Before we consign the season to the past and look forward have a bash at these:

Club supported Notts County

Best moment of the season: Few contenders here possibly the 4-1 win at Morecambe on Boxing Day or the cup upset to Brentford.

Low point. Losing Yates and replacing him with crap like Virtue and Husin. The defeat away to Mansfield again but probably the home defeat to Crawley with the two red cards was the sign the wheels were coming off.

Best awayday: controversial choice but given the lack of London awaydays but I love Carlisle proper awayday some great pubs in Penrith for the stop old school ground.

Best fans to visit your ground: Luton town came up for a party not a sniff of trouble wished us well in the play offs.

Pantomime villain: any of the officials in our play off games should be disgusted with themselves.

Players you'd drive to their next club: Adam Collin who thankfully we released.

Have you moved forwards? Massively 7 gates over 10'000 in the league is nothing short of remarkable Hardy has done wonders for us and building our support and attracting old fans back down.

Hopes for next season: After a strong season with the same manager beginning and ending a season we have to target automatic promotion. I could see fans turning should we not be competing around Christmas as comparisons to this campaign will be drawn.

Best moment of the season: We had our moments, but never looked like challenging seriously at the top, I'd have to go with our 5-0 away win at Crewe for our best moment.

Low point. There were many, and I seem to have erased them from memory, losing in injury time to 10-man Wycombe was particularly galling though, off the pitch, seeing Nicky Adams limp off with injury in what would prove to be his last game for us is up there too.

Best awayday: I only went to one away game this season, the aforementioned Crewe one, but didn't partake in any of the local delights, so I'll go with Tranmere as one I'm looking forward to having back. Weekend in Liverpool it is (unless they put it on a Tuesday, which undoubtedly they now will).

Best fans to visit your ground: I had massive respect for the Chesterfield fans given the trouble they were in, they brought good numbers and remained noisy throughout.

Pantomime villain: Matt Rhead, anyone who suggests otherwise is deluded.

Players you'd drive to their next club: Richie Bennett, although I think we now have to put faith in him to step up this summer so I'll get behind him, nobody else stood out as particularly terrible.

Have you moved forwards? Nope, well backwards, Attendances likely to fall again next year, budget slashed, no manager, players desperate to leave.

Hopes for next season: That we don't get relegated.

Best moment of the season - Wembley win. Two trophies in two years isn't to be sniffed at!

Low point - In isolation, probably the Colchester (a) and Crewe (h) games, where we were horrendous. Over a longer period of time, we had a run in October where we found goals hard to come by. Just an extra couple of goals in that period may have see us sniffing third going into the final games.

Best Away Day - Only away day I did this season was Wembley #PartTimer

Best fans to visit your ground - No-one stood out that I can think of.

Pantomime villain - Matt Rhead. Always. Honourable mention to Danny Hylton for a horrendous dive in our game with Luton at SB.

Players you'd drive to their next club - No-one's been bad enough to warrant that.

Have you moved forwards? - You have to when you get back in the FL. New training ground in the summer, support still increasing, another decent tranche of cup money this season. Still a bit of catching up to do with other Club's in terms of off the pitch stuff but we're heading in the right direction.

Hopes for next season - We should be in and around it again.

Best moment of the season: Queensy Menig’s last minute winner at home to Blackburn.

Low point. Beyond the obvious final day at Northampton, our non performance away at rochdale a few weeks before was inexcusable.

Best awayday: Blackburn was a good day, as was Portsmouth

Best fans to visit your ground: Always think Plymouth travel well considering they’re in the arse end of nowhere

Pantomime villain: Simon Corney. Asset-stripping and penny-pinching may have been his way of keeping us solvent but his legacy is our relegation. Let’s hope for a brighter future under our new owner.

Players you'd drive to their next club: Perversely, there aren’t that many. Anyone who doesn’t want to be here should go. I don’t think there’s any room for bad eggs this year.

Have you moved forwards? ...

