Just listened to what is a decent interview actually by Justin Allen with Ricky Miller, which certainly is a long way from his normal ones with Pogba, Wilshere and Co, and the lad comes over as quite witty.

Some of the interesting snippets included the fact that in his opinion FGR will piss the league (not sure if Kinnear would agree with that one) and even if it was said slightly tongue in cheek (which it didn't sound like to be fair) when asked about his mooted shift sideways to Lincolnshire, he responded with "Why would I, we are better team than them!" :brill:

Rather rules out a January move up there then doesn't it?

I don't know how to cut and paste a link with the Sun's feature writer or I would, worth a visit though

I doubt if, or when, Miller leaves Dover that it will be for another National League team. From the little I have seen, not being as well placed as Dover fans to comment on his ability, I think he will jump at least one division when he does go. Not sure that I agree with his comment about my team either.

Next 10 games will tell us so much about fgr, 20+ points and the leagues is there for the taking,
15-20 they will be strong contenders but catchable,
Less then 15 welcome to our world of mere mortals

A better team than FGR he says?

Dover 8th, FGR 1st. Story checks out.

You're right, the comment was about Lincoln. He said FGR are mustard and will piss the league.

Pretty much confirmed we can't afford to keep him and he wants out, although not until the summer it would appear

I think FGR will win this league and with the money they have could very well do reasonably well in the 4th division. Top half at the very least. But can't see them progressing much further than that. They do not and will probably never have a fan base to help them rise up the football league. Before the FGR fans moan about attendances or lack of attendances, Dale Vinces money will not be enough for the club to progress up the divisions. I actually think this is where his interest may wane and can see him moving on to pastures new.
I may be wrong though -- But I doubt it.

Hilariously, FGR's attendances for this year are actually DOWN on last year. Brilliant. Such a deserving club.

Whereas ours are nearly up 32%? Though the Eastleigh fan will probably think it's up by about 320% to justify the thousands we spend on our top players every week!

Just shows what the Cowleys effect can do to a club.

Ours are up 29% too.

Just goes to show what good attacking football does.

They are currently down on the WHOLE of last seasons average, but that means fuck all. Lets see how they compare AT THE END of this season, I think you'll find they'll be up. Again. Even without Cheltenham.

Our last 2 home gates, v Barrow and Guiseley, 2 sides who didn't bring that many, drew in a combined total of just under 4000. Could be another 2000 odd gate on Saturday too.

FGR don't have have any local derby games this season.
Last season we had Cheltenham, which was a sell out crowd, and the season before it was Bristol Rovers.
Removing those games from our average attendance, FGR are attracting more fans to TNL.
We still await the arrival of some big city sides with good away support such as Tranmere or Wrexham.
Of course Grimsby have also gone and they had massive away support, increasing the attendance averages for every Conference club.

Let's face it if FGR don't win the league it has to go down as massive underachievement. Again.

A move for Miller was always on the cards, especially given his recent comments. He obviously sees us as a much more attractive proposoition then Lincoln, which is nice...

Not sure Dover will sell him though, they've got a real chance of promotion with him which wuld be worth a lot more to them then whatever transfer fee they might get.

This is the season for only proper clubs to get promoted. As Wrexham are approaching oblivion that only leaves ourselves and Lincoln.

Ronnie Moore probably has money only us to win the league anyway.

The timing is shrewd they know FL teams can't bid until January, and FGR will know that. Hopefully JP's no means what it says on the tin, and if the so called champions elect (said loosely) want to join the queue after Xmas, then let them.

I would expect Miller to stay with Dover for the remainder of the season, and to continue banging in the goals, maybe take them into the play-offs, then see how the land lies. If Dover managed to get promoted then he might stay, but if his contract is up then he can negotiate a contract elsewhere, having scored a hatful of goals.

We've lost our local derby in Grimsby and our most local is now NFU!! Next nearest after that is Macclesfield!!!
Our crowds are up 30%...
