Had Gilkes in lge 2 very streetwise but i never once seen him feign a injury
It will get like the boy crying wolf soon
Evatt said back then that we had to be tougher and at times cuter but as yet we have not gone down that route

I hope people do get punished for it. No harm in slowing things down, taking to the corner, making the other team foul you. Every hard tackle players are rolling around like their legs have been chopped off. Probably is now alot of the refs now are not seeing genuine fouls or man handling due to so many cheaters, diving etc..

The irony with Farman was that the one time he was genuinely injured and had to go off, no-one kicked the ball out and ref refused him treatment.

Slowing the game down etc under the Cowley's was a big thing, we were exceptional at managing games, but it never got to a Westley/Ainsworth level.
