The stated aim is Premier League and a 25000 seat stadium full to the brim. Where are those fans supposed to come from in an already saturated market? This is the problem isn't it? There are already too many clubs chasing too few fans. Salford can only be a success at the cost of the clubs around them, clubs which have already built up their fan base the hard way, over the decades. If the FA gave a shit about the game, rather than just half a dozen Premier League clubs they'd be putting a stop to this nonsense NOW!It's an interesting one. Salford have to grow a fan Base from historically not a lot. The low prices and Co92 fan girls will give them decent crowds for now. But if they're not paying much to watch, then they will have to be heavily subsidised. The real tests will come later on. If they can maintain increased crowds when the prices go up to market rate. Teams like Crawley and Fleetwood have had success moving through the leagues but neither has managed to bring in big average crowds along the way. Maybe it won't matter and the owners will happily subsidise for years to come. But it's a very risky game.
