Well that was a throughly enjoyable and deserved win, Ipswich huffed and puffed but created very little other passing it from side to side and once we scored I was confident we’d see it out.

Bonner got his tactics spot on and the players put a quality shift in especially knibbs who worked his absolute balls off and won the free kick from which we scored.

Looking forward to next season already with phish coming down and hopefully Northampton coming up along with ipswich who aren’t going anywhere, hopefully next season they won’t be as cock sure.

Up the u’s.

We were pretty poor today but credit to you guys. One of the few teams that’s come here and not sat back for a point and got your reward. Our season has been realistically over for a while. We’ll see what next season has in store. Whatever the outcome it’s nice to be enjoying supporting our club again. We might go over board about our attendances sometimes but the feel good factor around the club is 10 times better than it was before we came down here. Seems ridiculous to say but I’d so much rather be where we are now than plodding along in the championship with Mick and Evans.

Let’s hope a Posh go down and Northampton managed to get across the line!

Hahaha please tell me you are taking the piss? Our shooting was terrible which is why we didn't have more on target. The amount of times we got in a goal scoring position and wasted it was very frustrating. By half time we should have had the game wrapped up.

Bolton had 1 chance all game, the goal.

McCleans yellow was never a yellow. Santos did 2 far more cynical challenges and didn't receive a yellow at all before that. Two soft fouls, with 1 debatable do not constitute a red card, every soft fool getting a yellow would be crazy.

That challenge was, late, high and with force, if you don't think that was even a free kick but McClean producing minimal contact with Dapo was a yellow then wow.
please tell me your taking the piss......How can you score 5 plus goals when you had one shot on target all game
shots over the bar do not count as points like in rugby you must be getting yourself mixed up.
McClean is a talent in lge1 but he should have walked yesterday for targeting Dapo who he could not live with pace
Santos had Mcgennis in his pocket all game and let him out near the motorway on the way back.
You over run us first 30 when we was all over the place after that it was a decent game.
The substitutions changed the game we looked way more solid in midfield when Dempsey came on.
Not bothered about season tickets.crowds etc
You are going up this year and we start again come August so i will leave it at that

The injury to Baldock a few weeks ago is really starting to cost us. Chances falling to Gavin Whyte aren’t being converted (as good a player as he is), it’s a real weakness. Matty Taylor doesn’t look quite so effective either.

We could and should have come away with something. Once Plymouth scored, they had a really strong spell for 15-20 minutes and we looked unable to counter.

Mike Cooper is excellent by the way. He made a couple of excellent stops, comfortable on the ball and really good distribution.

Fair summary. Thought you edged it 1st half and we rode our luck a bit with that offside decision and Coopers saves. We were a lot better 2nd half and the 1st goal was always going to be crucial. It was a great strike by Edwards. Mike Cooper is getting better all the time and defo a premier league player in the making. Some of the saves he has pulled off this season have been absolutely incredible and his distribution is top class too.

I, like many, had some question marks over his command of the box especially from crosses/corners but he has worked on them. I know Bavuna and Peacock-Farrell get all the coverage, but I have not seen a better keeper this season. And that includes Kepa at Chelski. He will play in the Premiership. Question is will he be with us next year, I have my doubts? Then the question is who comes in and what will we get.

Thats a good point you make. Cooper doesn’t really get talked much in discussions about the best keeper in the league which I’m quite happy about to be honest. He has to be right up there with the best though. The Chelsea match was the moment for me where I thought wow, this lad is going right to the top. He was a colossus in that game. As you say his composure is a huge asset and his shot stopping has always been first class. Enjoy him while we can, he won’t be with us for long.

Beat Donny 2-0 in what was a must-win game for us if we were to have any chance of keeping up with the playoff pack.

I would say that DRFC actually had some decent players, they certainly passed it around decently enough and all that, and I've certainly seen plenty worse teams in a relegation dogfight.

But they just looked so toothless - I didn't feel they had any real leaders on the pitch, some hairy-arsed centre back or a midfield hardman to get stuck in to the opposition, and gee up their own troops.

You’ve summed us up to a tee
