Fleetwood have only themselves to blame for losing this. While fortunate to go in at h/t one up, they had a gilt edged chance in the 2nd. Harrison rounded the goalie and lamely shot allowing a defender to clear off the line. Then in the 85th minute Cairns came charging off his line to try, found himself in no man's land, handled out if the area and off. The extraordinary thing is we should be dead and buried with our form, yet with Morecambe losing and the Dons and Gills only drawing there is no change at the bottom. Well, saved that at the death. As it happens no real damage done with Rotherham losing but would have been nicer to be 5 points to the good and not 3. I'm glad to have got that AFC match out of the way with no worse damage TBH.

Wigan nailed on for the title and well deserved. Us and Rotherham still fighting for 2nd or the playoffs, whichevery way you want to look at it.

Fair play Wigan. I felt we started the stronger, looking for that early goal, with Fiorini just firing wide and a fizzed cross across the box from Scully. Wigan then score with their first attack. That could have knocked us, but we carried on plugging away and got fortunate with the equaliser. A long range shot deflected to Scully, who stumbled to start, and then smashed the ball! After this, the crowd seemed up for it and we were looking the more likely for a 2nd. Again, clinical Wigan go up the other end, not sure how it fell to Keane, but he scores. This seemed to completely knock confidence. The crowd fell silent and game limped to HT.

Felt like we should have had a penalty 2nd half at 2-1, but need to see it again. Also felt Wigan's 3rd, Bishop was fouled on the build up. Would have been nice to see us use subs earlier than 12 minutes to go. We had Cullen as the striker, and with Wigan closing us down at the back, launching it long to Cullen got us nowhere! Referee was a nightmare. But fair play Wigan, you looked a good side. Clinical and felt that 2nd goal killed us.

Expected a few more in the away end today. Attendance at 9,500 (including 1,200ish away) meaning approx 800 empty seats. 200 in the home ends, 600 in the away end. Not bad for a pretty meaningless game. Just want to see us mathematically safe now!

Horwich is a great little night out, about 15 pubs. bars and restaurants within 5 minutes walk

EDIT This might confuse people as I realise it is very limited for bars near Bolton's ground. but i am talking about Horwich which is 2 miles from the ground. Away fans never seem to consider going into Horwich though.

Aye, Horwich is decent, just not massively obvious/ accessible if you're coming up from down south on the train.

Great last gasp win again yesterday and thanks to bolton and gillingham getting a point we should have a good chance now of staying in the top 6. Alex Neil has us much more solid and we have once again scored late under him. If only we appointed him straight away instead of fucking about with Keane for a fortneet we might not have lost those games in between against donny etc and could have been in the top two hunt.

Well done Wigan they are all but up imo but wtf has happened to Rotherham, i thought they had promotion sewed up weeks ago. Gonna be an interesting last few games. Sunderland v Rotherham is our re-arranged home game in the midweek before final day so i reckon a few MK Dons fans will be cheering us on.
