Are there any Boro fans on here? Anyways, a tough game as Stevenage are likely to win sooner or later so we must perform better than last week. Fingers crossed Carruthers, Hannant and Dunk are back for this one as we missed them last week with no natural width down the left, and no-one in the middle to pull the strings when we had the ball.

It's never easy going to Boro but we are a much better team away from home so fancy us to win this 2-1. Over 1000 U's fans will make the short trip so it will be a good one if we do get the 3 points.

Is this pay on the day? Haven’t got me ticket yet but fancy going.

As for the game, we’re bound to lose aren’t we, the chavs haven’t won a game yet and our away form is half decent.
Fingers crossed either dunk or Hannant(would like both) will be passed fit, Carruthers should come back in with Maris back on the bench I’d say so a midfield of Carruthers, Lewis, O’Neil but what do I know!!!

Going to this with my Cambridge supporting father in law today. Havent seen Cambridge for quite a while (probably that game that we shall not mention in present company) but he hasnt been this positive about the U's for a quite some time. Definitely positive when it comes to Calderwood. Looks a pretty solid start so far so interested to see how they deal with Stevenage who by all accounts have been useless so far.

No surprise to me that Maamria is already gone, always came across as not having a clue what he was talking about, and his chat about playing football never married up with what was actually served up on the pitch!

Think Cambridge will be disappointed with a point from that. Second half Stevenage were there for the taking and bar the the first 10 minutes were easily the better side on show.

Stevenage started the better and brighter, List causing a lot of problems and the number 9 for Stevenage busy as well. Got the goal in that early period, but from that point onward Cambridge really had the control of the match. Stevenage were little lucky I thought with a couple of challenges, one of which was given a yellow card but the tackle by Nugent in the first half looked nasty was bizarrely not even a bookable offence according to the ref!

Always felt a matter of time that Cambridge would score but they made quite a few poor decisions in the final 3rd. Calderwood was doing his nut at times telling them to get the ball wide where all the space was for Knoyle and Hannant, eventually they started doing it and carved out some really good opportunities.

Cambridge went searching for the equaliser and at 1-1 the winner leaving plenty of gaps for Stevenage to counter attack on but Stevenage were so inept, Guthrie in particular looked like he had never been a part of a counter attack in his entire footballing career, I never felt that Cambridge were under the threat of a sucker punch.

Might have won it at the end but for a really good save by Farman from Richards.

Cambridge looked decent overall, liked the goalscorer Smith who looked sharp as well as Hannant who I was told beforehand to look out for. Stevenage didn't have much but List caused issues and the goalscorer Cowley was busy. There midfield is dreadful though.

Personally disappointed with the result, thought Stevenage started well and list had Taylor all over the place for those first 10mins and his delivery was good to, deservedly went ahead but from that point on thought it was pretty much us dictating the play, not well at times but thought we done more than enough to win the game.

We wasn’t as calm on the ball as I’ve seen us before and I thought it showed, the times we did play out from the back we looked ok and scored a good goal, just some of our decision making was disappointing in the final third.

A very special word for ward(first time I’ve seen him) but wtf was calderwood thinking in giving him a contract, truly woeful, yes he’s calm but that’s only because he’s the speed of a tank, every time he was on the ball I just winced and was thinking “please don’t fuck it up”

Smith,Hannant and Taft were the stand outs for us I thought and dunk deserves credit for his assist, especially since I’ve been critical of him recently.
