Overpriced, loads of people, vomit everywhere and sticky floors is my experiences of it. Needless to say, I don't go out on NYE.
Wetherspoons pre-drinking, don't mind crowds and it'll probably be me vomiting if last year's anything to go by haha. I'll go out for it but still make my way to Villa, probably wouldn't have bothered had it stayed a 3pm.

Yeah our game vs Sheff Wed on Saturday 16th December now moved to the Friday night slot. Bristol City game moved as mentioned above too, which means our 3pm NY's Day fixture at home to Brentford is now on the 2nd Jan and 7.45 kick off. Fuck off Sky.

Ours only got moved back on the same day, how come you're the next day is that on TV as well?

NYE is a cracking night in town isn't it? Only ever been to house parties before this year and they've been brilliant.

Depending where you are, rammed to the point you can't move, takes an age to get drinks and expensive as hell. Best ones for me was just having a group of mates over.

It's not on TV which makes it even stranger. Hate the fact that a majority of our games are switching to night fixtures...

Sheffield Derby on a Friday night, everyone will be on the ale from dinner time. Be better off having on a Saturday 3pm, carnage.

Agree, the pre and post match trouble will be off the scale.
Not sure how it can be policed properly with 1000’s of rival fans drinking together in loads of city centre pubs. London Road could be like a battle zone.

Will gaurantee and really fantastic atmosphere tho (up there with the best of the season for Sky).

“ London Road” ? How so, Wednesday fans won’t go anywhere near ? Besides police have ordered the boozers around there to close. West Street may be a different story. There’ll be the usual Friday night in town with thousands of punters so not sure football fans will be that conspicuous.

Team fighting at the bottom v one at the top is a reasonable pick imo, much better than 16th v 14th that we had to endure on saturday

Leeds vs Cardiff and Wolves vs Sheff Utd that weekend, the latter being the Saturday evening game.

They've always fawned over us whenever we've been on but they're so far up Lee Johnson and Steve Lansdown's arse it's ridiculous. 9 games on in 8 weeks if we beat United next week.

May as well stick it as a couple of hundred for each in the away attendance thread now, works for me though now being able to watch them.

Depends what team they field, if they go with the one they played in the last round we have every chance at home.

I hope you beat them but I think he should field a strong team. The title is over , no Europe till Feb so he may as well do.

so do I but Premier League clubs rarely do, we shall see. I doubt we'll even play the strongest side available to us.

I doubt it, we don't need more injuries from a cup game, squad's on its arse as it is. Was our first time in the last 16 for 30 years last season and he made 9 changes.

Don't mind the 5:30 kick offs on Saturdays, or the Friday nights as you can get a good sup in. The only ones I can't stand are the Monday nighters, early Saturdays and if we ever get to the Premier League the Sunday tea time slot is horrendous.

Any Sunday game is shite. Can't see you needing to be concerned about a super Sunday game though In the near future
