On a side note in our game today, Leyton Orient made 5 subs in 4 separate sittings (for want of a better word) - 46 min, 54 min, 2x 71 min, 81 min). I thought it was only 5 subs in 3 allowed? Have I got that rule wrong?

Was the 46 min one half time? If so that doesn’t use up one of your slots

Another 3 points on the board.

An absolute bore fest first half. Orient having all the possession, but apart from a long range shot hitting the bar, did nothing to test our defence.

2nd half we started much better. A great move down the right and Makama scores a header. We then had two other attempts quite close afterwards that we should have done better (Makama running from halfway line, beating the Orient defence for pace before slotting wide).

A great move from Ring through to Draper and had a great view of the finish past the keeper.

Felt that was it, but fair play to Orient who had a cracking finish within a couple of minutes and made us sweat a little in added time. Great save from Wickens to deny an equaliser.

Not the best of performances but a wins a win and 8900 home fans is ridiculous number considering no ticket promotions etc
It was grassroots football day, hence the Stacey West having so Imps in it, great to see.
Even better that the two products of the club's youth programme scored the goals.
Pretty certain it's the first time they've both scored in the same game.

7 points in a week, and 5 clean sheets in a row is impressive. But, we did look very leggy today and far from where we need to be performance wise. Losing Magennis in the first half hurt us.

Caldwell said he’s knows too many players are not showing their best but will use the 12 day break to work on that.

Cambridge looked beaten really and so low on confidence. They didn’t really cause us any problems despite improving second half. Football is a funny game though and one result can flip things.

12 days now till Shrewsbury away for us. Need to work on some things and hopefully get a few injured players back. Still, sitting in 7th gives us a nice solid footing, so I’m delighted with that. UTC.

Subs at half time don’t count in your three opportunities.

Stockport County.
Very hard fought game against Wigan. They shaded first half, we shaded second half. Can see why they don't concede many but also don't score many. Draw a fair result on balance although only we had any desire to actually try and win it in the last 20-25 minutes.

I'd say he should get a lengthy ban for that, but I don't want to threaten Bolton with a good time.

just looked it up - Alan pardew got a 7 match ban for his “headbutt” when managing Newcastle…

To be fair he's under more pressure right now than most world leaders. No man should have that sort of expectation placed on his shoulders.

He's probably better paid than most world leaders.

I am still buzzing after yesterday’s victory over Blackpool. It was our best performance of the season even with missing some of our best players.

Thought Blackpool weren’t a bad side and should be up there challenging the play offs, but we just stopped them playing by chasing, harrowing and closing them down quickly. I don’t know how the Stags keep the work rate up but they were magnificent.

Nice to have two weeks off, with Nigel giving everyone 9 days off and told everyone not to come into work until a week on Monday.

No wonder the lads would run through a brick wall for him. The best man manager I have ever seen.

I realise that the table hasn’t truly taken shape yet, and that as time goes on, yer Huddersfields, Barnsleys, Peterboroughs, Blackpools and (if someone can shitcan Evatt) Boltons are going to come back into reckoning.

But the above would be the least expected play-off lineup in living memory if it happened.
Outrageous cutting off of the table there..

Not a game for neutrals at EP yesterday, unless they happen to be an '80s Serie A aficionado because it was a real tactical battle, County who had scored in every game vs Wigan who hadn't even conceded in five.

As you know now it's six in a row, but not for want of trying from County who really made them work hard for it second half. Actually Wigan had one disallowed, supposedly for handball but I've watched the replay a few times and I can't see it. Would have been harsh to lose that as I thought we were better than the win at Shrewsbury on Tuesday. Worth it to see the bellend goalscorer shushing the Cheadle End then sheepishly turn around and trundle off.

I expected to be on 20 sometime early december!

Lost 1-0 to Charlton and fair do's we weren't at the races, nothing we tried came off but they played with intensity for a longer period than any team we have played all season and we had no answer, offered nothing up front we couldn't pass it well, all in all pretty abysmal but full credit to the Addicks.

Not surprised we have lost a game, going unbeaten was never going to happen, 15 points out of 18 with the toughest run of games we have had so far is a great return.

We will be fine and we move

Not being funny, the money you have thrown around should mean you do go unbeaten. The absolute hypocrisy of the manager going on about Charlton spending ridiculous amounts is an insult to be honest.

I thought the same, it was embarrassing tbh.

When you’ve broken the league transfer record on 3 separate occasions in 1 summer and have a budget that far outstrips anyone else (even your circus in north Wales) you simply can’t moan about other teams finances.

I have not seen or heard the interview so can only assume it was tongue in cheek. Always important to have context.

Thought Charlton looked decent, they need to prove they can do that every week now, which i doubt they will be able to
