Different beast under Lindsey and we are at home where we had a great record even under Williamson. Win.

Tough home game from Vale. Expect it to be low scoring and could go either way. Again the odds on a Notts win look a bit too favourable.

What sort of team are Vale? Expecting you to be big and physical and to try and bully us

Not overly, we obviously play into Stockley who is a big old fashioned number 9 but if anything struggle against physical sides (hence Accrington away) and more mix it up.

We've likely lost our best player in George Byers to injury last night so that makes this much harder for us, he is a Championship level midfielder and no idea how we've managed to sign him (well obviously £££) over teams like Blackpool etc but it leaves us a problem, with Byers we'd fancy gaining control of the midfield and the game because he simply runs games from our midfield with his quality but without him we have two decent midfielders but too similar and not great passing midfielders so have to sort that conundrum as we can get over run then.

I was confident we could get something in this as Notts would play a style which should suit us (i.e. not try and bully us or low block) but Byers being out is as big of a miss as Jones for you and I am far less confident now.

We are 6 unbeaten and still inconsistent performance wise, we've got the attacking quality to hurt County but so have County to hurt us so if we can put in a good performance it could be a really decent tie, hopefully Byers is a "Sam Hart" injury and he rolls up Saturday but think its less likely.

Would take a point but don't wan't us to play for a draw and looks to play to our strengths which is being on the front foot.

We barely ever get anything at Crewe, so expecting a home win. That said after last night I hope we've had a bit of a rocket and will put on a performance - good sides shouldn't lose two in a row. At the moment I'm swaying between a 1-1 and a 2-1 Crewe win.

A lot of my confidence depends on how many of the walking wounded we get back. Conor Thomas seems like he's out for a few weeks, but the rest I'm not sure about. We'll have to wait on Lee Bell's assessment. If we're down all of them, then I can't see us getting more than a scrappy draw. If a few return in the forward areas, then we might be ok. I'd take a point if offered.

Ripley doesn't save anything so if notts county have 6 shots on target then it will be 6 nil. Enjoy your big win.

I’m at the point for this game I’d be making a change in goal after last night. Maybe a spell on the bench will make Ripley realise he’s not as good as he thinks he is. Not to say he can’t earn his way back in but others have been dropped for less.

Guessing we’ll be without Byers too which isn’t ideal.

Think thats fair, we signed Ben Amos to be competition and if Ripper has dropped a couple of clangers its right Amos get a chance. We've conceded twice as many goals as our XA suggests we should have.

I don't know if it's something to do with coaching than the actual goalkeepers. Basically Ripley, stone and Stevens none of them saved anything, basically anything on target goes in against them. You also have Ripley never comes to claim crosses and sometimes gets caught out 20 yards from goal when with the ball. Amos is an experienced back up but he was terrible in the barrow cup game and let 3 in that game.

He did drop a clanger in that one to be fair!

Aiden Stone wasn't great but was never signed to be a number 1, we didn't bank on Lucas Covolan being a walking red card. Nearly ballsed up in the Play Off final but did have a few good moments.

Jack Stevens was terrible.

It's also backed up on the eye test. It's not as though our goal is bombarded every game but a lot of goals conceded seem to be scored from distance or doziness from the keeper. Notts will be different though as they will attack at every opportunity. If that was Stevens or Crazy Cov last night they'd have been lambasted after that. Goalkeeper is in my opinion every bit as important a position as striker. You can work around deficiencies in other areas but not there.

It's also why I'm not especially animated about the tactics Colchester used last night. If there was anyone of the level of a Chris Neal or Scott Brown in goal last night it's a comfortable three points we are talking about and the rest is irrelevant.

We attack a lot but don’t actually shoot that much. Apart from McGoldrick who can’t help himself, no one is going to be having a go from 25 yards, so you probably don’t need to worry!

Looking forward to this one, should be a good game.

No exactly, one goal from one shot on target by Swindon, Colchester 1 from 2 but the 1st shot was the one he parried! It happened last season as well.