Hopes for next season: The hope has to be an immediate return to L1. A lot will depend on our transfer dealings. No one really knows whether the new owner is wealthy or not so we’ll find out more in the coming weeks. Expectation is probably upper mid table.

Best moment of the season - leaving the ground at 4.50 to get off home

Low point - August-May

Best Away Day - I did enjoy Yeovil mainly because our late winner netted me nearly £500

Best fans to visit your ground - Grimsby

Pantomime villain - Flitcroft- quelle tosser

Players you'd drive to their next club - I'd need a fucking big car

Have you moved forwards? - Your balls are beef

Hopes for next season - The Tanned One should know the dead wood to cut out and recruitment should be better. Another year in L2 doesn't bear thinking about.

Luke imp any plans for Lincoln to expand the ground or even put in extra temporary seating to cope with increased demand?

Been looked at but not allowed due to the foot fall, exits and facilities.

They're changing the lay-out of the Stadium slightly, so the family area is being moved because on midweeks, some don't turn up but the tickets can't be re-sold to another group of people who aren't in the family scheme.

Away fans will always be in the SW from next season, but they'll be a sliding segregation so most teams will be sharing with home fans.

They're putting a few more seats in the Selenity Stand, but not too many more. These were ones that were taken out years ago for something. 100 or so, I think. Not enough, but better than nothing.

Best moment of the season: Thrashing Luton 4-0 at Vale Park, a rare bright moment in an otherwise horrific season.

Low point. The 9 months other than December! The lowest though would probably be the 5- hammering at Cheltenham, really hit home how far we had fallen.

Best awayday: Only went to Notts County and Crewe this season so Crewe as we lost the other! Decent atmosphere from both sides, a real ding dong battle, errors and a stunning goal from Kay, despite their last gasp equaliser it was a decent day out.

Best fans to visit your ground: None stood out, Lincoln probably.

Pantomime villain: Michael Brown! Opposition wise Rhead took some stick being a Sjokie fan.

Players you'd drive to their next club: Most of them.

Have you moved forwards? Hopefully, Aspin had us in mid table form during his reign and five signings so far have shown improvement in key area's such as keeper and energy in the middle, along with experience at the back. I am confident we will be stronger next season so hopefully have bottomed out.

Hopes for next season: Top half after a season of consolidation.

Sorry mate but that was my highlight of the season with Marcus Bean scoring the winner in the 96th minute his first Wycombe goal then running the length of the pitch to celebrate with his parents who had buggered off after 90 minutes

Best moment of the season: Probably the 1-0 win at Chesterfield, which certainly helped push them down, or ending Lincolns unbeaten home record with the same scoreline (though Lincoln was a good day out for the beers

Low point. Basically everything since Flitcroft came in, the dreadful showings, no home wins, lack of tactics, falling out of the play-offs when we were more or less set

Best awayday: I really enjoyed Morecambe last year, last minute winner, drinks in Lancaster before and after the game, totally enjoyable

Best fans to visit your ground: Coventry - Chesterfield, County and Lincoln also sold out the away end, but were all pretty quiet, Coventry sang for the whole 90 minutes, and were a great laugh in the pubs before and after the game

Pantomime villain: Well, from a Mansfield fan, go figure!

Players you'd drive to their next club: Tbh, most of those i'd have got rid of have left, but certainly Jimmy Spencer, who was hopeless

Have you moved forwards? Hard to gauge - attendances were up for the 4th year running, and the league position was the highest in a decade, but at the same time, with the budget we had, it was massively disappointing to finish outside of the playoffs

Hopes for next season: Keep the core of the side that did well, get in a few decent forwards and midfielders, and we should ("should") put more of a challenge in. I don't see any clear favourites this time round (MK would be my bet, I suppose), and Accrington proved that the smallest of clubs can go up right with the correct manager and players.

Best Moment of the Season: Finding out AdamStag lived in/near Manchester

Low Point: Away display at Chesterfield , who lets be honest were a complete shower, yet televised for all to see we made them look more than useful and wrongly gave some Spireite fans hope in an ultimately doomed season

Best away day: Kyoto

Best fans to visit Meadow Lane: split decision between Luton and Cov. But seeing as Luton were there purely for a promotion party , I’ll give it to the more vocal sky blues (both games). Also provided the comical pitch invasion in the league encounter.

