we are bang average but didn't seem to work against Wigan, though, did it?
