Same, not sure if I'd be allowed to expand on the question if I wanted to so leaving it as is.

Fair enough! I just hope that this would be a better round from me this time.

No need to expand on it any further Hodge. Questions in Sheep have always been open to any interpretation, the person answering them comes to.

That was my understanding, so I tried to include a few questions where interpretations were needed. I did say if I wanted to as I wouldn't have expanded on it anyway.

I knew it was a bad round, but that was exceptionally bad!

Made a big mistake with the X Factor/Big Brother answer. For some reason, I thought everybody had moved on from big Brother and now THE reality show was X Factor.

I have an announcement to make anyway.

Like Ali in 1979, Best in 1984 and Schumacher in 2006, all great things must come to an end. After 15 seasons, 8 sheep titles, a spot in the hall of fame and many, many hours of fun and friendly competition, I am announcing my retirement from the Sheep game at the end of this season.

The last 2 years have been great, and Sheep is without doubt the greatest forum game that has ever been played on either the old site or this one. It's been a pleasure being part of it, but now it's time to hand over the mantle of being favourite every game to TCM and Hooray.

I may well still run a season in the future, but a recent promotion at work is taking up the majority of my time, so it may be a few months!

I wish you all the best of luck for the rest of this season (which I will continue to play in), and for future seasons!

Sheep is so time consuming what with having to find 10 minutes every 3-4 days to send in 10 answers.

Scaredy cat.

Cards, mate. Are you doing as I think??? you said you would, and picking up the gameweek to week running of the cup and plate. Can't really have a season without them, as they stand as many people's best hope of getting their hands on a piece of Silverware.....

Would be great if you could pal?

Yup, I think Tom put that question forward when he ran his season. Fortunately I can remember the top answer.

Cardsfan what did you do with my answers when you edited them? You've not included them here.

Well fuck me. One question screwed me up in that last round... the fucking trains one. Nobody would have called that being so one sided toward Virgin trains. I got an ace with cross country. Virgin got 35 points... 35 points on top of what I had would have had me joint first. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU. This is why I don't play sheep often.

Normally the first cup round is done in groups, I thought it would be fairer to just send the top 16 through, the second 16 to the plate etc. The scores are totalled after this round and the next.

Cards, just curious how you've worked out that you'd have scored 229.5??

You've scored 169 and 109 in the 2 rounds you've competed in, so factoring in another 169 (your highest thus far this season) and averaging that out only comes to 149??

Even upping your possible score from your own round to the median score(213) only leaves you averaging 163.

Not being pedantic mate, as I'm nowhere near, hanging about in the bottom third. Just interested to hear what method you've used to score yourself.

We agreed that whoever ran a round got a 5 point bonus so I took an average of the people who scored 4 and 6 points

I'm guessing it's his average from the first 2 rounds
That would have been the fair way to do it. Then take the median score from last night and divide by 3.

That's the super cool bonus for your time, and for running the round though mate. You also score your average for the entire season for the round you ran, so should really be worked out on averages. See my edited post above.

Thoughts, fellow Sheepers??