Doesn't seem to matter on the keeper or the manager it has been a problem for a few seasons now.

Ripley did similar against Donny where he pushed it wide, good save but not behind and that conceded their second, he just doesn't seem to save anything at the minute (think its 50% save rate which is awful this season).

Not sure if its a hang over from last season or what.

Donny for us at what is bound to be a sold out Blundell Park .

Nice to not be under pressure languishing at the bottom of the table this time and hopefully right the wrong of their last visit .

Win,lose or draw I am confident we will give them a much better game.

I will settle for the scabiest, jammy, flukey 1-0 win against Bromley. After last night's heroics it will be interesting test of how Fleetwood approach this game. One thing is certain, I won't be surprised by any surprises

Another Saturday at Meadow Lane watching opposition centre-backs overawed by the sheer size of our Gambian Prince.

Will we win? Maybe. Will Jatta score? Yes.

Would like to see Gordon and Tsaroulla start wide and hopefully Grant is back, I don’t think Abbott offers enough in an advanced role so it’s between him and Robbo as to who starts alongside Palmer

I’m expecting our game to be a cracker, unfortunately though Donny always win here and we usually play dogshit against them too but hopefully different this time given our current form.

Got a bad feeling about Saturday. In spite of 6 games without defeat in all competitions, we've flattered to deceive a bit to be honest. Decent spells here and there but we look like a playoff team at best.

I've seen Notts a couple of times this season and they've got 2 or 3 players that I think we'll struggle against.

We definitely need to drop Hackford. From his limited exposure, he looks well short of what's needed and he just doesn't seem to provide any sort of goal threat.

We really struggled twice against a low block team in Accrington and Colchester but Notts will clearly go out to win, which might help. They also won't go down every 5 seconds to disrupt the flow of the game.

Can't see anything other than a home win though here. We're just not cohesive enough at the moment.

I think it’s a bit harsh personally, we’re not quite where we should be yet and still bedding in a lot of new players but we’ve been scoring goals, having 15-20 shots most games, have one of the better XA in the division and XG so it’s mostly there.

We’ve had one bad performance in the last 6 which we got a point from, should of won last night and played very well v Newport/Chesterfield and Swindon.

We do feel like we should go up another gear or two and should get better as the season goes on but we’ve had a tough start on paper and got a solid return.

Does feel like Moore maybe holds us back a bit, but seems to be how he is, at Sheffield Wednesday he had an expensive squad and they got 90 odd points and they felt it wasn’t convincing, lots of tight wins so maybe that’s just how it will be.

Saturday will go one of two ways, Moore will either get it spot on and get a decent performance or we’ll put in a dog performance and get beaten and probably no in between.

We certainly can’t afford an off day like v Stanley here but if we can get our front four buzzing it could be a very good contest. Two sides very strong going forwards. (0-0 then!)

I don't mind Doncaster or Walsall but would love it if we beat them both in the next 2 home games because between them they scored 11 last season at BP , humiliated us and took our dignity .

Fancy us against anyone at home, Jatta Gordon and Robbo hopefully start

That's how I felt when we had JJ starting at game at the San Sirrel.

It might be a stretch but due to Edwards injury, Robertson might be out most important outfield player due to lack of an adequate alternative.

Should be looking at circa 12,000 at the Lane.

I like Abbott, think he gets through a lot of work but agree he's better in a deeper role. He's also young and now expected to play every game, straight from youth football which is a big ask.
I'm starting to worry about Grant a bit. Loads of talent but I'm not sure he's as physical as he ought to be, drifted a bit the last few games.

Yeah, perhaps I'm being a bit harsh.

Just feels like we need a proper performance to get everyone on side. There's been patches of good stuff interspersed with some really poor stuff. Some good management decisions interspersed with some really poor ones.

I do get the feeling that one week, everything will come together and we'll give someone a good hiding.

Not this weekend though. Feel like it's come at the wrong time.
