He gave fouls for everything. I particularly enjoyed the yellow card to the Bradford player with 1 minute to go for a superb challenge. Both sets of fans short changed by that absolute clown.
He also managed to miss a lot of really obvious fouls, absolute clown.

If that's the incident I'm thinking of, I'm not sure who he actually booked because he didn't give a foul, he gave a throw-in. The Alex twitter seemed to think it was Jack Powell.

A game really short on quality, neither side were good enough to cope with the conditions although Bradford probably did a slightly better job and I wouldn't have really had any complaints if they'd won.

The problem was, he had already decided to kick it at Bogle. So whether a free kick was given or not, he was being a sly fucker. Do I think it was a red? Not sure tbh. Rarely see situations like that.

Looks to me like he was just going in to whack a ball that has come loose in a bit of a 50/50 - the sort of challenge you see in every single game. Just unlucky for Bogle that his head had landed in the way.

Port Vale though, a month ago well clear of the pack and now sucked right back in it.

Always going to be. There’s a thin line between everyone in this league and I expect there’ll be peaks and troughs for everyone all the way. Just our turn at the moment.

Hawkes out and Tom Davies not fit to return at the back. Rookie keeper on the bench. Unless the wind comes to Rovers aid, think a home win.

Added it to our extensive injury list.

I think a bit of it’s hanging off and could decapitate a goalkeeper or something.
Hmm suspiciously tinpot, perfectly acceptable playable conditions here 18 miles away...
...mind I can understand not wanting to tackle Cowleyball with your injury list.

Thought Darren Drysdale had booked himself for a moment there.

Yeah there was that one Simkin stopped on the line and a pretty awful miss from Richards in the first half when through on goal but outside that was shite. Was always going to be a game settled by an error / set piece or something like that and that's what happened.
Fair assessment mate poor game really but it's a good 3 points away for us

Yeah definitely sometimes the ugly wins are the best ones. Was never going to be a footballing masterpiece for either team in them conditions. Probably should have been 0-0 but I can’t say we are hard done to losing so no complaints and fair play to you.

Very scrappy game, we are lacking energy and a really soft goal to concede

I agree with Mat Sadler in that there's no point really analysing the game too much, based on the conditions it was played in. Both teams pretty poor, very scrappy. Draw would have been fair but a set piece fell for us - so lovely to win and get the 3 points but it wasn't a classic and you won't get any watching it back. Still a long old season ahead though. Was a great day out mind!

We are in a really good position now what we cannot do is let it all go to shit again in January like the last 2 seasons when we where in touching distance just after Christmas then lost players and fell off a cliff. If we lose Lowe Jellis etc they have to be replaced properly and money will need to be spent
One good early sign is we have already been linked to a move to bring Freddie Draper back from Lincoln so hopefully that means the club know what needs to be done.

Easy away win at a poor Harrogate. We just need to sort our home form a little

Another comfortable win against a side near the bottom. Home next week against a side above us means zero points so good to get the last two wins to keep us in the mix

Think I missed most of the fun in the first half, only catching the 2nd but it looked a really hard working performance. Big win for us. You do worry a bit for Tranmere though based on that.
Much as I slag him, chuffed for Drummond to get his first.

We were excellent today. Luker, Obikwu, Green and Hume all superb. Luker looks like a great signing based off the last two matches.

Crewe next week all of a sudden is a biggie.

Good win at Harrogate today considering the amount of player's we've got out injured at the moment.

I love it that I’m expecting us to win now whenever we play away, don’t know how long we can keep this insane away form up but I’m really enjoying it while it lasts and nice to get a cushion win too instead of hanging on a 1 goal lead like usual.
Trying not to get too excited but we’re a good chunk into the season now so this isn’t a fluke and we deserve to be where we are.
Happy days.

19 more points from 27 games and we can relax knowing we shouldn't get relegated

Very, very good first half performance from us where we should have been 4 or 5 goals up tbh, was back to our free flowing best. Tranmere couldn’t live with Dobra, Markanday & Colclough and it felt like they had more space in that first half than I’ve seen them have at any point during this season. 2nd half we managed it well & was great for Drummond to get his first ever EFL goal to kill the game.

As others have said, Tranmere very, very poor. 0 threat going forward and easy to play through, can see why they’re down there on that showing.

A mention for Sheckleford & Williams today. Shecks because I thought he defended brilliantly when he needed to and very neat & tidy on the ball despite it being his first league appearance since last season due to injury. And Williams because I’ll be first to admit that I thought this level would be a step too far for him, but I actually think he’s been consistently very good since finding his way back into the team mainly due to injuries. He actually looks better physically than he did last season, so credit where it’s due & glad he’s proving a few people wrong.

Bit of a shitshow all round that. I'm not sure what Moore was thinking with the starting lineup, playing no strikers. We're not Spain! Surely the conditions required a battling number 9 who could hold it up.

I said before the game that we're in a poor run of form at the moment ..we look very short of creativity and we seem to be conceding every week.

This is going to sound like sour grapes but I'm not sure whether that game should have gone ahead. The conditions were ridiculous at times and neither team covered themselves in glory. Feel like we should have played it another time so that both teams could show what they were about. In the end it was just a lottery and always likely one goal would decide it. We huffed and puffed a bit but you can tell we're in a dip. Walsall saw it out fairly comfortably which is not ideal in a top of the table clash.

We need to find a winning formula again quickly. Feels like Moore is trying to be too clever....just stick with the same team for 2 or 3 games. Changing 4,5,6 players every week is ridiculous and you can tell the players aren't building up any partnerships. I feel like that was on him today...he needed to look at the conditions and take advantage of the wind behind us in the second half.

Poor gate in the end but I imagine 1500 or so knocked off because of the weather.

On to my first ever visit to Bromley next week. Typically, they've hit a period of really good form and we're stinking the place out at the moment. At least the weather looks calmer.
