Not many separate match threads on here recently so stuck it all in one for the weekend (shoot me).

We’ve got Forest Green at home, should be a tricky game but fancy us to get something. Seem to be playing positive attacking football at home so hopefully that continues.

These joint match day threads seemed to have affected the amount of posts on games. I personally preferred the individual match threads.

That's because all the massive clubs with loads of fans have turned out to be shite and can't be bothered to post about football anymore

Salford away. Sparkes suspended and Williams injured, apparently, after tonight's debacle. Lump on them.

At home to Cambridge - I've got a feeling I've not seen us play them for years for whatever reason, so that'll be something.

As for the game - it'll be interesting to see what Duff goes with in terms of a starting line-up. Teams appear to have worked us out, but then we looked back to form last week against Mansfield, although how much that was down to them being poor will be a question.

I think we'll win, but we'll make it look very difficult.

Seems to be talk that our game with Crawley could be called off or played behind closed doors due to some staff unrest? Their press seem to say it’s all rumours and nothing else but a weird one.

If it’s off I demand three points and Worralls ban be downgraded to avoid Cheltenham getting an unfair advantage at not having to face the leagues best crosser and any injured Crawley players be kicked in the shins before any rearranged game and huge air conditioning units be set up to make it feel like December in case Crawley prefer a March Tuesday night weather wise!

On a more serious note wonder what’s that’s all about?

Big match for us today at Colchester. We need to try and keep this momentum going that we've built. Looks like they're quite a good side though.

We don't have a single CM who can play today, meaning a RB and a winger will have to play there. Can't see that going amazingly well.

We have that age-old banana skin - ex-manager coming back for the first time after acrimonious ending. Plus you add Mr Huxtable into the mix... we should win, but I am not confident, especially as we will have two new wing backs today. Nice sunny winters day down here.

Would definitely take a point at Scunthorpe today who have picked up and are on a good run now. We're unbeaten in the league for a while now but hopefully the players won't be playing with one eye on Wednesday night's trip to Man United as today is more important.

Good game to far, Vale have dominated possession and Crawley seem to be set up to play on the counter. We missed a glorious chance they broke and hit the bar! Legge did a superb tackle when Palmer had rounded Brown.

Could go either way this one.

Well that's been coming - the only surprise is that we're only losing by one by the sounds of it.

If only we could be simultaneously good at home and away. Rubbish so far today.

Dominated Cheltenham all half and should be further in front. I can't imagine they will play like that second half so we need to be on it like we were in the first half.

0-0 with Crawley, defensively sloppy and a side who could hit a barn door would have punished us, had chances but finishing was off.

Worralls ban is complete... we’ve missed him!

So frustrating that we didn't manage to win that game.

Thought Colchester were the best team I've seen this season first half but we should've been out of sight. We missed a lot of clear cut chances. When it went 2-0 to us, we looked comfortable. Colchester then score two completely against the run of play and it's level. From then on the game just petered out and nothing else happened.

Watched on ifollow and thought we looked very poor today. Not sure why we can’t beat sides down at the bottom but play well and beat the top sides.

BBC Essex said for the first 60 minutes Scunthorpe were as good as any side we'd come up against this season. Very rare for us to come back from behind, let alone from two down. The last time we came back from two behind was at home to Scunthorpe in August 2015 funnily enough!

Sounded like it could have gone either way after that.

Very much a game of two halves at Sixfields. We had the better of the first and FGR had us pretty pinned in for the duration of the second. Not clinical enough going forward, had some great chances in the first half and missing those nearly came back to bite us.

Us scoring seemed to wake FGR up, as before then they were taking their time with everything and managed to play the referee really well (who was atrocious, especially first half). They play decent football but lacked a bit of penetration, and our 3 centre halves were phenomenal, think they must be up there with the best in the division.

A good, hard fought three points against a decent side

Leon, I usually agree with you, but Carlisle were worse. Morecambe lack any cutting edge going forward, but I thought their overall defensive shape was far less haphazard than Carlisle.

But more importantly, did you let Derek cut the ribbon to the official opening of the new Grandstand?! :ds:

I am a bit disappointed with that result. We dominated for the first 15-20, then it became a bit of a nothing game until the last five or so in the first half I felt against ten men we were not good in the second half - too much sideways passing, especially from Major who flatters to deceive. We just avoided the more direct forward pass, and one of the few times we did in the second half we scored. I just think against stronger sides we would have struggled. We were good for the victory, but it should have been by more.

I thought 19 was Morecambe’s most dangerous player. He did look like bambi a couple of times, but he also looked threatening. It was nice to see Ellison come on and he was moving in a way that you had not been doing earlier. Your goalkeeper made a couple of good saves, but his kicking was the worst I have seen this season, by a very long way. We noted before the match when he was practicing how inaccurate his kicking was - he hit our coaches, water boy and players far more than the other goalie he was aiming at!

The penalty was nailed on, I am less sure about the sending off. It looked like a foul, but I was not 100 per cent. However, I am pleased that the decision was made by the Lino who was one of the best two I have seen at Home Park this year.
