I’m hoping we go down fighting so hopefully Morais and Payne up front together with Hurst pre game pulling each one to one side and saying to them ‘he’s been calling you a wanker mate’.

Does make me smile at this time of the year when players are 'ruled out for the season', when there's only two weeks to go.

Could be another 6 or 7 games left for us to play tbf.

Southend have actually kept 15 clean sheets this season - They've just only scored 24 goals.

Will be a tight game, either 0-0 or 1-0 either way. Both sides have to win so it may open up at the end if things are level.

My programme for the game arrived today and I see Southend have been doing a feature in it all season about their 100 or so years in the League...............The timing couldn't be worse.

There is also a picture of Phil Brown in a pink shirt, what more could you want?

I did note Southend have something like 7 0-0’s in 14 games. Crazy.

Weird one Southend as we took them apart both times, 5 at home, 2 away but their keeper had a worldie and looked unable to defend anything but seem solid in most games!

If your scoring one goal every 2 games though it’s hard to make a case for them deserving to stay up. Feel for them as another good club ruined by poor ownership. Same for Grimsby.

You'll win. We won't score. Not scored at home since January

We can still catch Walsall, The sCUNTS, Colchester, Barrow and Southend. However that is not likely, but a 12 point haul, starting today at Oldham would be nice (with a few goals for us too).

Win today and your game in hand and you could be just 3 points behind with 2 left

Tbf for Grimsby going down isn't as bad, they still know the place pretty well. It's like going back inside after being out for a couple of years, you still know your way around, know who you can push about, know who can get you contraband, have a few mates still there serving longer terms etc. Southend are the first time offenders, scared shitless, likely to become someones bitch and get bullied and beaten up constantly.

Fucking it off today lads. Fuck sitting about inside watching us either go down or prolonging it by another week when it's a gorgeous day outside. I'll be back supporting Town next season hopefully in person.

Will be nice if our players put in a slight bit of effort today, doubt that though.

Four changes... Swann and Theo up top is fair enough. Gibbons in us an upgrade but Danny Shitehead. Christ.

Four changes. Not sure where our width is coming from. No Williams or Willmott.
Have a bad feeling we are playing for a 0-0

Not really sure as to the purpose of picking Whitehead. Not as though he is going to show himself to be anything other than what have seen already. Would much rather see Jake Taylor get some time on the pitch.

With that said it's a dead rubber so not really that important.

Declan John hasn't made it. I thought midweek Jackson would start as he looked decent in the couple of games earlier in season. Sarcevic on the bench. No idea what is going to happen. Win and we are probably up. Would take a draw. Good luck Morecambe fans (but not too much luck) and may the best team win. Beat us and it's back in your hands. What a finish to the season.

Crawley v FGR.

Shame they are still in the hunt because I'd be quite happy to give some of the kids a run out today otherwise. Khaleel, Hussein, Burnett etc etc could do with some first team action especially as Nichols will probably be starting his 3 game ban for the red card v Newport.

I'm hoping we put on a good show in our last three games, starting today, but we do have a habit of not turning up lately.

Only taken for us to be out the playoff race to finally start a more attack minded side. Bonus that there's no Evans or Clarke either.

I just hope we manage a shot on target today.

Good news, Zanzala is back.

It's a bit late in the season now and with the playoffs looking out of reach Kayode's mind will be on Rotherham. I've been keen to see him and Zanzala play together but think maybe we should focus on Zanzala and Patrick forming a partnership, along with Alessandra too seeing as how he's signed up for next year.

Bennett back on the bench while Anderton continues at centre back for the injured McDonald. Furman doesn't make the bench which probably shows he isn't part of our plans for next season and perhaps suggests that Anderton is still part of our plans, as while Armer has been good at left back , beech has always been keen to give Anderton game time.

Aye, same to you. What an absolute shame we can't all pack the ground today. O'Sullivan a big miss for us - he's been my player of the season. Hope Brad Lyons can step up. Excited, nervous and a little bit dizzy.
Let's hope it's a good one.

Couple of changes for us, Jayden Richardson and Odin Bailey come in for Kane Wilson and Nicky Cadden.

Looks like a 4-1-2-2-1./4-3-3, with Moore-Taylor playing as the 6, and some sort of combination of Adams, Bailey, Richardson and Wagstaff playing as 8's/10's behind Collins as the lone striker, although there has been some rotation through the middle with Adams and Wagstaff occasionally swapping with Collins on Tuesday. Complicated set up with only one natural CM and no out and out no.9.

We’ve gone for the same side as Tuesday but Hoolahan in for Tracey. I’m feeling a form of nervous excitement. I trust the players but can’t help but be wound up for this I guess.

Fuck sake. We're not in this match at all. Harrogate have played four or five balls over everyone's head and every single time our defence step off and let them into a one on one situation.
