Who needs Red Bull money now? Tim Sherwood Gilet's will be flying out of the Swindon Club Shop.

Although I imagine the Red Bull Gilets give you wings so on second thoughts they would still be far better.

Just what we need. Another Cockney wide boy! Still, better than going bust I suppose. That'll put another 5 or 10 on the gate.

You can all clear off and we can go back to being boring now.

As we're total shite at the moment, how come Oxford only have 3 more points?

Rovers have surprised me, mind.

I mean, it's not like we thought we were going to be good this year.

I'm very surprised Clarke is still at Rovers. Clearly a superb manager.

You've always said you expect a tough season in fairness.

Hopefully this will see us kick on and recruit well in January but who knows.

Oh we're still going down, we just want to make it interesting before we plummet in about February.

What a circus Swindon Town are.

It's all about managing the expectation, and big build ups to "significant" announcements is bound to create speculation, but the whole Red Bull thing is absolutely priceless, especially reading all of the comments on Swindon message boards, and Twitter, beforehand, only to then see them dashed with the Sherwood announcement, and people not knowing whether to try to save face by claiming it's a good appointment, or show their true feelings of disappointment.

Keep up the good work.

Saw the announcement on the local news last night. Looked & sounded like a couple of barrow boys at their local. Not a very professional presentation at all. If that was a big announcement I hate to imagine what a smaller announcement would have looked like. I'm starting to feel a little sympathy for Swindon with these two clowns running the show.

This has always been 100% Power's gig, from playing style to recruiting mainly players who have barely reached puberty.

Sherwood made some noises yesterday about tweaking the playing style and perhaps signing some more experienced pro's. As fans we've been saying this for 3 years so maybe Sherwood, as Power's mate, will finally be the one and probably the only one he trusts enough to say 'let me handle this my way' which Williams and Cooper were never able to do.

Quietly optimistic we can improve slightly over the next couple of months and then after January who knows, Sherwood will want his own players in, squad could look very different.

Sherwood had a near 60% win rate in league games for Spurs. For a club like Swindon to get him is still quite a coup.

May turn out badly, but at least the problems have been addressed. Cant think of any other L1 club that would attract him - even allowing for him being Power's mate.

QPR were expecting him, not Skeletor, and are wondering how we got him over them.

I loved all the RED BULL bollocks - funny as fuck.

I said the same when McGee joined us -- Look how that turned out. Hopefully you are more successful.

Swindon's fans actually seem disappointed that Red Bull haven't come in and re-branded their club. Personally I couldn't imagine anything worse; even if it got you to the top.

Still, tactics Tim will ensure any rise to the top doesn't happen soon

For every Swindon fan who wanted the Red Bull thing to be real there was at least one who didn't.

It's probably the investment and looking at what Leipzig have achieved. That's all well and good but there's very few real fans who'd want to scrap Swindon Town Football Club (cos that's what it is effectively) in the process.

Pretty much yeah.

Straight forward way to look at it for me is:

Investment - Yes please
Complete re-brand - Burn in hell.

Pretty sure it was only the minority of town fans that actually believe the Red Bull link up, that was pure fantasy!

Pretty happy with the appointment of Tim Sherwood, it was clear that Luke Williams wasn't cutting the mustard and I think he'll come in and change things (we really needed to shake things up) hopefully for the better. First game tomorrow on the box will be interesting!

Can only hope Sherwood repeats the success from his last club really.

Don't think we'll reach the FA Cup final but thanks for your kind words.

Winning the PL and keeping Swindon in L1 are wildly differing expectations. A 60% win ratio here would do very nicely.

Are you lot on the look-out for a new manager too?

We are actually a bit more secure now that you chaps have sown up one of the relegation places with your attempt to emulate Aston Villa.
