Good for you. I stand by what I said, the guy is a liability and has the turning circle of the Titanic. If you think that's good then all the best.
You can never take the opinion too seriously of opposition fans because they only see the player a few times a season. No way I can say half your players are shit because I don’t see them every week. You should see the Charlton forum after todays game … absolutely raving about him… one even said he shouldn’t be that quick for a big man and he is the best centre back they’ve seen at the Valley this season. That’s what we see most weeks. He just can’t seem to play well against you haha.

He has been in the league team of the year each of the last 2 seasons voted by his fellow pros though which says enough for me

I’ve seen Santos play twice in the flesh against us. Once I thought he was the best CB in the league, and in the other he was even not the best CB in Bolton, let alone the whole league. I think the difference between league one and premier league players is consistency, and this might explain why Santos is in League one.

I’m not particularly happy with how we’ve been run this season, but I’ve gotta say, Big Dunc was a proper breath of fresh air today. Real positivity, proper acknowledgement of fans and actually looked awake on the touchline. Yes we lost, yes we’re almost certain to go down but fuck me it’s nice to see us at least showing something in terms of fight and playing some decent stuff at times. Onyango looks a good signing, excellent debut.

Think I've just about woken up after being bored to tears this afternoon.

We started quite well, but then Vale realised our midfield is complete dogshit so just swarmed all over us. If Vale had a recognised striker, or even a decent focal point up front, they'd have walked it. Fortunately, they didn't do much second half and we tried to make a go of it at the end.

Yes we had a stonewall penalty turned down, but we didn't deserve to win anyway.

This is just typical Cheltenham though, run the likes of Plymouth and Derby really close - at times playing them off the park - then put in that sort of performance against a team near us in the League.

I’ve seen a clip of that penalty appeal back on Twitter and I think we’ve used up our credit on benefitting off a refs decision for the next month or so. Got away with that big time.

Cheltenham to me did seem rather content to take the point for large parts of the game and let us make most of the running. Butterworth tried manfully up top but I don’t think there are many teams at this level who can really pull off using a false nine effectively and that includes us.

We looked absolutely knackered - which was baffling when it was Vale who'd played in midweek and we didn't.

We knew we'd miss Liam Sercombe, but to miss one player this much is horrific. An experienced forward and any kind of central midfielder are crucial before the deadline on Tuesday.

That’s almost a compliment mate. Might be too little too late this season but we do like a second half of the season run in! I think we are good enough to be making the playoffs though this season. But it’s far from done. Away at Wycombe and Peterborough coming up are big games.
I'll give credit where it is due.

Snap! Absolutely the same here - central midfielder and forward we are desperate for.

OMFG GET IN SALOP!!!!!!! FOUR ON THE BOUNCE BABYYYY!!! I LOVE THIS CLUB!!!
You've got quite a few of the top teams to play haven't you? You must have picked up since you played us at Vale because you were dire that day. Be interesting to see if you're having a good run because you're playing poor teams currently or have you turned a corner?

I'm going to say it, i reckon we're going down.

I'm normally the most optimistic of people, but i'm now trying to find excuses not to go. We are absolutely clueless, despite being unbesten at home in February, we have not progressed and it is so un inspiring. We cannot score to save our lives.

Credit to the numbers Cambridge bought, just over 800, best they've bought in a long time, but my god that was two poor teams.

The problem this season is there are no dreadful teams, i appreciate we are hard to beat. But look at Morecambe, they're putting a lovely run of wins together at home.

Bloody football!
I've not seen a game so roundly deplored across social media and forums for a very long time. Sounded like I dodged a bullet today, I've seen no positive views on us or Cambridge this afternoon. A few have suggested it was like watching a non-league game!

As you say though, we're desperate for a good end of the transfer window. It's alright getting a goal scorer in but we don't create any chances, it's so bad to watch at the minute. Boring, dull, passive, mind numbing - use which ever adjective you want, it's well below what we should be expecting performance wise.

11 draws in 13 at home is pretty mental, really. I think today equalled a Club record for home league draws in a season.

And theres still 10 home games remaining!!

Next few dayd are crucial. We need at least 2 or 3 players in, certainly 3 if Vernam is going to Grimsby. We just had nothing on the bench to even attempt to change the game today.

We are solid at the back, but so lacking in creativity going forward. Diamond has lost all confidence.

The only positive today was it was actually pretty warm sat outside!

Great result for us at MK - our first ever win at there. Seems like they were wasteful but we grew into the game on a poor pitch.

Jev really is having the season of his life - he’s so important to us and to get a clean sheet is also really good.

Pleased for Caldwell as he seems to be building nicely and we’re picking up regular wins on the road. We now need to start winning at home and we will be looking up.

Lincoln’s home form is absolutely bizarre, to be unbeaten but 17th in the form table is nuts.

Need the points asap - April sees us playing Peterborough, Pompey, Plymouth and Wednesday at home and Barnsley and Bolton away

Just brought myself to look at the league table after yesterday. Why do so many teams have 2 or more games in hand over us ffs, we actually had a decent cup run.

Strange goings on at Peterborough. Admittedly, we could have been 4 or 5 down after an hour but we came back strong in the last 30 minutes which was promising, in a way.

The decision to disallow our first goal was peak Bobby Madley. Both ref and linesman gave the obviously, perfectly legal goal but on the way back to the halfway line, something stirred in Bobby's brain... "should I accept the inevitable fate, that the score is now 2-1 or do I, Bobby Madley have free will?". Bobby decided to prove a point to himself and humanity by faking a consultation with his confused linesman and make us question existence itself by awarding a free kick for ????..... well Bobby will take that to his grave.

Anyway, we did eventually get one back but couldn't quite get level. Deserved win for Peterborough overall but an encouraging comeback.

I’ve said since July that I expected us to be in and around the play off places/top half with the squad that we have. Unfortunately we must have been the unluckiest club in the football league in the first half of the season with injuries. Losing George Nurse and Dan Udoh especially for the season early on killed us a bit. That and we’ve had three red cards overturned in games that we lost all three. Not saying we wouldn’t have lost them all still but I think we’d have won atleast two of them if we had 11 on the pitch still.

Yes we have a few of the top teams to play, but do I fear them? Absolutely not. When the bottom teams play the top teams in this division, it’s not exactly Bournemouth vs Man City where it’s almost a certainty City will win. On our day we can certainly beat anybody in this league home and away but unfortunately we’re consistently inconsistent hence our position.

This is the best squad we’ve had since 2017-18 season under Paul Hurst where we finished 3rd despite being in the top two all season until the last few games. Wouldn’t be at all surprised if we do get 6th place but unfortunately Barnsley have a few games in hand over us yet.

It’s just nice to be looking up in this league instead of down for the first time in a few seasons.

Definitely quirky.

I'm not sure whether we're the only unbeaten home record in the EFL but to have that, but also the fewest wins is bizarre.

I'd say that you are where we want to be in 2 or 3 years. You've served your time in league one and looking to push on to the next level. We'll need a bit of time to get our squad sorted to that level. I'd say we're a similar if not slightly bigger sized club than Shrewsbury, so it shows that it's achievable with some good recruitment.
