Still think Bruce will turn up at Wolves once everything has settled down regarding their takeover.

Guessing he simply left Hull because he was sick of what was going on behind the scenes which must be very worrying for Hull fans. Is there a sale of the club in the pipeline or are the current owners just making excuses (ie putting off any sale until after the transfer window) because they don't really want to sell?

There was a firm offer from an American group and also interest from at least one other party. The Americans met the owners valuation, owners upped their asking price, Americans met new price, owners upped it again, Americans fucked off, owners say they've delayed the sale of the club until the end of the transfer window so new players can be signed, manager resigns two days later because the owners won't buy players. It's an absolute mess. Rumours this morning that at least six players handed in transfer requests on Friday. When you consider we currently have around 12 fit players, this is disastrous!

Rumours Martinez is their number one choice. You'd have to think if you were Martinez you'd hold out for something else, this Hull gig is a hiding to nothing surely.

I dunno. On the face of it it looks like you're in for a season of punishment. But I suppose the upside of that is that you've almost got a free ride as the circumstances alleviate you of pretty much any blame if/when the club go down bottom. If somehow Hull survived, or even if they didn't come dead last and made a fight of staying up then it's got to be looked at as a positive on his CV.
He's likely got nothing better on.

Tell that to Remi Garde. He'll probably never get another gig in England again; and I certainly don't think he can be blamed for how garbage Villa were last year (Albeit he didn't help matters).

Not really similar though. Villa are a club that are well used to the top tier of football. Hull are not. Villa would not have expected relegation. Hull will expect nothing else. This is a side that currently can't even fill the subs bench for a game. Despite any similarity in squad quality the levels of expectation are very different.

I guess the takeover has stalled as the Americans want to buy Hull City, but the Allams only sell Hull Tigers.......contract draw up must be a nightmare

Any idea who the two allegedly are? I can't view his tweets.

Bob Bradley has now moved into odds-on favourite this evening. His achievements at his last two clubs have been excellent, and his overall career win percentage is marginally over 50%. Not convinced by him, but certainly intrigued...

Would be pure guesswork as to who the two are but Nixon is generally pretty solid with his info. Bradley would be an interesting choice.

At impersonating a footballer maybe. We got mugged off there, the only good thing about him is his celebration.

Bob Bradley had been favourite, now back out to 2/1 as Roberto Martinez is again odds on. Probably all a load of bollocks - who in their right mind would want to work for our owners?!

Interestingly, Bernd Schuster has recently been priced at 14/1 by SkyBet.

I suppose its not a terrible job to take, on a hiding to nothing this season lalmost certainties for relegation so the new man will get a free season at it, if Hull do go down they have a crazy amount of cash to go at it again. Could see Martinez being tempted.

That celebration is the only thing worse than his footballing ability.

Zola linked to the Hull job - probably the sort of guy who would accept whatever comes to him.

As a manager I'd be worried about him tactically but you'd get some exciting football...

This is a load of shit, Villa were as good as relegated when Garde took over and no one expected them to get out of trouble. It's exactly the same, people were saying he had nothing to lose and in fact it did his reputation no good at all.

They were 5 points adrift of safety in November. They were only a point worse off than Sunderland and 3 worse than Bournemouth, both of which survived. They were hardly as good as relegated when he took over.

Just over a week to go, can Hull even field a team?
