Great away win for us that is, it doesn't matter what kind of form either side is in, Southend ALWAYS beat us at Roots Hall, I can remember some horrible scorelines and match reports so it's actually refreshing to not only get a good result but keep a cleansheet and play well. Sounds as though we rode our luck late on but Super Tom's turn and 'lethal' finish set the home side back early on. Nice to see someone else get on the scoresheet, it's been a while coming from Mantom and a talented player like he is should be scoring at least 5-8 goals per season.

373 Saddlers, not a bad following for a club of our size. Couple of very hard games coming up this week away at 2nd in the table Rochdale and then home to in form Coventry next Saturday, hope we give them a good game in both instances.

We were shite today. In fairness to Brown his come out and said he got selection completely wrong (he did) but big improvements needed for next 2 tough games.

Walsall were good. I hope that their standard isn't that of bottom half teams, otherwise we could be in trouble. Very busy midfield and good strikers, looked ropey at the back though but we didn't play well enough to take advantage.

We got plenty of good players, Brown needs to stop being 'clever' and start picking the best team. I think we'll be fine. Will get worse before it gets better though as we never do anything at Doncaster and Swindon will be tough next week.

Walsall are one of the better midtable/bottom half teams. They are well organised and like to try and play football, they lack a cutting edge which is often their downfall. If they could get a few more players to chip in with goals and support Bradshaw better they could be play off chasers.
