Mansfield have definitely got similar problems to us the year we went down, expensive squad, one of the favourites, but something clearly isn’t right.

you can add Bradford City to the list of really bad teams too - they had 1 shot on target in each half yesterday and i think 3 shots in total - McCall will be sacked if they don't beat Southend.

It's no fun at all. Hardly anyone goes straight back either. Tranmere need two seasons as did Orient . You don't have your TV money in the second season. The good thing fixtures wise is you have local derbies over xmas and new year. So Dagenham it is. Also you have an early round of facup qualifying.

Bradford City are more like Notts County than Mansfield are in my eyes, as Bradford were actually decent last season. Mansfield were shite last season so this season they would be more like Port Vale (if they survive this season) or Yeovil (if they do not) the season Notts County went down.

Seeing as we'll be playing in this division - what do I need to know? Tough? Fun? Hopefully have some derbies or local teams?

It's a lot easier to stay up than get back up. Once that sinks in the owners should do everything possible to keep you up. If you go down there's less money from gates, advertising, other commercial and TV. You basically cut your cloth , haemorrhage money or get wealthy owners who can keep subsidising for as long as it takes to get back, I think the average is four seasons, although Wrexham are wrecking that statistic and are the salutary tale that none of us want to be.
You can be really crap and stay up, we were on and off for years but the club can't be a shambles off the pitch, that's what does for most of the clubs that fall out the league. If the owner runs out of money or is a bit of a crook / egotistical maniac then you're probably done for.

Big December ahead of us, where we play Stevenage, Scunthrope, Grimsby, and Mansfield, all teams in and around the relegation zone. If we can't win any of them then we are all but down.
