Let's hope your ticket office sold 800 tickets and not 1000. They cocked up the allocation we gave them and announced 1000 tickets were on sale with specific limits for adults, kids and concessions. That's incorrect. They were given a range of tickets - as requested - so they didn't run out of a particular type but only 800 can be sold..

We tried to contact them yesterday after their announcement went live and finally spoke to them this morning, but their social media is still pushing out the same line and the news article hasn't been updated..

"We have been given an overall allocation of 800 tickets which is split into 525 for adults, 150 for concessions and 125 for under 18s"

Looks fine to me. Why don't you sell online anyway?

They've amended it now. Your club wanted to sell them directly to you, they made the request. You need to ask them why they didnt sell them online.

Do Wealdstone have space, time and resources to maintain another beef?

Why on earth did Wealdstone FC agree for Southend United to sell the tickets. You won't have that money for a while. The past 3 seasons I have had such issues with Southend and my away tickets. I don't live in Southend and either get them posted to me (or not, numerous times) or pick them up at grounds, again not on 5, yes 5 occasions two seasons ago when they hadn't sent them on.
I've got money owed, which should be on account, from unused away tickets due to the 2019/20 season being cancelled. I'm already looking forward to the arguments I'm going to have with the morons who work for the club.

For any other club out there, sell the away tickets your end, you'll get the money without the hassle of having to deal with Southend United.

To be fair I’ve had money on my account with Southend for 18 months and they ponyed up immediately whenever I wanted it. The ticket office have been really good this year as well . Both on the phone and in person .. if you go down there at opening time for Wealdstone tickets then there will always be a queue
rock up at 3 pm and there will be no one there and funnily enough still 200 plus tickets left.
it’s not Man U in the league cup any more !

Another Southend fan was saying as the tickets are general allocation there is no seating or standing in general. It's whoever gets there first gets a seat etc.

Anyway 150-ish adult tickets left before general sale

That’s correct. We don’t charge extra for seats.

Has it been confirmed yet where the Southend fans will be segregated within the ground? With 800 tickets on sale, I'm assuming they'll get the whole far end with the seated stand, Couch Corner and open terracing on the side?

For Wealdstone? They allocate a certain amount for adults?

At Southend's request, for example Woking could purchase whatever type of ticket up to the 400 capacity. To quote BornUnderTheElmslie above - "They were given a range of tickets - as requested - so they didn't run out of a particular type but only 800 can be sold.."

Tbh, I've never thought about this before. So what they've done is sent an excess of each type of tickets trusting Southend to only sell a combined total of 800? Is that how it usually works? I've never heard of sub-allocations within an allocation before.

Sounds like it and it's never something I've seen us implement before so don't expect this to be something that takes place throughout the course of the season. Southend to their credit have capped tickets with the breakdown provided above for adults, concessions and under-18's. With Grimsby being Tuesday night, I don't think you'll have an issue getting an away ticket online via our ticketing partners.

Oh yeah agreed, a Tuesday in October should be fine I'd have thought. I was asking about it more as it's something I've never even considered before.

Incidentally, I just checked the journey from my house to your ground and door to door it's about an 1hour 15mins. Pretty sure that'll come in as my easiest/quickest trip of the season.

There was never any intention to cap the number of adult tickets Southend sold (for example). We just gave them a mix of adult, child and concession tickets as requested and enough to ensure they didn't run out in any category, and they then decided to publish exactly how many of each type they received!

They could have sold 800 adult tickets as far as we were concerned - it would have been very unlikely to not have any demand from concessions or kids, but the only constraint was 800 in total.

I wonder if already things off the pitch have impacted this lot, wouldn't be surprised to hear August wages are late.
Interesting to see Mark Oxley said in a Harrogate programme interview the main topic of conversation on the Southend team coach over the past couple of years was whether the players and staff would see their wages during the month.
It's alright Phil Brown going on about attitude and heart but if you've got to deal with Ron Martin for even a short period of time it'll take more than a 10km run and a rant to get some effort out of them.

I'm not willing to travel down to Torquay to support this club currently and I'm only off to other aways for the groundhop so hopefully be at Solihull where I'll see what the mood of the players is and whether they'll say anything about why there's been such a drop off in effort and ability since the early weeks of the season.

Oh and talking of Solihull they've made the poor decision to let Southend sell the away tickets, clearly they don't desperately need any money during October.

Agree KM , it’s been hard but better than Bury or Macclesfield fans have had to put up with. Tuesday night loads of people were chanting Martin out ( to those not in the know our chairman ) yes please go , but unfortunately there are not
many people who wish to pay out their own pocket for a National League club ( any offers welcome)
Martin has allowed Phil Brown to sign many players, unfortunately most aren’t good enough, like the manager who many fans didnt want back.
Yes things are bad and will continue, the best way to cut a club’s income and not get your wages ( although wrong ) is to be shit , our team is doing well at that. I just hope we manage to stay up. How sad that many clubs with a loyal fanbase suffer the same. Up the blues and real football supporters .
Would ask how’s the best way to get out this league but didn’t take long to realise everyone has thought that over the years, good luck everyone,

For all the comments when we signed Harry Lennon, I'd just like to report that he has been excellent. Weve had to manage his fitness given how long he's been out so he hasn't played every game but when he has played he's looked an excellent defender at this level, unflappable and good on the ball,
