Just a quick update on where we are. The SLSC is now ten members strong and growing by the hour. I urge any true football fans who haven't yet signed up, to join us all in our quest to rise from the very bottom to the top.
Unfortunately last night's game was a bit of an early set back, but with 2 key players missing through being out on the piss with their mates, we have to take into account what a decent overall performance it was. Individual errors by Kingy cost us the game, and I assure you all he'll be in for extra training for the rest of the week.

The first newsletter of this season will be published on Saturday, with features ranging from pen-pics and detailed individual bio's, to a report from last night's game at The Bamber Bridge 3G Stadium. It should be a great read and a fillip for all future members.

In these early days of this clubs phoenix like rise to the top, I must urge for calm amongst our growing support. To be calling for our Club Owner and chairman Mr.R.Cranium's head after one bad result is not the right way to go about things. We here at the SLSC like to think we aren't quite as uncouth as all that. Dickie Cranium is a personal business associate of mine, and I assure all supporters that he only has the best interests of SLFC at heart.
I have however asked Club Captain TomPNE to have a word in Kingy's shell like, and tell him that those sorts of performances in the future will not be tolerated by fans, and directors of Sporting Leyland FC.

News on our new Managerial position should be included in the Newsletter. We currently have one outstanding applicant, none other than the outstanding Joejoejoejoe who has achieved great success with Coventry on Football Manager. What a coup it would be if we could get him to see the blueprint for success we have here,and for him to buy into our ideology. Other applicants are still being welcomed but the King of Cov is looking the clear favourite for the job.

Apparently I am the best player apart from those 2 (I don't think I am) but I am massively unfit. Sam is decent

Their keeper was MOTM and he works at the same place as me so tomorrow will be annoying.

A decent first match and something to build on with our 2 best players still to come back.

On a personal level I played the whole game #fitnessgoals and got my first goal of the season!

Don't you worry about us. Dickie Cranium has an endorsement lined up, and is in talks as we speak this evening with potential sponsors.

He's emailed me a business card template, and I'm currently discussing the club logo that will adorn the cards, with a leading Kurdish graphic designer.

Not to mention our upcoming website that Dickie and Stagsforlife are currently researching.

We're a professional outfit, nothing like those amateurs at Sporting Lemon.

I would just like to keep all 14 (You read that right FOURTEEN!!!) members of SLSC up to date with a few of today's goings on, that have gone unmentioned as Dickie Cranium has been hard at work securing us a new Club House, and 2 very prestigious sponsors, in Inch's and FlyLo.
This is testament to all the hard hours of time and work that Dickie puts into this blossoming Football Club, so first of all I'd like to thank Mr.Cranium for all he's accomplished today.

On the news front we today finalised a contract with our new Manager. It's taken some negotiations to get the deal right for both parties, but today we accomplished that. In giving in to some of his demands for travel and accommodation expenses to be met by SLFC, he then produced a Blueprint for the first 5 seasons. With promotion to Div1 an aim for yr3, followed by consolidation in yr4, he's set his sights very highly and wants us competing in the lower reaches of the Lancashire 6-a-side league by the start of the March 2020 season. A huge step up from the Preston league, I think you'll agree, but a dream nonetheless and one that is shared by both us at the club, and our new, forward thinking manager.
He brings with him considerable FM achievements that are seemingly unrivalled, at home and abroad. We're very lucky to be working with him and an official Press Conference where both The Lancashire Telegraph and Lancashire Evening Post will be attending, has been set for 10am on Saturday morning.

We are also on the lookout for a Director of Football, to form part of our new management setup so please, please get your applications in, and we'll appoint a DoF as soon as possible, and if the right man or woman for the job is found. We here at Sporting Leyland have no sexual prejudice at the football club, so although extremely unlikely to end up in a job as important as the DoF they will be considered for kitchen work, and secretarial duties,kit washer etc, so female applicants are actively encouraged by all at SLFC.
