Despite having no fucking players, it's not an awful starting 11 at this moment in time.

Surprised your keeper has managed to step up, always thought he looked a bit shite in League One, must be doing something right though.

I'm not his biggest fan, started off well in Championship but as season went on he was clearly out of his depth. We got Martinez in and he never stood a chance of getting back into the team.

We've only got him and Loach (who's transfer listed) at minute, we'll bring a number one in, still desperate for Martinez back but he'll be off to Spain for the season.

Kelle Roos would be a good signing for you lot. He was very good for us in the Capital One cup, but seems to have pushed down in the pecking order after Carson's signing. I think a regular first team spot would see him flourish.

We could've had him a couple of years ago before he signed for you but Sean O'Driscoll chose Elliot Parish instead

Seems like a good 'keeper. God knows if he'll ever get the chance here, but I guess the new goalkeeper coach will give him a clean slate.

With Carson and Grant, though, I just don't see it. Even if he's better, he doesn't have the name or reputation to jump ahead of the queue.

After this week

Collin (won't be first choice)

Buxton Thorpe Collins Mattock

Ledesma Frecklington Smallwood White

Derbyshire Ward

Looks far stronger than a week ago and doesn't look like a team that is favourites for relegation.

Slightly better now:
Bond
Gunter Hector McShane Obita
McCleary Williams Quinn Robson-Kanu
Pogrebnyak Sa

Looks like we'll definitely be in the market for another striker, which may replace Pog. We'll also sign another goalkeeper (probably Al Habsi) but not sure if that'll make Bond first or second choice. We're also likely to sign a backup full back. Do need a left winger, but doubt we can afford one unless we sell Robson-Kanu.

Nine internationals, and the only two that haven't have played for England U21s..

I suspect we will probably be going for a formation change mind.

That Derby side should walk it, Bent not even in the starting 11...

That's why I suspect a formation change to accommodate him. Think him and Martin could work together very well.

Scary strike force you've got there. 40 goals between the pair minimum I reckon.

Unless we sell Martin of course. Numerous Prem clubs are sniffing, but our £10m asking price may put them all off.

Won't be our team, but I'd mix it up a bit.

Hope we sack off 4-3-3, didn't work for us last season. Was more of a 4-5-1. Was no coincidence that as soon as we went with 2 up top we went 7 unbeaten.

That'd be a half decent game.

Think we'll go like this at the moment:

Silvestri

Berardi
Bamba
Bellusci
Taylor

Cook
Adeyemi
Mowatt

Byram
Wood
Erwin

Though still expecting a left sided player. When you write it down you realise how young our team is. Eight players no older than 24.

Big fan of that lineup. Your midfield is full of young players with huge potential, and if Chris Wood can score the goals you'll do well.

Beats Tonge, Norris, Brown and Green under Warnock

But absolutely. Glad we're building around youth. A team you can get behind 100%. Well maybe other than Bellusci

Just wonder if we have the cutting edge to threaten. Erwin has apparently looked good in pre-season which is a bonus. We shall see but I don't think we'll be in a relegation scrap this year. The concern is that I can't see the young players hanging around for another year after this. Byram is getting back to his best and it goes to show his talent that he's equally capable at right back, right midfield or up in a front three.

Looking forward to it anyway!

Halford and Buxton the other way around?

Decent team that, relies a little on Derbyshire continuing his post Christmas form

Not sure about Roos, think his inexperience might be a problem. It's all well and good playing in reserve games but I'm not sure if he will cut it in the first team.

Defence looks ok, better than last season anyway, seems fairly solid to be honest. Don't really know much about Thorpe or Smallwood to comment either.

The 2 Ward's are ok-ish, and Ledesma is hit and miss. Think Derbyshire will have a good year mind.

All in all I still think you have a couple of weak spots, but it's better than the team you had last season, think it's good enough to survive anyway.

If I had choice then I'd leave it at that but Halford's played up top in pre season in every game so far and Steve introduced him as a striker, so god knows.

Roos could be a problem or he could perform like Martinez and be key for us, your right though it's a risk.

Smallwood is our best player, does all the unseen work a bit like Makelele did and doesn't get the headlines.

The front 4 is liable to change browse start of season, we'll get a right winger and striker in.

I'm happy with it too, think we'll be more comfortable this year.

That Wednesday team is so alien to me

I reckon this season is so hard to call. A couple of teams who I expect to be right up there but other than that, I think lots of teams have claims, even ones who didn't do great last year.

Even though the promoted teams tend to do alright in the Championship, it's probably the first time I've known it where teams who didn't do great last year are strengthening up. Bolton, Charlton and Huddersfield at the moment are the ones I'd be worried for, but we've seen it so often that those backed for relegation end up in the top six! I know it's a cliche but I really think there's no easy games on paper this season especially.

Mate, your Leeds team is hardly 'known' barring the decent kids.
