So did I. Not doubting DVR, just saying we genuinely couldn't put a proper first team out with an injury list that long.
Because a number of their injuries or players in their squad will be u21.

We had 6 u21 players in our outfield matchday squad of 16 on Tuesday. We have 19 outfield (22 the max) over age players in our registered squad. 9 are injured.

In fact we have 18 because named because I don't think we bothered to name Stretton as his ACL happened in pre season and there was no point registering.

Its clear when you look at Notts' squad, Williams does seem to favour senior players. I presume you would have an academy to help fill the bench if you got some injuries?

We have a fairly large squad although a fair few need moving on. We are playing a winger at left back and a defensive midfielder at centre half. We are also relying on a fair few youngsters, Faal, Marsh, Faulkner, Roberts, Sotana and Goodwin

Most of our missing are senior players, only Ravenhill and Hurst would fall into the U21 category

How many u21 in the matchday squad though? I'd wager a few.

All 9 of ours out are over 21.

We have an Academy but haven't produced any player who's gone on to League level for years. Kion Etete I think is the last and got snapped up by Spurs a few years ago and is now at Cardiff. Think he came off the bench once aged 17 to up the transfer fee.
We've three players who will maybe play in the EFL cup but nowhere near the bench for a league match and we've signed two loanees from Wolves and Stoke who haven't made the bench all season.

Not really, it's very much in rebuilding mode after regaining the league funding. There's no one there who could cope at league standard.

Williams' way of doing it is teaching players to play in different positions. We've got quite a few who can play all over the place, particularly Sam Austin who I think has now appeared everywhere other than centre back and right upfront. We're creating a bit of a niche as a rehabilitation home for mid-to-late 20s former wonderkids who've lost their way for different reasons. Nemane, Jones, Crowley and Bostock (albeit he's a bit older) all fall into that category really.

I'd put good money on that Tipton lad we signed on loan from Wolves as a centre back currently being in central midfield bootcamp and turning up there when we finally do see him.

Answered that above but 6 but has been has high as 8, the only reason we’ve been able to field a team. Hoping at least 2 of the senior players are back this weekend without anyone else missing after Tuesday. Most won’t be back before November at the earliest

Crawley have sold out for this, where were you all when we were shit?

Not sure what to expect out of this one. I don't expect Crawley to be as good as Mansfield but we do have some tired legs. Elliott Lee looks a shadow of the player he was earlier in the season.

Gonna be bold and predict we'll win 2-1.
Be interested to see if Crawley actually do something about a problem they have had since the season started with their fans constantly throwing flares and smoke bombs on the pitch at corners etc. When we played there a couple of weeks ago it was bad enough for the Referee to threaten to abandon the game yet they were still at it in injury time . Last we heard the FA were going to investigate. Thing is that on videos there is a line of stewards standing watching it go on yet doing nothing about it.

As for your question about "where were you all when we were shit". That coming from a Wrexham fan is hilarious. I suggest you ask that of 60% of your season ticket holders and your army of Disney telly clappers.

Crawley are putting extra lines of security for the game tomorrow, including sniffer dogs and increased searches on everyone.

90% of your fans support Liverpool or Everton as their first team.

Against you guys it was a lot more than just a smoke bomb, bottles and all sorts were being pelted at your keeper. It's a group of about 40 or 50 teenagers that are always causing the club grief.
They also have a massive issue with one of our stewards who apparently antagonises these little yobs which I find really hard to believe.
The club have had to take an extreme response which is the criteria in order to reduce the fine and sanctions from the FA. Somehow they still got one in last week but the little pussy didn't even throw it so just gassed everyone in the terrace instead.
Tomorrow should be interesting that's for sure.

Is that the best you can come up with?

Fact is, i've been going home and away for donkeys years and I can categorically say when we go away, since the takeover, fans of all clubs have come out the woodwork to see the home team beat Wrexham, and when we play at home, fans want to watch their team beat Wrexham away.

We played Mansfield away in 2006 with a crowd of less than 3k. Now they got well over double for a midwwek game. Please, tell me why?

That's right, its because they want to watch Wrexham get beat. Plain and simple.

Nothing to do with the hard work year on year increase in attendances, or record selling season ticket sales, Mansfield are nearing home capacity for most games nowadays.

It was a impressive following Tuesday from Wrexham, I think the last time they visited it was a Saturday and they managed 132.

I’m not denying there’s a aspect of getting one over Wrexham, a team that’s probably cost similar to a L1 promotion chasing side, but the reference to the 2006 game to last Tuesday is done wrong.

And whats that got to do with the fact that the majority of your current season ticket holders have only started going since Deadpool turned up or are you claiming that the Racecourse has been sold out every game since time began ? And as for people turning up to watch Wrexham lose. Can`t think why that is can you? Couldn`t have anything to do with the non stop hype could it? The club you mention Mansfield regularly get crowds of 5 to 6 thousand and have done for the last 3 years so getting a crowd of that size for your match there is nothing unusual for them. And, not denying your claim, but if every so called Wrexham fan that has claimed on social media etc that they have been going every home game since they were 6 or 7 the Racecourse would have had to hold over 30 thousand for the last 20 years.

Don't forget Uncle John's millions invested. Slowly but surely he's dramatically turned the club around and dragged the locals out of their houses on matchday. Clearly it's borne fruit in the last couple of seasons with much improved home attendances.

But obviously having FC Hollywood in town is the biggest factor of all.

There is also the factor of better standards of football, getting in to the local community etc as well as, not denying there are clubs who have attendances on the up. Still stand by what I said that most clubs in the past few years since the takeover has their highest attendance for years/ever when they play against us.

What's going on at the likes of Mansfield and Stockport after years of mismanagement is great to see imo.

I do hope the same for the likes of Southend and Hartlepool in the future too, but not Chesterfield.

I love the jealousy of those that can’t fill 50% of their own grounds, It was me 5 years ago at the likes of Lincoln who’s attendances rocketed overnight.

Currently we’re getting 6000+ home fans in every week, max we can get in is 6900 so we probably need to try and sort something ASAP to be able to get more in. Sadly that pathetic little tip on the other side of the ground can’t even be demolished currently as the only access is via the pitch.

Fingers crossed attendances across the board continue to rise, it certainly beats watching 4th division football in half empty stadiums that’s for sure, and we’d know after years of getting about 3k at home.

Tranmere away for us and I think it's safe to say enthusiasm is pretty low in both camps. Our record is dreadful at their place but we've slain a few of these types of monkeys on our back over recent seasons. We're capable of playing well and badly and winning and losing in both scenarios so fuck knows what's gonna happen. Reports are that Tranmere have been pretty pish and deserve their position. I think our performances overall have probably been a bit better than where we find ourselves but we've played more decent teams than we have poor ones so I'm hoping it's true that they're crap and that we can take something off them. Would like to see Wilson start for the first time this season. 0-2 Town.

Otherwise we have a Hollywood Red MkII
