“Streets ahead” is a stretch, but I personally think we’re a better side than you based off games I’ve watched of you lately.

Suppose we’ll find out in a few weeks when we play you.

:D based on what?

Points? League position?

Great result man against boys......Good to see teams above us win who have played right and deserve to be up there...............Oxford and MK Dons
Confident of getting out of this league next season streets ahead of teams like Sunderland, Shef Wed and Ipswich who will be short odds in the betting next season
That's bait

We completely dominated to be fair but the rubbish part came in and around their penalty area, the amount of times we were two on two and two on one yet failed to even get a shot away was frustrating, too sloppy going forward, despite that still managed to get 22 shots away and not sure how we didnt win that 5+. Wimbledon look completely gone, apart from the last 5 minutes, the most comfortable game for a while.

We owe someone an absolute hammering but seem to not want to score more than a couple of goals in games.
We aren't going to give anyone a hammering imo because our attacking players don't have enough consistent quality in front of goal to do it. No words needed regarding Magennis. Edwards shouldn't be starting for a top two L1 side, Keane's numbers are good, but he misses his fair share of sitters and although Humphrys' has the raw ingredients to be an excellent player, his end product is poor (if it was good he'd be playing for a better team than us). Our best attacker is Lang, but he was off the boil today and I think he needs a rest.

We're going to grind it out from now until the rest of the season. Any hopes we had of dishing out hammerings disappeared when Charlie Wyke went down.

Well played Lincoln, set up well and got into us so we didn't settle and capitalised with the goal, we grew into the game and scored a good goal to level.

We didn't help our cause with some basic errors but their 2nd was a great goal and can't begrudge the 3rd. I think we left our shooting boots in South Yorkshire and didn't get many shots on target.

We knew there'd be some setbacks so it is how we react v Cambridge next week.
If the stats are correct you had one shot on target and we had nine.
Our season summed up perfectly, can't beat teams in the bottom six but turn up and play well against the top six, unbelievable!
As with my earlier post we really needed to try three at the back sooner with the fullbacks pushing on before but possibly due to the incredible number of injuries we've had we couldn't.
I didn't know Eminem was an owl, he had quite the day out in the block nearest to the Lincoln fans

Our game in a few weeks won’t decide who’s better. The table at the end of the season will.

Such a great game yesterday. When i saw the line up announced, I was trying to work out if we were 4 at the back with Eyoma at left back or 5. Pleasantly surprised from the off. I felt Fiorini ran the show and was everywhere in the middle of the park, and the front two allowed us to unsettle and close down their defence at every opportunity.

I do think it may have had a different outcome if Wednesday had scored first, the crowd would have been getting increasingly frustrated, but it worked a treat.

Expected so much more from Wednesday in the 2nd half, but it never came and we rightly went on to have a comfortable end to the game.

A great set of results with all other teams losing around us, and a good edge to the game. Felt it was a good atmophere!

3 tough away games on the trot now!

Based on the quality of the players, but that’s just my opinion.

Alas, similarly to last year, our season only started in mid-January.

Still a big ask to get into the playoffs given the first half of our season. That said, even if we miss out, it looks like next season has the potential to be a very positive one. But we shall see!

In recent weeks, Rotherham I recall.

I don’t necessarily agree with you either. Our team has completely changed since the January transfer window, as seen by the form of the side (and the form table over the last 15 games).

Likelihood is, first half of the season has given us too much too do. But the side as it is look more than capable of challenging for promotion next season.

I walked by up to the bus station and stopped off at treaty which is nearby and heard a couple of lads in there saying that the police weren't letting Lincoln fans into the railway station.
I normally get the train but didn't bother yesterday used the bus instead thought it would be easier and so it proved.
Did seem the police were spoiling for a fight as much as the two groups of knobheads.
It amazing how the knobheads always seem to get tickets and decent fans miss out, the group nearest to the coop spent the entire game goading the Lincoln fans.

For me we should play 3-5-2 or 5-3-2 for the rest of the season, we looked so much better.
Fiorini was superb, his best game since his flying in September when he scored 3 times .

Just watched extended highlights about 20 minutes posted by a Gillingham fan in Germany ? however some of the football we played was a joy to watch, we missed several sitters and the Gillingham fan was very complimentary, to be honest six would not have flattered us. Just wish we had started with this squad but we are still in with a shout.

A game against top of the league where we were the better side for the majority of the game?

You must be very good then.

Who is streets ahead of us? Surely you’re not talking about Bolton?
Certainly i am would say we have a slightly better team at this moment than the three mentioned
Its not about money Ipswich and Sunderland have spent maybe double what we have done this season and Yourselves have Championship players on Championship wages. What is making us catch those three and pass them is a Manager and performance Analyst who in my opinion are as good as anything outside the Premier league

No it wont it will rightly say who has had the better season......And no doubt it is you.
I heard all this last season when i said we was the best team in lge 2 after Christmas and i heard the same thing from a number of fans.
Just over 13 months ago you was two leagues and 40 odd places above us..........Today thats 5 places and 7 points above us

Bolton were nothing special last weekend. If that’s the best team in the league then this league is horrific.

These are the form tables. Bolton on a good run but have actually lost ground on MK Dons in the last 12 matches and have recently gone down a place. and are only eleventh. Last weeks game was massive and we didn't turn up. Think Rotherham. Wigan and MK Dons will remain top 3, Oxford and Sheffield Wednesday are favourites for fourth and fifth, and sixth place is between the other 6. Plymouth have a tough run in and Sunderland/Wycombe need to find form which they seem to be doing. Bolton need to beat Wednesday, Portsmouth and Plymouth at home to stand any chance. And we are much better at home and when we don't play well we have been coming through. i.e. against Charlton and Lincoln. The rest of the games are against the bottom half teams but I am sure it won't be that straight forward. The six minutes against Burton when we conceded 3 goals during storm Eunice proved that.

As much as I like taking the piss out of Masi's 'best team in the league' comments they are a good team. Personally I'd put them above Sunderland and Ipswich. probably Portsmoth too, although they are doing their best to gatecrash the top six.

We are not good and at this moment in time we are NOT the best club in the league.........stop fishing
We are up there and we are getting better thats all

It’ll be a mad dash for those last couple of playoff spots.

In reference to your fellow fan who questioned the quality of this league - Standard might not be up to much in comparison to the top two tiers, but it doesn’t stop it being enjoyable! At least not if you’re one of the sides still in the promotion hunt.

Set to be an exciting end to the season.

I wasn’t doing that in the slightest. The league is the best it’s been in years my post was simply because Bolton weren’t good but both Masi and Evatt have been bugging Bolton up for ages and it’s boring

Obviously you cannot read or you spin things...........I am saying we wont go up this season only that we have improved to be presently one of the best teams in the league. We will have to improve again in the summer as at present we are not good enough to go up this season on next as we are
