I think you would struggle to find someone who isn't pleased. That said everyone needs to accept that the club he is going to manage is a completely different one to when he was last there. The club is on it's knees and he will never have the relationship with Azheem that he had with John.
I really hope he can turn the club's fortunes around, but we may have to accept that this has been so badly mis managed in the last 3-4 years (and that these people are still calling the shots) that it may take more time than the fans realise.

Gary Waddock confirmed as our new manager - get in! Finally a managerial appointment I feel optimistic about and the board have listened to the fans. It's a totally different club now to when Waddock was last here but the most important thing is he'll play a brand of football that'll bring fans back and that's the priority.

Initially I wasn't too sure about us going for Waddock, purely because of this thing about never going back and the fact that people will compare his second stint to our first one but having had time to think more about him coming back I think its a good decision - listening to Gary's interview you can tell he loves the club and wants it to work, plus its almost certain we will attack at home which we haven't always done over the last 6-7 years. Also in the short term I expect season tickets should sell well and with Waddock in charge I would be disappointed if we didnt get 2000+ home fans for his first game at the rec next season. I also think the fans will give Waddock time if it doesnt start well - we are not in the same position as we were in 2007 and we certainly wont be walking the league next season as we did in Gary's first season.

One other thing I liked from Gary's interview is his attitude - the budget is what it is and we'll see where it takes us.
