At the risk of doing the wrong thing I'm going to start a matchday thread, the first of the season.

On paper this looks like a match up between 2 absolute head fuck football teams. At least our new owners seem to have a plan that isn't to take as much money out of the football team as possible.

Not much to say about our team as we wait for the EFL to lift the embargo so we can recruit a squad. Ben Gladwin on paper seems a good signing for this level if he can remain fit. Youth striker Harry Parsons is literally our only striker but we have a player from Ipswich coming in on loan possibly.

We've sold 500 tickets for the game so far and I know the appetite is good given the recent takeover. Watch for inflatable kangaroos in the crowd!!

I reckon it’s inevitable we start the season Bolton-esque- disjointed and players catching up and getting to know you. Hopefully, as the season progresses we can emulate them with a swift ascent up the table.

Signs are pretty good, I think.

Good to see Swindon bring a good turnout, don't think we will have many there with the general apathy surrounding the club.

I imagine the only atmosphere from our fans will be booing once we're 1-0 down after a few minutes.