Pantomime Villian : Steve ‘Fatty McFat Fat ‘ Evans , as always but he did provide comical moments as soon as he departed up the A60. Silver lining and all....

Players you would drive to their next club. Dickinson (gone), Noble (not gone)!

Have you moved forward as a club?
Leaps and bounds! Significant step forward in the right direction on the pitch with stability, organisation , a plan albeit only plan A and a good Young manager , and a huge leap forward off it. Great buzz around the ground, far greater interaction with fans thanks to social media, more community work, great marketing finally at regular club, attendances highest they’ve been for decades, home support up significantly and more positive news off field.

Hopes for next season: 2 actually useful and not geriatric forwards, a quality loan or two and a chance of promotion again

Best moment - On the pitch the last minute winner at Chesterfield, off it (well he was on the pitch when it was announced) Derry finally getting the sack.

Worst moment - Has to be the 7-0 defeat at Luton but an honourable mention for the 5-2 gubbing at FGR.

Best fans - Few and far between, as always, don't remember anyone being that good at the Abbey but a sold out Sincil Bank was very impressive.

Best away day - Carlisle, always a good laugh, didn't disappoint.

Pantomime villain - This can only be Kevin Ellison right?

Players I'd drive to their next club - A few, probably in this order: Liam O'Neill, Paul Lewis, Ade Azeez, Emmanuel Osadebe, various combinations of excessive contracts and/or lack of ability.

Moved forward? - Since this time last year, no, similar league position but much further from the playoffs, considerably worse financial position, but no doubt we were markedly better the last 3 months of the season under Dunne which was encouraging, the acid test will be whether that was legit or it was just new manager bounce/players playing for their jobs near the end of the season.

Hopes for next season - Naturally I hope we have a tilt at the playoffs but I'd be shocked if we have a top half budget (probably just below) so that will be dependent on the last 3 months being indicative of Dunne's managerial ability, and us having a striker who can get 15 goals, which with Corr and (recently) Jabo's injury history may be dependent on who else we get up top. As always in this league I just hope we're never anywhere near the drop zone.

Best moment of the season - Wembley win. After a 130 odd year wait it was great to see the Imps victorious with Colin Murphy leading out the team.

Low point - Crewe home game was a shocker.

Best Away Day - Crewe away - the result certainly helped.

Best fans to visit your ground - Chelsea U23's :bg:

Pantomime villain - Wycombe and the officials at the home game.

Players you'd drive to their next club - No-one.

Have you moved forwards? - Definitely both on and off the pitch. Off the pitch signs are good with a brand spanking new training ground on the horizon will really help us. Having a proactive CEO is certainly helping and the matchday experience is much, much better. Things can and I'm sure will improve but the Cowley's et al are really professionalising the club, "football fortune" monies seem to be investing in the long-term future of the club which is sorely needed and often overlooked.

Hopes for next season - Same again please with us clinching promotion. Training ground to be up and running and the Cowleys are still here annoying you lot and definitely not making everything about him.

Moment of the Season: Jamille Matt’s injury time winner vs Notts County. To go from safety to needing a win, back to safety within 5 minutes was easily the most exciting and best 5 minutes of the season.

Low point: that 20-game winless run, particularly the 3-0 defeats to Yeovil and Crawley.

Best away day: Notts County on a Saturday, what’s not to like?

Best fans to visit: Port Vale were pretty decent (barring the end of the game)

(Pantomime) Villian: Messrs Fenty and Slade. Fenty for pretty much everything and Slade for just being a useless manager. Stevenage for the opposition.

Players I’d drive to their next club: Nathan Clarke, James Berrett, Sam Kelly (he’s still here)

Have you moved forward as a club: No. We managed to regress from a promising club on the up to a relegation-bound basket case in 18 months. Michael Jolley is now changing that but it won’t happen overnight.

