Vintage Parkyball. True grit got it won for us.
Huge result. Haven't heard atmosphere like that all season either.

That one meant a lot, you could tell. We've got a serious chance here.

We're on the march and we've done this before.

We were absolute wank today against a very average Peterborough side, we probably didn’t deserve even the draw.

It’s easy to overreact to one poor performance, but it’s very much advantage Wxm if they continue on the path they’re on of grinding out results - we looked clueless, incoherent and completely lacking in spirit today.

Not a classic, but did enough. We did the old 'Blackman to save pen, before Wheeler scores the winner' bingo, half right i suppose.
Fortunately for us our defence is functioning at the right time, seven points clear and I reckon a couple more wins should do it.

I was so annoyed when I saw your 93rd minute equaliser!!

We've been in this situation for both of the last two seasons- it's so tense every weekend from this point on. I am hoping that this experience gives us the edge.

Quite an incredible turn around at Bolton.

Evatts last 9 games : 8 points.
9 ganes after Evatt left :22 points.

Same squad basically and probably had tougher games on paper.. We would have had a good chance to be in the shake up for the automatics if he had gone earlier.

The fact you got that draw though, means another one against us will be OK for you.
None of us will play blinding footie from here until the season's end I dare say (we hvnt all season though, tbf )
It's just about 'grinding-out results' from here on in....(which again tbf, is all we've done all season!)

One thing I'm pretty sure of though, if we DO get into the PO's...we'll be seeing you all next season....Wxm and PO's don't get-on that well...

Yeah we either go up in second or we get beaten in the PO semis.

I tried to post earlier but my phone wouldnt let me.

Today showed why we will get rlegated and Reading will not get promoted.

Reading appeared to be going through the motions towards the end of the season. We appeared completely devoid of any ideas.

We are meant to be fighting for our lives and our only shot on target was the 90th minute. Just a nothing team.

Bottom 4 looking pretty much done now. Will be a big ask for Crawley or Burton to pull themselves clear from this position.

I can't believe Wrexham have won 1-0 again. That's crazy. Is anyone putting money on them winning 1-0 each week? Would have made a fortune.

Looking at results and the table, thats the top 6 and bottom 4 all wrapped up. May as well end the season now.

As for our game with Birmingham today, we were very organised as a defensive unit which Birmingham struggled to break down. The pen was a pen. We didn't look like scoring till the final 10 minutes. Strange to say, but a 1-0 loss is a better scoreline than I expected.

Seems to be a common theme.

Wrexham win tight games and Birmingham get penalties..

Yeah but most weeks, we get the “oh great, Wxm are going to drop points…it’s 0-0…great…oh. Late goal. A-fucking-gain.”

I should say though, pretty much all of the key playoff contenders (County, Charlton, Bolton) are in frightening form, so I’m not ruling anything out right now, whoever isn’t right on their game in the run-in is going to choke big time.

Yeah of course everyone’s going to have bumps in the road, every game’s going to be a nailbiter, and I guess you want the privilege of something to play for right till the end, but I think we’re just lacking some cohesion right now, and I don’t see what’s going to change it.

The old Gunners chant keeps going through my head....with a slight twist.

One-nil to the Arsen.......

Erm...,

One nil to the Wrexham Town, one-nil to the Wrexham Town....

The days when we used win 6-4 or 7-2 etc,are a long distant memory....but 3 points are 3 points!
But I'll be amazed if we do go up via 2nd place though.... it could happen though, but as ER said, if it doesn't....we'll see you next season!

That was disappointing. Shouldn't have left Greater Manchester with nowt but deserved exactly that.

Roll on the league two promotion documentary.

Well, I’ve never seen you play under Harris so maybe I don’t know what I’m talking about, but personally I feel he’s probably a better relegation dogfight manager than a promotion one.

Probably I’m just basing that on the whole Gillingham experience though where their Yank investor came in once they’d gone down to L2, injected a bit of cash, but they didn’t seem to kick on under Harris, even though he’d tightened them up a lot in the relegation dogfight from the previous season.

Each situation is different though I guess.

By the way, the state of the Rotherham fans

'Stop the boats-On the Charge with Nigel Farage'. Embarrassing.

I've not seen any of this lot before, so I'm guessing they used the "Hollywood" event to gain some publicity for their racist views.

It's weird that young folk think that the millionaires in the Farage Reform Inc Party will ever be likely to have the interests of the common people at heart.
Still, it shows what an incredibly good conman Farage is.

Anyway back to football, I thought we deserved a point from both games we played against Wrexham this season. The fact is we got zero and in both games Wrexham found a way to win a game they didn't deserve to.

It's a good habit to have, we used to have it and I miss it............. a lot.

Proper lack of quality from both sides yesterday, 1-1 just about fair overall I reckon.

The officals had a shocker, Stevenage scored just before half-time and it was obvious to everyone with eyesight other than the lino he was offside, then in the second half the most obvious banker of a red card ever on Cargill and the referee gave him a yellow.

We signed some random American striker beforehand who went straight in to the 11 and did OK - but a sign of how desperate we are at the minute.

The disallowed goal at the end of the Crawley v Reading game.

From my, far from neutral, standpoint the ref cooked up big time there. Yes the ref had blown the whistle before Swan struck the shot but it seems very odd that a full time whistle is blown when a cross is coming into the box.

Shades of Clive Thomas in the Brazil v Sweden game many moons ago.

What a dire match that was.

Just catching up. Another pen for Birmingham? Amazing. Good job they didn't make sure of it by rolling on the floor for ten minutes too.

Fixed for you.

We’d have less penalties if teams stopped fouling us in their own penalty boxes that they’ve been camped in all match.

Stockport County.
Hard fought draw yesterday. Thought Charlton may have been a little more attacking than they were, they played like a small team but I suppose as the away side, they'll be happier with a point.

Anyone else having problems with posting on the forum? Particularly on a mobile?
