We've poor records at Cheltenham and Grimsby, which I can't see changing and two local derby games. A difficult month.

Wake me up after the next four, which quite frankly is a bit off a piss take run of fixtures. If we're still in the top half after those, we'll be doing well.

Forest Green have some sort of hoodoo over us so we won't beat them and the tinpot vision nonsense club will probably come here and win as well. We'll be up for Tranmere and as Grimsby haven't started well we could get a point out of them as well. We're better away from home I think so the last two games of the month might prove more fruitful for us.

3 home games we should be looking to win really, any dropped points would be dissapointing. I'll take what we can get from the away games as all 3 are tough this month! 10/18 points wouldnt be a disaster.

Pure guesswork again:

Altrincham (A) - W
Dover (H) - D
Macclesfield (H) - W
Woking (A) - L
FGR (A) - L
Tranmere (H) - D

11 points, that should keep us up there.

2 wins and 2 draws getting 11 points? I'll have some of that!

Pretty tough month and we should have a better idea of where we are by end of the month. If we perform as we did at Cheltenham (despite losing) I'm confident we can have a good month and finish with more than the 8 points I have predicted.

Last month I predicted part time Welling fixtures, and got a very impressive, if I may say so, 5 correct results out of 7. So I thought I should aim higher and try my luck with a full-time side this time

Boreham Wood (A) - Who? 3 easy points in the bag. 4-0 WIN
Aldershot (H) - Another easy win. 2-0 up by ht, 3-0 by full-time WIN
Chester (A) - Slightly hard this one, but I still expect Hurst to outwit Burr. 2-1 WIN
Tranmere (H) - This one couldn't come at a better time with Rovers in free fall. Comfortable 2-0 WIN
Wrexham (A) - Hmmm, they're managed by this arms aloft guy who has gone on record saying he's looking at promotion this year. Dunno, head says a loss, heart says win. I think I'll go for a 1-1 DRAW, which should be more than acceptable I guess.
Southport (A) - Relegation fodder year in year out. They can park the bus all they like, we've played them so many times over the years I'm sure Hurst has already worked out the tactics needed to get the win. A hard-fought 1-0 WIN

16 out of 18
and those cruel anti Hurst fans can go to hell.

Finally get a response for this poor run. More missed chances and silly errors will see us drop points but going to dig deep for some optimism and predict an unbeaten month. 12/18 points.

Spot on. Happy with that.

12 points from 6 games this month, not a bad return. Southport the only real disappointment as we gave them a head start.

Would be pretty happy with 11/18 and would see us still very much up there. How quickly Ricketts and Yakubu return is crucial though.

Yesterday ruined what had been a decent month up until then, 9/18 isnt the end of the world but yesterdays performance is concerning. Also conceding 2+ goals in 4 of the 6 games is a problem we need to sort fast.

Even yesterday's win isn't inspiring much confidence.

Well my predictions were pretty off but we did end up with more points than I expected. 3 wins and 3 losses pretty much sums up how terribly inconsistent we are and how a game goes entirely depends on which Macclesfield Town turn up.

September always looked a tough month on paper and it proved to be. Injuries really started to take their toll on our young, inexperienced side. An 'easier' but important month coming up.

Really should have been four home wins, they amount of chances we had in the two draws.
14 goals so far from Rhead and Hearn not bad considering how many games Hearn has missed, keep them two fit and firing you never know.