Hopes for next season: I’d be happy with midtable. Anything else is a bonus. Some games where we are better than the opposition for most of the game would be nice.

Best moment of the season: A couple worthy of this list. The late equalisers against Stevenage and Port Vale were up there, but the best for me was the 4-1 win at Lincoln. Totally out of the blue, a stunning performance and blew away a very good Lincoln side on their own patch.

Low point: Again, a few could win this honour. The lowest for me was losing 3-2 at Forest Green. It was a shit journey down there in the car, then we had to stand on an open terrace in the pouring rain, only to see the team lose 3-2 thanks to 2 late goals. Then had to drive back piss wet through. What a miserable experience that was! Honourable mentions go to the 5-0(Carlisle), 4-1(Lincoln) and 3-0(Swindon) home defeats.

Best Away Day: I really liked Barnet's away end. They had a great bar in the stand, the view was decent.

Best fans to visit your ground: Can't really say any stood out.

Pantomime villain: Erm, don't really have one.

Players you'd drive to their next club: Chris Porter, who is unfortunately still here.

Have you moved forwards? Hard to say. We ended the season well and finished with 1 more point than last season, plus 2 places higher. But we ended the 16-17 season in good form as well and it never translated over. It feels like we might be trending upwards, but I want to see some real evidence before getting excited.

Hopes for next season: A comfy mid-table finish would do me nicely. Finish somewhere around 12-15th with 60 points would be a real sign of progress. A season where we can avoid any relegation threads would be most appreciated.

Best moment of the season: As sad as it sounds, probably the last minute equaliser against Luton. One of our best performances of the season and we felt cheated having conceded a couple of mins from time - Scott Flinders' header, nudged in by Will Boyle was fantastic and the very least we deserved from the game,.

Low point: Losing to Forest Green at home - not because it was Forest Green, but because of how dreadful we were. I'm prepared to go out on a limb and say we were worse in that game than we were in the 6-1 drubbing at home to Coventry in our last home game of the season. FGR fans on here have themselves bemoaned the fact they struggle against the press, so what did we do, stood off them. I think we had one attempt on target and that was nothing special. We were dour, and seeing the players down tools like that was inexcusable.

Best awayday: None attended this season unfortunately - the joys of newborn twins last May.

Best fans to visit your ground: For sheer numbers, Coventry. The ones we spoke to in the pub before and after the game were a decent lot as well. The one who thought I was sat in his seat (my season ticket seat, I hasten to add) because he'd been sent to the wrong entrance could also have not been more apologetic.

Pantomime villain: Gary Johnson - it's a big summer for him this year as a lot of fans have turned on him. This season has been crap and he's the only person to blame for it. The fact that he's so patronising to those who dare question him or his methods really doesn't endear him.

Players you'd drive to their next club: Credit to Johnson, he's released the deadwood. As much effort as he put in, Jamie Grimes was useless - some of his errors would make Loris Karius blush. The one on Boxing Day when he literally passed the ball to the Yeovil player has to be one of the worst defensive errors I've ever seen. Back to the Conference he goes.

Have you moved forwards? In terms of league position, yes. As a club, that remains to be seen. A new chairman after Paul Baker stepped down a couple of weeks ago leads us into new territory as he'd been in charge for 21 years. The new man, Andy Wilcox, talks a good game, I just hope he delivers.

Hopes for next season: As always - the playoffs. That's not an expectation, but I think with 7 spots, all teams should at least be hoping for the playoffs.

Best moment
away win at Exeter to go top. Played really well despite an odd team selection and I believed we could be spending the first season in six not fighting relegation and maybe having a tilt at promotion.
October champions.

Low point
the whole of Easter, the wheels truly fell off with a miserable 0-0 against Wycombe, defeat to Accrington, hope of automatics went as did my belief that we'd go up playing like that via the play offs.
Losing Ryan Yates at Christmas, we never got fully over it.

