Looking at those fixtures you would say everyone in the top 10 or so has easy matches except for Rotherham and us. but things rarely turn out as they seem.

I never held out much hope for this fixtre for us so a point should be a good result but how we are playing at the moment and with Rotherham not seemingly firing on all cylinders I feel we could come out with all three. 1-1 or hopefully 1-2.

So we shall of course be mullared after saying the above. :gr:

A week with no game Tuesday was definitely needed after Saturday, a chance to rest and regroup. If we play like we did against Crewe then we've got no chance against Doncaster who will be sniffing blood.

Not an easy trip to a Lincoln team with relegation fears, they tend to raise their game against the better sides as well. Looks like we will have a couple of players back to bolster the squad including Lee Gregory so that is a big boost.

A win would make it 10 from the last 12 since turn of the year.

If our recent home games are anything to go by you'll hammer us, zero fight, idea or a likelihood of scoring.
We've just played Doncaster and Gillingham and apart from a early spell of the first half in the Donnny game we never look like scoring they just run out of ideas and give up.
We have the worst home record in the division, 10 defeats out of 18.
We're incredibly easy and predictable to play against.

We look up for the fight at the moment. A while ago it seemed we had no chance of scoring unless Jacobs or Curtis did something. Since Jacobs's injury though, we're still getting goals which is very encouraging. This is the second game of Curtis's two match suspension but hopefully our momentum is enough to get a win against Accy, a team we usually struggle against.

Away to Crewe.

Big game for both sides - both teams come off the back of a win after a run of crap form.

We've come badly unstuck vs some of the relegation-threatened sides of late (Shrews & Lincoln) and we can't afford to do that on Saturday if we want to keep our playoff hopes alive.

Equally Crewe will be desperate to build on their win v Cheltenham. No-one's dead and buried in the relegation dogfight yet, so the fact they're at the arse end of the table means nothing.

If I were David Artell I'd be telling the team to park the bus and hit us on the break, as we haven't done well vs that sort of tactic.

Hope Kyle Dempsey gets the warm reception he deserves today.
Never gave anything less than 100% in a Giils shirt.
Can’t say that about many the last few years.

What a finish Aaron Morley. Dion Charles has missed 2 absolutely sitters as well. This should be done and dusted already. Gillingham long throw is an absolute weapon though.

Crewe were absolute gash in the first half today, but in typical unsportsmanlike fashion, they actually turned up for the second half and made a game of it, and were probably on top for a fair chunk of it.

We had two concussion injuries - and whilst we definitely have faked injuries to break up play, these looked nasty - leading to a whopping 11 mins of stoppage time, but we were not only able to weather the storm, but add a 3rd goal to finish on 3-1.

If Crewe usually play like they did in the first 45, they are as good as down - if they play like they did in the second, maybe they've got a chance.

Burton were pretty hopeless. Good strike for their goal, mind.

As soon as Baldock went off, our attack was blunted by the introduced of Sam Winnall. Should have been more, but a comfortable home win.

Wow, never saw that result coming after we went down to ten men and a goal down. Sadly I think it's just too much to make up the points and cames in hand both Wigan or Rotherham have so it's just a case of keeping in the playoffs.

That referee in the second half was really kind to ensure that both teams came back out with 11 men.

We’ve come away from Rotherham having absolutely thieved 3 points. I think that’s a bigger robbery than how we got our football club.

We were rubbish, but Wimbledon even worse. Toughed it out in the last five minutes with ten men after an injury post three subs. Them’s the results that win promotion…

Great result man against boys......Good to see teams above us win who have played right and deserve to be up there...............Oxford and MK Dons
Confident of getting out of this league next season streets ahead of teams like Sunderland, Shef Wed and Ipswich who will be short odds in the betting next season

We completely dominated to be fair but the rubbish part came in and around their penalty area, the amount of times we were two on two and two on one yet failed to even get a shot away was frustrating, too sloppy going forward, despite that still managed to get 22 shots away and not sure how we didnt win that 5+. Wimbledon look completely gone, apart from the last 5 minutes, the most comfortable game for a while.

We owe someone an absolute hammering but seem to not want to score more than a couple of goals in games.

Well I didn't see that coming!
Finally went to 3 at back and it helped us, Fiorini was superb in midfield.
Some knobhead behaviour from both sets of supporters throughout the game sadly, police everywhere post match.

Who is streets ahead of us? Surely you’re not talking about Bolton?

We were shite today. Didn’t really get going all day. Lincoln the better team and deserved their win so no complaints from me.

Our next 5 is Cambridge, Accrington, Gillingham, Cheltenham and Wimbledon. 3 of them at home. On paper it’s a generous run but I doubt it’ll pan out that way.

Donny are as good as down. They're too nice. They played some decent stuff, but they had no bite about them whatsoever.

Last week we lost to a Crewe team prepared to fight tooth and nail for three points, this week we rolled over a Donny team resigned to their fate.

Yet another set of great fans as well. Spoke to a couple in the pub after the game, and they're realistic about their chances. They're expecting to go down, but footballs a day out more than anything else, and fair play to them for enjoying it regardless of the result.

Finally played 3 at the back and it worked, now we need to find a way to beat teams who sit in against us at home as that's been our achilies heel all season and last.

“Streets ahead” is a stretch, but I personally think we’re a better side than you based off games I’ve watched of you lately.

Suppose we’ll find out in a few weeks when we play you.

Well played Lincoln, set up well and got into us so we didn't settle and capitalised with the goal, we grew into the game and scored a good goal to level.

We didn't help our cause with some basic errors but their 2nd was a great goal and can't begrudge the 3rd. I think we left our shooting boots in South Yorkshire and didn't get many shots on target.

We knew there'd be some setbacks so it is how we react v Cambridge next week.
