I'm fairly surprised though, can't remember the last time we had a home game called off due to a frozen pitch.
From a quick google this is the last one I can find, just over 3 years ago.

I guess with Gillingham, like Orient, the distance the away team have to travel is a factor in being more cautious.

Pitch does look a right state though.

If any Harrogate fans are lurking, that strange thing you can see on the top of the photo is a pitch cover... that other strange thing you may be unfamiliar with is called grass.

Don’t think they have, just a light dusting. Guess it depends on the covers, don’t recall us having any off last season but weather wasn’t as bad from what I recall.

Cant think when the last P-P was at home, sure there was one where we were the only one off in the country though whenever it was!

Tranmere I think 2 season back!

I am in Leicestershire about 50 miles from VP so maybe different there but we’ve had some rain that’s washed the main frost away as it’s crept about freezing so issue will be I imagine tonight when it freezes that rain will turn to ice.
I'm actually quite looking forward to it, so I hope that's not the case. Just seen Vale posted a Tweet of people clearing the pitch, so it's not curtains yet.

Imagine you’ll set off around 10am? So probably be an inspection around then.

Issue will be it’s still to be below freezing at that point. So it’s going to depend on those covers I would say.

It’s not as cold today, most of the snow we’ve got left is thawing.
I can see this being on.
Be 1 nil either way.
Both crap.

I hope the weather prevents the game being played to be honest, we are a 'crock of shit' at the moment (well since mid-October really).

I hope the game is on, we might be shite but this season has a good chance of not finishing, we need to win quickly to avoid going down on ppg

We might not win, but playing Vale at the moment is about our best chance of getting some points this month.

On the one hand tomorrow’s game off saves the stress and allows us time to get the manager sorted.

but as said on the other by the time of the re-arranged game Grimsby might have sorted their shit or be stronger with signings.

Also tomorrow we expect to have most of our key players back who have missed the last 4 or 5 games since Bolton and the likes of Monty and Manny get injured regularly so might be best to play it for us whilst they are available in case they get crocked by the rearranged game!

I doubt they'll start calling games off due to lockdown... not unless they also force offices and other non-essential workplaces to shut down. Most people I know who work in an office are still going to work though some are working from home, most of the non-essential shops I see in town still have staff in them fulfilling online orders too. Wouldn't make sense IMHO to say that while you still have millions of people spending eight hours a day in enclosed offices with no testing, a few hundred footballers who are tested weekly can't spend ninety minutes once or twice a week playing outdoors in a deserted stadium.

Rather not take that risk and hope games are postponed because of the weather until we are safe from a PPG route.

I'm confident with a completed season, Hurst and a transfer window we won't get relegated. At the moment we have a good chance relegation happening if it isn't a full season again.

What's the weather like over in scunny? Game in any danger?
Should be on no issue unless it randomly shows loads tonight or drops to about -5

I've heard that Bolton will be fired up for this. It's THEIR Cup final.
We actually have played in cup finals.....
We like to come down to Exeter every 40 years or so and look around the ground our money helped you build

Don’t be silly their real cup final is whenever they play their massive rivals Manchester Utd.
Cleethorpes v Skegness is the main game on the inbred coast

I am not looking forward to todays game, we are painfully bad.

Bradford will make it 1-0 after about 8 minutes and it will stay like that until they get a 2nd at about the 80th minute. Heard it here first.

Conlon, Worral and Montano return which is a huge boost.

Looks 4-4-2 unless Worrall is playing the middle which is possible. Pope and Rodders up front it looks.

Big talking points from the team is that Tom Conlon has been given the captains armband and Theo Robinson is on the bench seemingly back in under Pugh.

Grimsby looking threatening from out wide so far. Don’t want to give too many set pieces away if the standard of that first delivery from Bennett is anything to go by.
