I can see us fielding a very young side here - Won't be suprised if we have a load of mystery injuries either, we will no doubt get battered. I can't see a Steve Evans team being unprofessional and letting a Clown College full of amateurs beat them.

5-0 Mansfield. We rarely venture past the halfway line these days as well.

I enjoyed his "one of the best squads in the division" quote. Was he looking at a team sheet from August when Simpson, Cox, Cornick and Clohessy were all still at the club?

Kashket, a fit Kelly....

Can't see anything other than a Mansfield win.

I can see an Orient loss, if that helps.

Think Kashket has only come to the fore since he left, to be fair. Highlights the paucity of options we have now. We've essentially replaced Cox, Cornick, Simpson, Kashket and Bowery with Ulrich N'Nomo and four youth team players.

But at the same point for Kashket to have done as well as he has at Wycombe he must have had something about him in the first place, he's not going to have randomly improved 10fold after leaving - which makes Nolan's actions/ comments even more befuddling.

I honestly don't know what Orient's best team is currently, there's so many different formation variations and all of them look dreadful. Mezague played the majority of last season infront of the defence for Standard Liege, I'd be tempted to chuck him infront of Erichot and Parkes for that bit more protection and camp everybody else back and wish upon a star for a 0-0.

Yet again we find ourselves playing a side who has found some form in recent weeks. A few months ago Mansfield were as poor as us, now this will be an easy home win for them.

Not making excuses, as we would lose against teams on shocking form right now, but it gets frustrating.

I'll be in Nottingham this weekend and I'm still not going to the game.

3 - 0.

Down we go.

I know what's coming here...

Whenever we play someone on a crap run, we always fail to win.

Added to the fact we've done a Ticket offer.

1-1

Reasonably confident about this one (famous last words). Will we see an appearance from Ollie 'Goal-Machine' Palmer or is he out of the picture?

Who knows? Allegedly he's been told he can leave, but then so have four others that may or may not be leaving. No idea what side we'all put out today, though hopefully Sam Dalby will be fit and Palmer won't even make the bench.

This is usually the sort of game Stags like to fuck up, and we do have a incredible habit of helping clubs that are in poor form.

No excuses though and we really should be winning this.

Three transfer-listed players in the starting line up, with five youth players and Ollie Palmer on the bench. Happy days.

Felt for Orient a bit today. Could see they were trying but there was only one team in it. Look like one of the favourites for relegation if nothing changes.

Things may well change. Nicky Hunt could go to Notts County. Alex Cisak and Ollie Palmer are transfer listed.

Oh. Incomings? Lol.

Nicky Hunt would be a loss, sooner Palmer is not taking wages from you the better though.

Would be a shame for a club like Orient to drop down to a level where the league administration has to send threatening letters out to clubs who have grounds unsuitable for the level. It appears that it is very likely at the moment though

Why would orient let hunt go to county? You'd be better letting him rot in the reserves, had an alright game today.

Orient were nearly, nearly as shit as Notts county, you gave it a good go but didn't manage to be as bad as them

From a MansfIeld perspective it reminds me how bad we were to have Palmer as a starter, wow he's shit.

As for the game, once the first goal went in it that was it, we should and could have had more, but the win was comforting - especially when we've a Pearce running off for a shit twice in a game!

Whisper it quietly, but the playoffs aren't far off - the game at Barnet next week is a massive

Cos Becchetti has essentially pulled the plug.

It's what I don't get about chairman who want to make money out of the club. Like us when we were promoted to league 1 in 2002 - our much hated ex chairman (still is hated) had somehow provided a manager and a team to get us up there - crowds were averaging 5,000 - we needed the short term investment in defence and we'd have been fine. He didn't and never made what he could have done - though he was a wanker of the highest order. We ended up being destitute in the conference by the time he finished.

Whereas those words won't make you feel any better, I'd like you to know that you're not alone, it's unfortunately happened before is happening now to sides like Coventry and blackpool and will happen again - as the FA are a bunch of old spineless wankers. I and other Mansfield fans have been here, and I genuinely wish you all the best for what it's worth.

Apparently our first choice CMs injured each other in training this week so we are praying they recover in time. Should be a good game with our Spainiard who played in America with Henry and Raul making his debut.

It'll be an interesting one that's for sure.

We appear not to be the only "smaller" side going for it. Barnet and Mansfield on the charge!

It was a similar situation when we went to Cambridge and won 3-1. I was totally surprised after going 1-0 down.

The midfield with Byron and whitehead is certainly a different animal. Either way, though we're on a good run at present, it's important to remember we all go on a good run throughout the season and all go through one that's not so smart. Take each game as it comes and go from there.

From an oppositions perspective, it's nice to see Barnet fans having a bit of fun and enjoying things for a change, apart from the conference title, you've had it a little rough for the last decade or so.

The game went as I expected, we sat back and Mansfield should've scored more. We didn't have a clue going forward - I felt sorry for our two strikers as they had next to nothing to work with all game. As soon as we concede first, we don't look like getting back into the game as the players heads drop.

Did Kristian Pearce really have the shits?! To see him run off the way he did first time was strange enough, but to do it a second time - And in the away end toilets was unbelievable! :2thumb:

The sad sight at the end of Paul McCallum screaming in pain again and in tears as he was carried off with probably another ACL injury on the same leg as he did last season was not a nice one. We now only have one striker - Yes ONE striker and its Ollie Palmer, our owner will not bring another player in. We're as good as down. Mainly due to Becchetti, but the last 4 performances under Edwards have been poor, todays "effort" was as bad as anything Alberto Cavasin served up in his ten games.

Mansfield will no doubt be contesting a playoff place, if not this season then definently next, a well drilled Evans side, whos made some positive signings.

Just watched the game, this was the extent of Orient's attacking play. Seriously.

Normally Semedo, two banks of four, kicks the ball forward to McCallum where Mansfield comfortably intercept. Beyond words.

Can count on one hand how many times Dalby was involved, nevermind touched the ball.

Hope Paul McCallum injury isn't too bad, never nice to see a player in that much pain, hope he makes a fast recovery.

Feel so sorry for a side that has Ollie Palmer as their main striker christ how is he a footballer? well i guess its our fault.

Id rather orient and county stay up, not nice seeing big clubs be ran so badly