Best away day
Exeter. Day off work, ( Tuesday fixture) warm, seaside, train ride along Dawlish ( I'm a train nerd), great pub in Topsham Bay and a win.

Best fans
Coventry and Lincoln great numbers and noisy, special mention to the taxi full from Crawley fans on a Tuesday with not much to play for, it's a long journey and a big commitment.

Pantomime villain
play off officials were utterly pathetic at Coventry and at our place, literally result changing.

Have we moved forwards.
Yes, by all measures on and off the pitch.

Hopes for next season.
We were ultimately short of class and pace up front and wide this season. So , my hopes are for Nolan to have the funds and use them well to get us two or three players who can score the forty odd goals we've lost in the released player list.

Taxi for....Liam Noble , he's been bloody awful since he came back.

Best moment of the season: Not a great deal to cheer about, probably beating Oldham 3-2 in the FA Cup.

Low point: As shoddy said, probably that Wycombe collapse - conceding 2 stoppage time goals against 10 men.

Best awayday: Only done Swindon and Morecambe in the league, the latter wins hands down. Neither game was great but had a great night in Lancaster (helped by winning over a grand on the national).

Best fans to visit your ground: Nobody really stood out, Oldham were decent in the cup, Coventry were ok at times, Luton too but they weren’t great considering they were sealing promotion.

Pantomime villain: Probably Matt Rhead, had the majority of our fans raging.

Players you'd drive to their next club: Cole Stockton. Useless.

Have you moved forwards? No, very lacklustre season, barely anything to excite fans and attendances and thus atmosphere dropping further and further.

Hopes for next season: Some enjoyable home matches, and an outside shot at promotion.

Best moment of the season: Beating Peterborough while down to 9 men, it's always nice to beat them but getting our own back for when they did the same 4 years ago was nice.

Low point: Pretty much the rest of the season

Best awayday: AFC away easily, 2-0 win and Nicholls saved a penalty. Top night out.

Best fans to visit your ground: I didn't go to many home games due to uni, but the consensus on our forum is that Coventry were the best fans.

Pantomime villain: Robbie Neilson and Steve Crawford, ripped the heart out of the club (in before people say we are a franchise and we have no heart)

Players you'd drive to their next club: Most of them to be honest, but Wootton and Cisse more than most.

Have you moved forwards? Hahahaha have we fuck

Hopes for next season: The optimist in me hopes for a top 1 finish, and we should get that with the budget we have and the size of the club (I know we're MK Dons but we shouldn't be here) The realist however just wants a positive season. Win more than we draw and lose, stop the rot and aim for a top 7 finish at the very least.

:pmsl: forgot he even existed!

Though to be fair it's not unusual for players who sign in January having barely played at their previous club to underperform badly only to look like a different player the following season, so yeah he was pretty poor but I don't necessarily expect him to be the same player come August.

Best moment of the season: Beating Coventry 6-2 at the Ricoh, a game where we seemed to score with every attack thanks to some decent play and some generous defending. Also got to see Biamou score an absolute screamer.

Low point: Losing 8-2 to Luton on the opening day, Way set us up with a suicidal high line, and Isaac Vassell tore us apart, Luton could easily have hit double digits. Loanee Keston Davies lasted until half time before being hauled off never to play another game. What makes it worse is that we took the lead. All round a great way to start the season.

Best Away Day: Barnet or Lincoln, I enjoy my away days to London, and the new stand at the Hive is decent. Lincoln was the best for atmosphere, and a lovely day out to boot.

Best fans to visit you're ground: Given that Yeovil is a pain in the arse to get to, any decent away following deserves credit. But Wycombe were probably the best, good numbers and good noise despite the game itself being absolute crap.

Pantomime Villain: Darren Way, the guy spouts absolute nonsense in his interviews. Never takes responsibility for defeats. Constantly shifts blame onto the players, bemoaning a lack of experience only to release three of the most experienced players. Hasn't addressed issues in the squad like the complete lack of left footed options. His game management is poor so once a game starts to go against us there seems little hope in getting back in it. Whilst there is still a few who support him, I would say the vast majority would be happy to see the back of him, but that isn't going to happen whilst the current board is in place.

