Mark Hughes, Jack Baldwin and Pablo Martinez played in those games. Totally different defence now
LOL! As if they can stop players like Jevani, Nombe & MJ with players like Key and Caprice running down the wings.... Fair play, I did spit me cold coffee on my office computer.

We're missing Foulds, Ridehailgh, Threlkeld, Angol, Eisa, Vernam, Walker and Elliott. It'll be a cake walk for Mansfield. Normally I'd fancy Cook to score against a former club, but unfortunately he's let himself go a bit during Xmas. Looks incredibly slow and unfit.

Not missing much with Angol being out let’s be honest.

We've lost 5 games this season. Only bettered by FGR. The next team have lost 8. That's quite a difference. That's throughout the entire season. We've been incredible this season apart from when we had a Covid riddled team and long term injuries to some of our key players, all back now. I'm not worried about finishing anywhere, but IMO our worst case scenario is second. We're looking to catch FGR and nothing else atm.
Do you never learn?

Simply not true, we've played Bradford 5 times. I've seen televised games...Yours in fact... I've got ifollow so when we don't play, which has been quite often, I've seen other teams play.

Yeah, just like you did when we smashed you at your place, you'll be lucky to survive a 4 goal hiding this time around at fortress sjp
I wouldn’t mention our name when talking about best players in the league, all ours are cloggers.

Dieng was okay without being spectacular for us, but it was top 6 league 1 we were playing at.

He did look a class above our crap the other week to be fair. He was never a goal scorer for us in an attacking team so fair play for getting so many out of him this season.

No no no, that can’t be right.

Where are Exeter?

Didn’t you know they have Jevani, Nombe & MJ with players like Key and Caprice running down the wings - how can they not be in the top 5?

Can’t even begin to imagine how bad the game is going to be on Saturday. 23rd vs. 24th in the form guide. 10 goals scored in our last 22 games combined - and Carlisle have 8 of them. And one of ours was an own goal. 0-1. Someone tapping in unmarked from a set piece. Aaron Drinan hits the corner flag from 14 consecutive one on ones.

Fresh start for our players, but same for Orient and quite simply they are the less shit of the 2 so would expect them to edge it.

I hope Simpson quickly realises what not to do and doesn’t go taking advice from Gav Skelton.

Leyton Orient 1-0 Carlisle

More effort and desire but still the same desperately low quality.

only difference i can see between the 2 sides is that you've got a new manager in already... i don't want to get your hopes up too much - but you might win this one....

Won’t have any criticism of Exeter. They kicked Grimsby out of (League) Football.

It will be interesting to see if our players work harder on Saturday and if we do fall behind, will they give up as easy as they have done in recent weeks?

I'd play our most experienced squad and we may as well have a go. Our poor goal record speaks for itself, under Jackett we was mainly difficult to get at but needed to be clinical in front of goal, something we've not been for months. I wouldn't be suprised if we let in more, but score more.

Our teams confidence is rock bottom, we will either win and get going again or lose and continue our downward spiral. Who knows.

I wasn’t going to attend on Saturday, but given today’s appointment, it would be rude not to. No idea what to expect. Half our squad is out injured (but we’ve had to put up with that all season), and Mansfield will fancy it - after all, it is their big day out.

Cannot predict the starting XI, as even when we’ve been in OK form, we never seem to have a settled/same starting XI.

I just hope they give it a good go. The crowd will be boisterous to start with and it’s down to the players to ensure it stays that way. Once too often we’ve come out of the blocks with purpose only to fade away after the 10th minute.

First time this season the opposition are actually bringing some decent numbers, so here’s hoping the City contingent come out in force, too. Talks of 20k is optimistic, but realistically, there should be circa 18,000 there.

Oldham, Rochdale, Hartlepool and Harrogate brought good followings.

They're shite, we've utterly demolished them twice this season, I expect we'll be 3 or 4 up by half time and then put 16 year olds on like we did the last time we played and humiliated them...

Oldham 1,100 - could’ve had more, but wouldn’t commit to pre-paid tickets.

Rochdale 700 - they usually bring more

Hartlepool 800 - great for a Tues night, but I’m referring to big numbers. Best fans at VP this season.

Harrogate 750 - fantastic following for them, but once again I’m referring to big numbers.

Seeing our away end 29% full on average for these fixtures doesn’t quite do it for me, but Mansfield bringing 2,100, does.

Whereas the massive bradford brought how many down to SJP in their last 2 games here? Did you even hit 100?

Salford tomorrow, it will be good to do the double over them. Jack Payne is fit again and imagine will be on the bench. Hopefully we can kick on after our performance midweek.

Bradford will be a different team to recent games with the new manager that’s for sure. Not sure how strong/weak our squad will be for the game yet so I’m holding back.

Was Garner suggesting in his presser that Salford have gone to a direct style? Not that I knew what their style was anyway.

I think we should play our u18s tomorrow, might make it a bit less humiliating for Rovers and keep the scoreline into single digits

He did suggest they had changed their 'style' but not sure what was detailed. I think they are quite a dour team and probably rely on Matt Smith as their main focus.
