Missing today as one of my customers has decided to do a major systems upgrade today and I can't get out of work. Popped into the ground yesterday and spoke to the lads and Gary Waddock, all seem confident we can get something, but recognize we need to be less profligate with the number of chances and put more of them away. The pitch is looking absolutely magnificent and as always will suit teams who play it fast on the deck, as I believe both sides like to. If we can do that then we will beat Tranmere, if not, we will come unstuck. We created a host in the first half at Bromley but didn't put them away, and it bit us on the arse. On Monday at Dover we could have been five up at half time but squandered what we created and it nearly happened again. Pretty soon our generosity will be punished.
Hoping we will have too much pace up top for Tranmere, the last time we had a team with pace in it that played against McNulty we ended his Football League career, he was given the run around. But the last couple of seasons he has been immense against us because we've tried play him at his own game. The main difference for us this year is our midfield is as good as anyone's in this division and has already yielded plenty of goals, hopefully today that carries on, if we play with width and pace with Bellamy and Gallagher breaking from midfield we hopefully will have too much for Tranmere, who in the couple of games I've seen of them this year, look pretty static at the back.
Play like the above, I expect us to win, if we don't take our chances it will be tight as we tend to give little away at the back, except from crosses. Should be an entertaining game, going for a 3-1 Shots win.