Players you'd drive to their next club: Can't say anyone in particular as I quite like our squad despite it's flaws, it's management that could do with a change. But if I had to pick one I'd say Connor Smith, I'm not entirely sure what he does.

Have you moved forwards? Nope, we're still drifting closer and closer to Non-League, just with fewer fans each year.

Hopes for next season: Well according to Way we are aiming for top seven and anything less will be a failure, so that should be interesting. The reality is that unless significant changes are made off the field, then all we can really expect is another season of struggle and the threat of relegation. Oh joy.

Best moment of the season - snapping my Achilles so I had a good excuse to not have to go to Swindon on a Saturday. The end of season was great as well.

Low point - watching Swindon v Wycombe in 50mph winds. Both sides whacking the ball as hard as they could into the opponents penalty area in the hope of a bit of luck. We won the game but it was awful to watch.

Best Away Day - I missed all the ‘good ones’ so I’ll have to go for Stevenage away. I forgot to change my work shoes and thought I would end up with gangreen from the damp and cold. We won 1-0

Best fans to visit your ground - none stand out

Pantomime villain - Flitcroft I guess. Awful standard of football but it kind of worked, wasn’t overly bothered when he went to Mansfield.

Players you'd drive to their next club - take your pick, wouldn’t lose sleep over any of them leaving.

Have you moved forwards? No

Hopes for next season - better atmosphere, better football and less disastrous home performances and results - some hope.

Best moment of the season
- First promotion in 27 years.

Low point - Losing 0-1 at home to rivals Wrexham, despite the Dragons having 10 men for most of the game. (Perversely, losing this match may have helped us at Wembley, with the players knowing it is possible to lose - and therefore win - with 10 men for 90 minutes+). At the time, it left us lingering way down the table.

Best Away Day - Couldn't go, but would be hard to imagine anyone saying anything other than the play-off final. If we aren't counting that, then probably Chester away (allegedly).

Best fans to visit your ground - Ebbsfleet were pretty loud in the play-off semi, but regular season Macclesfield were very good (although didn't bring as many as you'd think).

Pantomime villain - Sam Allinson. Worst referee I've ever seen.

Players you'd drive to their next club - Nobody. Don't dislike any of the players - those released were released for the right reasons and of those left, there's nobody I'd actively drive out of the Club. Some may not be good enough to make the step up, but would be happy for any of them to be given a chance.

Have you moved forwards? - Yes. Undoubtedly, we won promotion, so as a club we've clearly taken a step forwards. We've already lost 13 players since Wembley, with more possibly going, so until the squad takes shape, it's hard to tell if we will continue to make progress on the field. Compared to our last stint in League Two, however, you could get 11 out the stands and it would be a better side than Micky Adams' shower.

Hopes for next season - Better than last time we were here. I won't lie, I am hoping Mellon puts a side together who can replicate his Shrewsbury side, but after 21st, 24th, 6th, 2nd, 2nd finishes in the last 5 years, we're probably due a boring mid-table season and, honestly, that would be OK for a first season back.

Best moment of the season: Hard to pick just one. Probably the 4-1 win v Wrexham in the snow, but honourable mentions go to our last minute winner at Woking and the title winning game at Eastleigh.

Low point. Losing our place at the top of the table in January after failing to beat Solihull and Torquay at home and getting stuffed 0-6 by Fylde.

Best awayday: Hartlepool was a fun one. Good ground and decent day out. Obviously helped that we won 2-1 with two late goals.

Best fans to visit your ground: Maidstone win hands down. Tranmere were ok I guess (although didn't bring as many as you'd think).

Pantomime villain: Dave Winfield of Ebbsleet whose play acting got Nathan Blissett sent off for a non existent elbow. Also referee Paul Marsden for buying it.

Players you'd drive to their next club: All the bad ones have been released already.

Have you moved forwards? On the pitch, yes. Off it, we're going backwards.

