Swindon should definitely be confident, in our last 5 games at best our performances have been average and poor on quite a few occasions, along with enough injuries which mean our LB is probably going to be a striker, our RB could be a centre midfielder and it’s even possible once again our sole centre forward on the day will be a donkey.

*Maybe we will get some players back Saturday but I’m not sure yet.

Swindon were the best visiting side to rock up at Valley Parade this season by some distance. One of the best footballing spectacles for a while at this level. Two sides keeping it mainly on the deck and playing lovely football. No hoofball, no playacting, no time wasting or shithousery we've come to expect at Valley Parade this season from visiting clubs

Swindon are alright i really rate Johnny Williams (always runs the show v us) and Hutton the wing back. They look a bit frail at the back so i wouldnt have them down as top 3. Orient the best I've seen so far. Gillingham and Colchester the worst.

We play some good stuff ourselves so hopefully a decent match.

It’s the most likely 0-0 or 1-1 game of the weekend, we specialise in binary results.

But if I did have to pick a winner I’d fancy you lot much more than us
Apparently we are the team you win most points from

It’s almost impossible to be worse than Tuesday but I really hope we don’t put that theory to the test

Johnny Williams is a class act at this level. He did seem to tire on Tuesday and was substituted midway through 2nd half

He either starts and is subbed or starts on the bench then comes on with 30 mins left. It’s how we manage to get the most out of him.

He’s off to the WC in a couple of weeks so we’ll miss him for sure.

Danny Amos LB if we can cause them problems there, We won’t get nowt.
Amos was decent last season. Second choice this season behind The Rubbish Glennon so we've hardly seen. Both left backs were out midweek and it sounds like it's touch and go regarding whether Amos will be in contention. Wouldn't be surprised to see the two RBs start again.

No shame in that.

Glennon is great. Needs to improve a bit defensively but one of the best attacking full backs in the division from what I've seen. Loves an early cross.

The Rubbish Glennon?

He had a poor spell here in a poor team so for some reason that's upset the Grimsby contingent who he's always been decent for. We've only stated what we saw from him over the course of six months.

Our message board is back to being giddy and in piss this tinpot league because we’ve started to do the bare minimum expected of us this season.

Not so confident myself we’ve radically turned a corner and become a good side, think this is going to be a harder game than Carlisle.

Yeah same. Strong feeling we don't win today. And our fans will go off on one about it again.

And it's going to be like this all season. On and off because that's what mid table sides do.

We're so used to always being in either a promotion or relegation battle for like over a decade our fans are all over the place.

I always thought the Glennon joke was because before COVID, when he was with us, he was really rather good but one of the Carlisle fans then started the joke that we claimed he was world class and it’s been a back and forth since then.

Could well be then, but I remember there being a bit of discussion when he re-signed for Grimsby after being on loan with us. Maybe that's just added FUEL TO THE FIRE.

Maybe we broke you on Tuesday? I’m going 4-3 Gills.

Going by their twitter graphics, for some reason Crewe are playing in their striped blue away kit for some reason.

Looks like a back 3 (5 in reality) for us today, it worked well at Salford but surprised to see Khan & Green left out

Amos starts at left back so we actually have a proper LB this week but would’ve preferred to see Cropper in place of Efete for the long throw alone

Walsall v Dale delayed KO until 3.15 due to the M6 being shit.

Huntington is back which is a boost, but in true Carlisle United fashion, another one has dropped. This week’s new injury victim is Fin Back.

Think you should have too much for us. We’ll need to start well and defend well to have a chance (though we got a point without doing either on Tuesday I think that’ll prove a one off!). Wouldn’t expect us to have more than 35% of the ball, which is usually better for us. We have a couple of players back which gives us a more solid look - Eastmond and John. Frees us up to have a proper right back. Home win 2 or 3 to 1.

El Mizouni starts. Massive for us. Moncur makes the bench, with Sotiriou starting. Which either means we’re playing 4-4-fucking-2 or Sotiriou is going to spend an hour repeatedly losing the ball on the edge of Salford’s 18 yard area. Come back Chubby G, all is forgiven.

Four Cumbrians in the first eleven. If that's not something to get behind then I don't know what is.

Where players are from is of no relevance to me. I want Carlisle to win whether there are four players from Cumbria or four players from North Korea.

Rovers unchanged, no surprise with Micky making no subs in midweek. Carlisle strengthened by Huntington’s return. Just hope we’re not talking about the referee at the end of this one.
