Just got back. Frustrated isn't even the word.

We can play a lot better than that, Armstrong was pretty quiet as were Murphy and Kent. If we are to challenge for the top two we need to start performing away. I would start playing Tudgay or Fortune alongside Armstrong for the away matches, previously we have done well with one of the two playing up top.
It could have been a different game had it gone down to 10 and/or the goal had been given.

Sheffield United were pretty poor I must say, however this league is so weak, they will be in the play offs come May.

Away from the football, the scoreboard at Bramall Lane is awful, 90% of the time they showed silly Adidas adverts instead of the score and more importantly the time.

Not clearly over the line as Birtles said but a penalty should have been given for the handball that propelled it goalwards. Sheffield United stuck at it (being kind) but you'd struggle to say they deserved to win that.

They shouldn't have had eleven men on the pitch after that awful tackle in the first half.

I will take that win and just hope it kick starts our season a bit before the January transfer window where I hope Adkins gets rid of most and brings in a whole new batch of players but that wont happen.

Ref I just thought was woeful full stop for both teams, McEveley should have been sent off no doubt but it was the little challenges one minute Blades would get punished for a minor tap then Coventry player would do something similar and nothing given but it was like that all game for both, inconsistent and just shite to be honest which spoilt an already poor spectacle.

For the ball over line incident if the referee or linesman can't be 100% sure then they will not give a goal so fair enough.

As for us we are shit, we have no pace, strength or height in team and lack any cutting edge going forward ! This squad needs a major clearout and can't happen quick enough !

Only players I would keep would be Long, Basham & Sharp, all rest can move on, we will not get out of league one with the current squad.

Long has potential and is still a mile better than worst shot stopper ever Mark Howard.

Sharp will come good and was lucky yesterday but was in right place at least to add to his tally.

If we can improve squad and improve service and quality to striker then the goals will come, until then we will struggle.

Before yday he had scored 1 goal in 14 matches hes wank. I agree that longs a better shout than howard still not good enough though.

Sharp has admitted himself he has not been good enough so lets hope been dropped was wake up call he needed.

Long will be worth keeping for long term as he is young and will develop into a very good keeper over time, we could sign better of course for immediate to help us get promoted but sorting the lack of athletic players in our team should be a priority in January !