Hopes for next season: Mid table obscurity would be lovely. But as long as we stay up I don't really mind.

Best moment of the season - Probably Barry Corr's second goal at Stevenage. Although discovering, on return from the wilds of Myanmar, that we'd not only kept a clean sheet against Lincoln but Derry was out the door as well did cause a small yelp of delight..

Low point - Avoided the Luton and FGR drubbings, so the virtually back to back defeats to Newport was probably as low as it got on the pitch. For all the activity behind the scenes, we bumbled along in mid table from September right through to May with hope and expectation slowly fading until the Dunne inspired upturn at the end.

Best Away Day - Despite our rubbish start, plenty to chose from - especially if you put to one side what went of on the pitch (we only won 4 on the road and I missed the best one at Chesterfield). The season started with an excellent Exeter City/Bristol Rovers double header, with some great birding/photography and decent beer - even though Aber gas cried off on the EFL Cup tie. Our Mutual Friend followed by the return of Barry Corr for the 2-0 at Stevenage was pretty satisfying, as was our youngsters' 2-1 extra time win at Posh in FA Youth Cup but the but the stand out was Barrow's end of season 0-0 at Bromley and the craic with the Barrow Exiles.

Best fans to visit your ground - Luton were fairly quiet and I missed the Lincoln game so I'd probably say Coventry, although Grimsby earn deserved mention, bearing in mind how dire they were on the pitch for most of the season.

Pantomime villain - Plenty of also-rans from the opposition WUMs (on the pitch and in the dug-out) but the honour surely has to go to that pompous prat Shaun Harvey.

Players you'd drive to their next club - There have been a few duds this season and Tom has covered most of them but the only one who's got under my skin, all because of his defensive failings, is the Blessed Medy (Vanni's fave) Elito. Even he's had some good games going forward. Also I dislike his "music"

Have you moved forwards? - Probably gone back to go forwards. Tightening of the ship (hopefully) behind the scenes, with control-freak Jez out the door surprisingly quietly. Cautious optimism with the new first team coach who's not really new but seems to have cast off any lingering concerns about his role in the Derryball years.

Hopes for next season - More serious flirtation with the play offs and the successful development of some youngsters combined with a relatively injury free season for our oldies - Jabo, Fordey and (hopefully) Big Bad Barry Corr with some more cameos. George Maris and Jevani Brown to avoid the clutches of circling agents and waving cheque books for another season.

Best moment of the season: That I witnessed, the win at Luton.

Low point. Most of our home games in 2017

Best awayday: Dartford in the Cup was good, found a nice boozer & the locals were friendly.
Coventry should get a mention, properly good Curry after the game.

Best fans to visit your ground: In terms of numbers Luton, only team over 1,000. Everyone else was much of a muchness.

Pantomime villain: Easy to say Flitcroft after he jumped ship, but he hasn't been back since. For me probably the twat from Cambridge who (after we kicked the ball out for one of our players to get treatment), urged one of his team mates to take the throw quickly so he couldn't get treatment.

Players you'd drive to their next club: There are a few, but Robertson would be top of the list

Have you moved forwards? No, crowds are down & the natives are getting restless.

Hopes for next season: Top 7 is the minimum we should expect.

Best moment of the season - Probably all about equal, doing the double over the champions, winning at Notts County and seeing Lewis Young score his first goal for us at Chesterfield.
Low point - Falling away in March having got in to a good position to go for a play-off spot. Mainly down to an injury to Verheydt and centre half suspenions.

Best Away Day - Chesterfield. Real shame they got relegated.

Best fans to visit your ground - Pass, only got to 3 home games.

Pantomime villain - Josh Yorwerth for us and just a villain - RHEAD!!

Players you'd drive to their next club - they've already left, so none now apart from maybe Cox.

Have you moved forwards? - Yes. It took a while for the Kewell way to bed in but we had a really good 3 month spell round new year.

Hopes for next season - Confounding the bookies relegation predictions again and getting nearer the play-offs.
