We seem to have picked up the happy habit of not playing well and still winning - especially at home.

Probably saving ourselves for the Bumpkins next week.

0-0 at home against Port Vale sounds like a bad result but for the first time this season we've kept consecutive clean sheets. The new manager has obviously prioritized that over scoring goals. I think it needed doing but will the fans keep with him while it gets sorted? Having said that we did have three one on ones that the PV keeper saved so on another day.... To be honest a draw was about the right result as we should have had a player sent off (he didn't even get a yellow) and our keeper made a couple of good saves in the first half.

In answer to the question about the possible behind closed doors/staff walk out. The operations director was sacked during the week. No reason given. She was the holder of the safety certificate about which there was talk of a problem getting it switched to someone else in time. The back room staff walkout was in sympathy with her.

We host Brighton & Hove women's FC so the pitch does get a fair few games in it though from where I was it looked ok.

Good summary although thought it was a yellow didn’t think he deserved a red (assuming it was the high foot first half you mean). Seemed genuine although seen them given it would be harsh.

Both keepers got man of the match for their sides but was an alright game to watch.

Interestingly we had to quickly get a third goalie kit as ours are the same template as Crawley and the red clashed with their home kit with theirs in the blue one so luckily Errea threw a red one up in quick time which explained why we didn’t wear our away kit that we usually wear against teams not in yellow.

We’ve won 4 and drew 1 of our last 6 away so seem to have sorted the away problems out now but as is typically Vale at home we’ve finally been beaten so a big test next week to ensure it was a one off.
